Soom Rosette School of Dolls Clothing Database!

Nov 12, 2010

    1. sorry for such a delayed reply, Elsii. i bought the dresses from Frezje "as is", they are modeled on her Unoa(?) i think in the shop and seem to fit my Rosette just fine. for the clothes from Kawkana, she advertises she makes her clothes for 'slim MSDs' but i gave her the specific measurements. i think she sews the dresses according to the measurements.

i wouldn't call them commissioned as i didn't need to contact the seller much in either case, i just left a note in the cart w/ payment regarding my doll's measurements. but, i do know there are other etsy vendors who do commissioned clothing, such as AmyLilley. i sent her a specific request for an order and she is making me some clothes to size. since she owns a Rosette herself, they should be nicely accurate.

i actually came back into this thread wondering if anyone can recommend me any links or keywords for sites that sell shoes that fit Rosettes? i have a collection of MSD sized shoes because i own 3 other 40cm dolls, but they are not 'slim' dolls and their shoes are too big for my Rosette (since as we know Rosette has smaller feet than standard...)

i've read the thread so i'm searching for Teen Trends and stuff but i would even welcome it if someone could tell me if places like Dollmore sell appropriate size shoes and how to find them. honestly any site is fine, but it seems like all i can find is shoes for regular MSD feet.

    2. Thanks for the info, leitan! I might just have to grab a few things from those sellers to try out since I love their stuff :3 Oh and my list of want from Amy Lilley is getting SO huuuge. Once I pay off my Sakura I'm going to go a bit bonkers with clothes I think.
I've heard that the Leeke shoes are too big for MNF feet, but that may have only been certain once, you know? I'd really like to try some also, Verity needs shoes to complete her outfit and if they don't work on her I could always use them on one of the other minis around here, I guess.

    3. I think they will be much too big- too wide and too long. They fit Volks and similar.
Like elsii said- they are also too big for MNF.

    4. hey Elsii, i got my clothes from AmyLilley last week and they are gorgeous. they also fit perfectly. you should definitely get something from her shop when you can afford to.

thanks for the feedback about the shoes, i'll avoid them for my Rosette. i've found yet another link to enquire about (if anyone knows) -

      http://www.angell-studio.com/en/?gallery-120-grid.html

i ask because i originally saw them at Mint On Card, and they were listed as being around 5.6cm in length. Angell Studio's site lists them as being a little over 6cm. so there is conflicting information regarding sizing. any hopes they might be Rosette suitable?

    5. bumping this thread with what i -hope- is a new discovery and that i am not dumb and missed someone who already may have found out about this. commentary is copy/pasted from my flickr:

here is my TRU impulse but that turned out so well!
i was in some random doll aisle looking at "Moxie Teenz" which i had never heard of before. they looked kinda like Bratz in the face, but i noticed their bodyshapes and clothes sizing looked suspiciously familiar.

after some careful eyeballing, i purchased this violet dress and pink shrug fashion set.... and it worked!

the dress is literally a 100% perfect fit. my Rosette Muse has the girl (small) bust, not the lady (large) one, so i suspect that if i hadn't made that choice the velcro at the back would not hold shut. i'm really pleased!

more detail of the Moxie Teenz outfit. stockings are custom made by amylilley and not part of the outfit.

the real reason i was so happy about finding this is it's the first outfit that matches these shoes properly. they are Little Miss Matched shoes that i bought at TRU on a previous occasion and are a very similar color to the dress.

so with the exception of the stockings (amylilley), her entire outfit was hauled from TRU.

i have no idea if all Moxie Teenz clothes will fit her but now i have discovered a really cheap clothing line that might fit her, it's pretty cool discovery for me.

~sorry for the poor quality of pictures, i only have access to my phone camera at the moment~

    6. I have this Moxie Teenz Dress also and it fits my Pure Lady Body girl also. :D Good to know the little mismatched shoes fit also. :)

I recently purchased a Goodreau dress for Livi and it fits her quite nicely. I will post pics soon.

    7. oh, it's nice to know it will fit Lady body too! the velcro is quite tight which had me wondering about that. i would love to see the Goodreau dress when you upload it.

    8. Whelp, that news dooms me! Time to hit the TRU! Thanks for letting us know! (And you too, Leitan!)

    9. aaaand it just took me 10 mins to figure out what the heck TRU was  It looks great though! I am often surprised by how curvy these girls can look at times.
      slow elsii is slow.

    10. What section is the little miss matched shoes located in TRU? I will be going there on my day off.

    11. it's just part of the 'dolls and girls toys' set of aisles at my local one (which is not the biggest one ever, they have maybe 6 aisles of that kind of stuff)... i'm sure you could just ask someone who worked at your local TRU. for me, i found it just past where they stock Monster High dolls, about an aisle over.... but it was very small and easy to miss (hah), they had some fashion packs sets and that was it, no actual LMM dolls to plunder in my local store.

    12. Livi is wearing a Goodreau Glenda outfit I bought second hand. It also has a lil bolero type jacket that fits as well but requires hand removal. It fits quite well.

I have also recently discovered that Kish 14" shoes fit really well. I ordered a couple pairs from 2debsAdorables on ebay. Will add pics later.

    13. Livi looks lovely! i'll have to look into Goodreau clothes =)

so i come to you guys with another toystore find. this time from an independent toystore (i do not know if you can get this brand at TRU) so you may have to look online. my friend's sister works at the store and i just happened to be browsing there with him when i came across this line of clothing:

*this is an english/french speaking company called Corolle. anyway, these clothes are designed for their 33cm line of dolls, but it turned out that i'm really good at eyeballing - all the clothes in this set, including the shoes, fit my 43cm Muse Armeria perfectly.

*Corolle has two lines of dolls, the 33cm dolls pictured "Les Cheries" and also "lifesize" baby dolls. so obviously, don't get the two confused if you look for them online! it seems the 33cm range is newer and something they expanded into recently.

iphone snaps of my Armeria wearing the set:

not included in the set: the necklace pictured, wig, eyes, and socks.

the shoes fit perfectly without socks and are a tight but do-able fit with these thick cotton socks. even if your Rosette is 47cm, i believe the girls all have the same shoe size, so i hope this is of interest to Rosette owners everywhere.

the set cost me around $20 iirc, not cheap but not too pricey either. considering how well it fits + the shoe factor i think i got my money's worth.

i haven't purchased any other Corolle outfits yet but i thought you guys might like to know about them.

edit: i should also remind people that my Armeria has the Girl bust, not the Lady bust, but the ribbons on this particular dress shown are adjustable. obviously, mileage may vary.

    14. When I decided to get a Rosette, the biggest thing that I worried about being able to provide for her was the shoes. The seller I bought my Fir from told me that Kish shoes were a good bet. Not familiar with that type of doll, I did a random search and found a wonderful seller on eBay who makes shoes for Kish. They were also really affordable, so I took a chance. I'm absolutely delighted. Here is Saga in her burgundy suede shoes:

      Here is the eBay store.

She was also very friendly and shipped fast for free. I'm going to get a pair of her boots next and hope I have the same kind of luck. :)

    15. I wanted to drop a link here to ReleaseRain on etsy. She also makes shoes for 14" Kish, like the Deb's Adorables shoes. The shoes for 17" Tonner Matt dolls also say they should fit 14" Kish. I haven't taken a chance on any yet though, to know for sure. There's a lot of sneakers in here for the 14" Kish dolls if that's what anyone was looking for.

    16. And unlike Deb's, RR ship internationally :D

    17. I really love this shoes, but the shop don't send abroad...

    18. Wha is a gold mine about it! Which began to depress me not to find clothes with good for my "little" miss, thank you for this!

    19. There was a question about Yo-SD clothes, and I have some thoughts and some photos to go with them. Aplogies if I get a little wordy, and for the messy background.

I bought two Yo-SD outfits, one knit and elastic outfit from Nine9 Style, and one made from a cotton woven fabric. The skirt in these photos can be seen in this listing though it doesn't seem to be available on the site anymore. Makes for a good frame of reference of how long the Yo skirt needs to be to work on these gals.

The whole outfit is a t-shirt, a cardigan, and the skirt. The skirt fits great. It's at a great length for what I want for her. The sweater snaps just fine, but it also is below the bustline.

This shirt is a bit like Megan Fox wearing her boyfriend's kid's t-shirts. It goes on, but it's too short. However, I think Girl bust gals might have better luck.

As for the cotton woven outfit, I had less luck. The shirt didn't fit at all, but that may have to do with bust size again. Shirt length was more of an issue here than with the knit.

But the shorts? They're awesome. A bit tighter than they're intended to be, but they're great. I have to wonder if they were made to be like culottes maybe? Or like those shorts that look like a skirt that are so popular in Japan and Korea right now?

I sat her down to check her movement, and its a little stiff, but doable. And there's not even a lot of butt crack showing, but that's thanks to the snap being able to rotate in place.

Also here is another fit issue, I guess. In this kind of pose we have a little booty showing. (And disregard the top, it's one of Frezja's)

A few last thoughts: Girl bust gals will have better luck with the whole Yo-SD thing. Pick and choose your items well, go for knits and look for pleats or ruffles in skirts or shorts. Single back snaps will help control crack on tighter items.

      Resinsoul High-heeled feet:
A few things drew me to these feet. One was the price. They're $10 USD, and after splitting shipping with someone else, they were still the better priced option for the risk of them not working. Second, they're in the similar shoe range with the 14" Kish dolls. They're just a smidge wider and longer. The Clothing thread for RS/BBB dolls is here. Third, it was also that they were all one piece. Trying to track down the ball joint for the minifee feet would be a bear.

Color concerns: The feet I bought were NS, to go on my NS girl from '09. Those of you with CW or BT girls, the RS white is a paper white. RS also has a Light Tan, which may be closer to Soom's Brown Tan. You may need to send them an email requesting them if you don't see that color on the site. They are happy to fulfill requests like this for colors that they don't have on their site.

Here they are on her legs. They fit pretty well, and don't really interrupt the line of her lower leg at all. Here you can see the color difference, even if the focus is terrible. The foot on the lower part of the screen is BBB NS, and the foot dangling on the top of the photo is Nobility NS from '09, which is in the same peachy color tone as Soom NS. Please pardon her injury on her right ankle, it's a souvenir from her first owner.

Here we have one Rosette flat foot with the Resinsoul heeled foot. The Rosette foot has been blushed a bit.

      Comparison of the bottoms...

Here you can see the difference in length pretty clearly. I tried to hold her legs together with the heels even.

I would have taken picks in some shoes fit for Tonner, but sadly I can't find them. But I will add when I find them.
