My Sami/Picro Free Choice teenie arrived out of the blue yesterday. Here is a terrible picture of her with my Picro. I need to get some glue for her head fins

 

Adorable, @karleecakes! I love their dresses!! I know the one on the right is a frezje dress, but may I ask where you got the one on the left? I love it!!

Speaking of frezje dresses, the two I ordered earlier this month are at the post office, but I can't pick them up until tomorrow! I can't wait! I got a gorgeous purple one for Aria (my Rico Jr). Just in time to photograph her in it before I send her head off to maiya for her face-up!!

 

New Frezje dresses are here! So for my two girls who are going out for their face-ups, one last photoshoot of Luna and Aria before their new face-ups. Luna is getting a new face to match her cousin Tytus, and Aria is getting her first face-up. I hate sending them away, but I'm excited to see what they look like when maiya gets finished with them!

I'm sending them to maiya, here on DoA. The same artist who did my Skoll, Tytus.

I got my Feny the other day from the christmas free choice event. I got him with a white centaur body, but it came unassembled so I'm gonna wait till I get the chance to paint it before I string it. (I was kind of intimidated to open the box and see his body in pieces because I didnt expect it, but I feel a lot better about it after finding multiple tutorials on stringing soom teeny centaurs. I've never strung any doll before and this guy is only my second resin, so this will be interesting.)

I'm trying to decide between Apollo and Jay for a name. I made him to be the child version of a centaur OC who is an idol singer, so I feel like he desperately wants his legs attached cos he wants to dance already.


I have a question for people who ordered in the free choice event, and I would like to know for people who already received their teenie gems and people who will receive them soon. Was your COA for The Gem or Neo AngelRegion? I was very surprised to find my COA and guidebook was for the latter. At first I wondered if all Soom COAs were like this, but asking on BJD Addicts confirmed that I should have gotten one for The Gem. I was worried there'd been a mixup and I'd gotten someone ELSE'S, but when I used the serial number checker it came up with my order, so the number is correct. I was curious if they just ran out of Gem cards or whatever. This is my first Soom doll so I dont know how common this is.
I am completely, utterly in love with my little guy and cannot foresee me EVER wanting to sell him at this point in time, so its not quite as annoying to me having a 'faulty'(?) COA as it might be to others, but still. I'm curious what others ones are like.

(Another thing I'm curious about...I was under the impression that ordering him with a faceup would give me a random pair of eyes as well, but he didnt come with any. I didnt mind this cos I was most likely changing them anyway (I went out and got him some blue eyes the day he arrived actually). Is not coming with eyes normal for Soom, even with a faceup?)

I think she'll be a girl! I already have a boy Sammi (without the headfins... I really only got the Sammi head so my Sammi could finally be complete hehe) and a boy snake taur from Sugarble. I want someone to put cute dresses on :3 I'm also leaning towards getting her some antlers and make her a jackalope

@Torino, I would definitely contact Soom if it worries you. I'm a worrier by nature, so I definitely would if I were in your shoes. I'm sure it's fine, but checking with Soom will make you feel better, and they have always been wonderfully nice to me on the Q&A when I ask questions.

Your little one is VERY cute. ^_^ I wish you the best of luck with stringing. I wouldn't worry too much about that part, because the tutorials I've seen (Crimson_Falcon did one that was great) are really helpful and it doesn't look near as hard as I would have imagined before seeing the tutorials!

 

Yeah! I don't think I've ever shared this pic of him, though it is quite old... I haven't had much drive to play with my dolls in a while.

EDIT: Soom is rereleasing Han/Asronn for a few days. Is anyone going to get them? I actually just bought this doll Second hand and I'm waiting on them now so this is irony lol. But this doll is hard to find second hand, especially the human version in anything but grey.

 

Hey all... I need some advice. I just found the PERFECT wig color for Aria, but it only comes in ONE style and it's completely wrong for her... It's a ForMyDoll wig (the color is Deep Gray Purple): Welcome to For my doll - BJD WIG, doll wig

I guess the advice I need is: Does anyone have experience with ForMyDoll? Is there ANY hope whatsoever of me emailing them and asking them to make one of their other styles in the Deep Gray Purple? I am almost practically desperate because the color is EXACTLY what I have been searching for. *sigh*

Or if anyone has any advice on other wigs in similar colors, that would be a possible alternative. I am looking for a charcoal gray color with purple highlights... kinda specific, I know, but I love the charcoal gray on Aria (she is borrowing Luna's gray wig), but was hoping to find something with purple highlights.

Looking forward to any tips/advice/help anyone can offer! ^_^ Thanks!!

Yeah, that's the smaller version (the 5-6in) of the wig I found. I did find this wig: Welcome to For my doll - BJD WIG, doll wig It's a lighter version of the color, and the style isn't quite what I imagined for her... but it could be an option.

I am very tempted to ask them about it... :/

 

I can tell you definitively: Yes! Though I don't recommend email, I recommend the 1:1 board, but you can in fact request any other style in that color. It will cost $28, and they should give you the instructions for placing the order or create a special temporary item for you to order. Since they do actually make all their own wigs (they're not a reseller for another wholesaler), they have a lot of customization they can do.
