Souldoll Double limited Theme boy Street Fighter JinWoo

I ordered mine on 23/11~ and i got the payment confirmation today*v*
souldoll said i will be getting my boy before X'mas ~~~!
can't wait to see him~~!

 

I have a question - If I am going to pay by paypal, but NOT CC paypal, do I still choose it anyways? I'm a little confused n_n;;

Ah, thank you so much! Well, I've just ordered and paid my boy off ! I am SO excited, as I was bummed (although not entirely thrilled) when they stopped zii... but this boy is so much happier, I cannot get over how perfect he is

Does anyone have a name/story for their incoming boy? Mine definately does not fit the 'street fighter' bill, ironically his name is going to be Pillow D;

They sent me an invoice after they saw my message, so it's all good I'll be paying tomorrow~!

 

Just curious, but if you don't pay by the 28th, they cancel your order? Do you still have to pay that 20% cancellation fee? Or is this a rather special case, seeing as how he's a limited run?

EDIT: Just realized that they only charge a 20% fee if the transaction is already under way and payment has been processed and etc. If there hasn't been any payment and only an order placed, and not even an invoice sent, they'll cancel graciously.

 

I completed payment for my boy in yesterday. He'll be my first doll. >_<

The original price on Jinwoo was $587, correct? If only I'd gone to Souldoll's website a week earlier. D':

Here's to hoping that someone will get their Jinwoo, not bond and sell it (or sells one for any other circumstance. Or just sells the head! Oh god I want you so!). Oh marketplace, here I come!
(I so do not need TWO more dolls, but lord, is he gorgeous, and he looks almost exactly like a Hypermaniac Omicron!)

 

I'd say I came to find out about a few Souldoll BJDs a little to late since they are now discontinued..
Personally, I like seeing the doll in person before I make up my mind, which usually causes me to miss on the Limited Edition dolls and such.
One doll I fell in love so quick with is Souldoll Jinwoo.
But I haven't heard of this doll or seen this doll until very recently, and now I am desperate to find him.
(Though, I need to save up if I plan to get him..)
I see that Souldoll's got other beautiful boys like Ize and Soo-Hyun, but I'd love to know what happend to Jinwoo?
His name is not on the discontinued doll list, and I don't see him on Souldoll sales page either.
Is Jinwoo discontinued? I'd like to know what happened..

Also, has anyone missed on their dream dolls because they were doing a little bit of research like me?

 

Jinwoo was a very limited release from Souldoll, so yes, I guess you could say that he's been discontinued--but that implies that he was once widely available, which he wasn't. Really, nothing happened to him! He was sold exactly the way Souldoll intended him to be.

Souldoll announced a strictly limited ordering period for Jinwoo last fall, as a lot of manufacturers do with special releases. Some manufacturers release a certain number of limited dolls, while others produce as many as are ordered within the specified ordering period; it just depends on the particular manufacturer's preference for that release. If you insist on waiting for owner pictures, you will always have to take your chances on the secondary market for limited dolls--that's just the way the hobby works.

That said, I do see Jinwoo popping up in the DoA Marketplace now and then--and there was one on eBay not too long ago. So don't lose hope! Keep posting, and you'll get Marketplace access soon, so you can keep an eye on listings there. Good luck finding your dream guy!

 

Ouch, I see. I didn't know Jinwoo was a time limited BJD. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out on the market while saving up some money for him.
I don't have an access to market places yet.. I think I have about 13~15 days left to wait.
I can't wait until I get the access and see the face-up commissioners' threads as I am looking for one for my boy

After having Souldoll discontinue a bunch of their previous dolls, I'm a little worried they are going to discontinue what they have right now as well.
I'd like to get Ize someday and hopefully I won't be too too late.

 

Souldoll discontinued all the dolls that were offered on the old body. Once they released the double jointed body they produced new face sculpts for those bodies and discontinued the older dolls.

 

Yup--and the style of sculpting changed dramatically, along with the body change.

Just thinking out loud here . . . even before the new sculpting style, Souldoll had a history of producing very small runs for some heads. Anyone remember Gunun? I still wish I had grabbed him when he popped up in the DoA Marketplace a couple of years ago.

I do remember that name "Gunun" though I don't remember how he looked..
I just remember thinking.. "wow, they actually named the doll with a Korean name" because all the other BJD companies kinda leaned towards naming their dolls with English names at the time..
Now that you've mentioned that, I realized that they do have a history of producing very small numbers.
(One of the small sized dolls they discontinued used to be my wish doll awhile ago.)
