1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

SoulDoll mini dolls Soulkids Discussion part 6

Sep 23, 2018

    1. This might be kind of a dumb question, but what exactly is a 'concept art doll'? Is it just when they're offered in fantasy colours?

    2. Concept art dolls are their time limited fullsets basically.

    3. So, OF COURSE after I pay full price, SoulDoll now has several in-stock Millies for sale for 15% off... sigh. Good time to grab a bargain if you've been wanting her!

    4. I saw where they have some in stock Millies, so I hope this means mine will ship soon. :eusa_pray

    5. Does anyone here have Berry? Or Linzy? It's impossible to find IRL pics!

    6. @Aurify : I believe user ederamari on Instagram just received and posted pictures of her Berry.A girl! She was the C.A.D. that was in tan skin with hooves. She's gorgeous! Unfortunately, I don't think any Linzy's have been made/delivered just yet since their order period was fairly recent and it seems Souldoll is running a bit slower on production at the moment. :)

    7. Ooh, thank you! Berry is such a pretty doll, though I do think her human version is my favourite. Hoping to see some IRL pics of Millie and Linzy soon! Or maybe another version of Linzy during their winter promotion period.

    8. New doll alert! Angeline. She's very pretty and a perfect winter season release! I think I'm still leaning towards a Berry or a Linzy for my next SoulDoll, though. And really, I need to receive my Millie first!

    9. I still didn't get Miksa his proper outfit but at least he's wearing the right colors now.

He's so pretty :love and I really like the Soulkids boy body. I might get another boy at some point.

    10. Based on what I'm seeing in the waiting room, it looks like SoulDoll is only now shipping dolls from the last winter event. Has anyone received a doll released after that time - Caleb, Molly, Mila, Millie, etc? I was under the impression from their website that the wait would be closer to 4 months, as opposed to a full year....

    11. @Aurify I ordered Millie this past April and finished my layaway in July, but still haven't received an email for shipping. I hope it doesn't take a year! That's why I avoided a dealer and ordered direct. *_*

    12. Hmm. I ordered my Millie late, but given that they sold two 'in stock' Millies via Instagram a few weeks ago, you'd think they'd be shipping out people's preorders from April.

Maybe at some point I should send them a general email asking about current wait times - I have more dolls I'd like to order from them, but if the current wait times are excessively long I might put off ordering those dolls for the time being. It seems like they release a new doll every month or two, so I really hope they're on the ball!

    13. ahhh he's so lovely!

Honestly Souldoll's bodies are the best and worst thing about their dolls to me, at least the older ones. The old ones don't pose well at all, but they're so gorgeous i can't find it in me to care. Do the newer bodies seem to pose any better that you've seen?

(also good luck to everyone waiting! Millie's very pretty~)

    14. If you do email them about wait times, I'd love to hear what they say! I'm also planning on ordering a doll from them, possibly during the next event if it's a good one, and I'd like to know what kind of wait I'm in for. :sweat

    15. Thank you :love.

I think the new bodies are generally good posers. The boys a lot more so than the girls though! Because at least on my Soulkids girl her thighs are not the same length so she can't stand properly. They might have fixed it by now though. My girl is from 2021.

Both bodies move very smoothly which I like. It doesn't feel mechanical at all. I feel like it's their arms are a bit limited in what poses they'll hold. But the poses they hold always look very elegant and pretty.

    16. Ohhh, that's good to know! Looking forward to finding out with my inevitable next Souldoll, haha. Bummer about your girl's thighs though, goodness. That seems like a pretty big oversight.

My older boy and girl are also pretty decent in the way they pose-- very smooth, like you said-- they're just also very limited. And the hand positions never really look quite right. But like i said, they're so pretty i don't really care! My instinct is to say my boy is also slightly less limited than my girl, but i haven't really messed with the girl's torso joint, which is the main difference i can think of offhand. I'll have to see what they can do the next time they're out!

    17. @noblescientist - I have no complaints about the new double jointed bodies' posing - it's my favourite body and those legs can do everything! The arms are not as varied but I find them very graceful and nice to handle so I don't really mind. My body is made in 2019 and one of the legs is a little shorter indeed... but it's really only a millimeter's difference and I don't really find it hindering her standing (she stands much better than my other dolls tbh). How much it bothers posing might depend on how old the silicone mould a specific doll is cast from was, things can dislodge a little bit as it wears out and an already shorter limb can become more imbalanced (I think it's quite evident on minifees who also have the leg length issue). In any case I thoroughly recommend the body :)

    18. I haven't heard directly from anyone at SoulDoll, but I did notice while browsing their site that the time for a nude, basic doll is up to 12 weeks, from 8.... so, yes, they're definitely slower now than they were at this time last year.

    19. Souldoll's wait has definitely increased! But I am happy they have had such successful releases with their dolls. I just got a doll from them yesterday and they were so nice to include a free gift with him~ so even if it's a bit longer, I know I'll get a quality product with them.

Although, just to pass along helpful information for anyone who has ordered via layaway... Souldoll told me they no longer begin working on layaway orders until the layaway is paid off (I inquired about my wait after I ordered a Baby Pink fullset). So if you ordered via layaway, you will have to tack on an additional 3-4 months after you finish your last payment.

    20. SoulDoll has announced their winter event discount on Instagram, but no news of any new dolls (at least, not yet).
