1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Spiritdoll 1/4 Smart Mini discussion Part 2

Nov 15, 2014

    1. How do I do that? I'm such a newbie to this site.

    2. Top of the page. Community > Waiting rooms. You should be able to find the spiritdoll room pretty easily. The directions to add yourself to the list are on the first post

    3. Congratulations @Meggethann! Snowdrop is very cute. :D

A friend has a Snowdrop and I went to see her last weekend. Her doll is really beautiful and has a great body!.
I decided to choose Laurel as my new doll :D I hope to buy her in April.

    4. Ughhhh... Even not happy with the hands I still want my snowdrop to be shipping already! I finally have plans for her. Her eyes just arrived in my group order and I can't wait until they get here. I have two wigs waiting at home for her to try on... I hope one of them looks fantastic. If not I'll sell them and buy something new in my Leeke GO. They're supposed to be restocking. I decided that she's going to be Remy's twin sister. They're going to be interracial twins <3

    5. Ahhhhhhh I should be getting a shipping notice any day now I feel. I'm getting a bit antsy

    6. wow really!? we ordered about the same time didn't we?

    7. Looks like same day, Jan 13th. I would expect that you'll be getting a shipping notice soon since yours was NS. I got mine in tan so I know that I'll have probably a couple more weeks to wait. My last two SDs were shipped out at just about exactly the three month mark. They're pretty punctual in my experience so I wouldn't be surprised if yours was ready before mine.

    8. it would be awesome if she shipped and got here before RR. knowing my luck though she'll ship and get held at the post office while I'm at RR.

    9. Sucky, true. But at least you'll have something to look forward to when you get home. Im anticipating Rhys to get here before AN. I ordered Remy around the same time in 2014 and she arrived just in time.

    10. My boy is stuck at the face-up artist as far as I know. He's been there at least since February 26th and was still there on March 31st. I'm getting so impatient. He and the event head will be my first dolls, so I have no distractions, ughhh.

    11. I'm getting beyond antsy waiting for my doll. I got mine blank since I already have a faceup artist in mind. Her eyes just got here last week and I've had her two wigs that I hope will look good on her for a few months now. I just want her to be home already!! But shes tan so I know it takes a bit longer to process.

    12. @itzreeseybetch I've contacted the company about the hands as well. I said I would pay separately for them if need be. I'm not very hopeful, but maybe strength in numbers? I suppose it depends on the reason they changed them in the first place. Either way, I'm quite disappointed.
Also, I'm having trouble finding any other photos of the new hands. They look okay from what I can tell, but the other hands are what I loved so much about the doll. Has anyone come across any posing photos with the new hands?

    13. @delilahfleur *sigh* I don't know about the strength in numbers bit... But good luck. They told me that they don't have the molds anymore and they haven't had the old hands for a "long time". They didn't tell me how long was long... But my last purchase was in 2014 with the classic hands. That's what I'm calling them now.

    14. Maybe the old hands took longer to make because they were so delicate. I am also sad about the hands changing. I hadn't even noticed until someone pointed it out because I have only seen one doll who has the newer hands (the one posted here in this forum). I am seconding @delilahfleur with hopes for more pictures of the newer hands.

It would be great if enough people asking could help change their minds. @itzreeseybetch why would they get rid of the molds? Seems like they would have to keep something. Or do people really just toss them?

    15. @Meggethann You know the phrase "breaking the mold" well that's a very literal term. Like, I follow Harucasting on flickr and when artists send their dolls to be molded they state clearly that they will keep the molds for 6 months or during casting and throw them away afterwards which means destroying them, and they even send you pieces of your destroyed mold as proof that no one else can use it again. When I asked Spiritdoll if I could have the old hands I'd been hoping that maybe out of nostalgia and a show of the hard work put into them but they said that they do not have the molds anymore. You can check their wording in the contact us section because I asked them there.

    16. Hey, does anyone know if Spiritdoll sends their heads out of the country for face up service? I saw in a box-opening post that DollChateau (based in China) sent their heads to Korea for face-up services. I was just wondering if Spiritdoll did the same. I know they send out the heads for face-ups for sure.

Anyway, it's been over 17 weeks since I ordered, and Sunday makes 18. As far as I'm aware, my doll has not shipped yet. Last update from them was on the 31st of March, and no changes in my order status or further communication since then. I ordered one full doll with face-up, a blank event head, and a outfit set and pair of shoes, so it is a rather large order. I'm very hopeful that I get at least a shipping notice within the next two weeks!

p.s. I've said that at least once a week since February 15th.

    17. @somewheresunbear I ordered January 1st no face up, event head, and two pairs of shoes. The status says "paid, confirmed, preparing". I also contacted and asked for a shipping estimate. They just replied that the status was "preparing", which I already knew... I just don't know what that actually means.

    18. That's what mine says. It has said that since December 26th. They don't change status for when your order is still processing (as in haven't started to make it yet) and when it's actually begun to be cast. I asked them about status at the end of February and they said that the head was with the face-up artist and they were just waiting to get it back. On March 31st, they said the head was still with the face-up artist. So, it's been with her over a month now, at the very least. I'm so impatient!

    19. @somewheresunbear Yeah I had seen a lot of people get theirs really quickly, as in only two months. I figured the event would make it a little longer but I still thought it would be quicker than most companies. At this point I'm hoping for the beginning of May at latest... Shipping itself tends to be so looooong. Hopefully they will exceed my expectations! <3

    20. They don't send them out of the country but their faceups are not done in house. They send them to an outside artist.
