Spiritdoll 1/4 Smart Mini discussion Part 2

forgot to post pictures of my girl! she's about to be sent to the faceup artist in a few days.

 

Sorry for bein' a bugaboo with a double post, but has anyone here had issues with their Smart girl standing? I'd really like to know if this is something I should contact Spiritdoll about before I send her off to get her faceup done. She can stand with effort, but her ankles are SUPER floppy compared to my first doll. (DC k-02 body) Is this the norm for them?

 

@dizii My girl has the same issues with her ankles. I am thinking about hot glue sueding them for some extra stability.

 

You have to get used to them. The ankles aren't the strongest because they're so small, and look inside at how thin the elastic inside is. But they're good standers once you get used to it. Also, shoes help a ton xD Get some boots with good ankle support and it works wonders.

 

Ohhhhh. I see! Okay, SUPER glad it isn't a defect or something. I'm still a little new to this (she's my second doll!), so I wasn't entirely sure if I should be worried. Hehe, thanks for answering!

 

Anyone care to spam some Snowdrop pics? Still waiting for my lovely to come home to me. Soon though. I can feel it. Maybe I will get my shipping notice on my birthday.

Does anyone happen to have any pictures of Candlenut? The boy is so cute but though not super new. I thought
some pics would be somewhere by now. Though I see someone ordered a Laurel which I believe is the same sculpt?

 

Well it is my birthday and sadly no shipping notice, but soon. I know it will be soon.

Just out of curiousty, do you any of you own SDs as well as your Snowdrop? Originally I planned to stay all in MSD size, but I fell in love with a male SD sculpt and was curious if anyone could post pics with their SD next to their Snowdrop just so I could see how crazy or not the size difference might be. I still think SD might be too big for me, but I feel like they never make mature male sculpts in MSD size and I would like Snowdrop to have a mature male friend. Anyway...guess this is also just an excuse to see more Snowdrop pics while I wait for my lovely girl to come home too. Hehe.

 

So did you get two Snowdrop heads in your order? I noticed the one pic of your Snowdrop holding a head.

 

When I ordered they were having an event, but any doll and get same size head free and I chose to get another tan snowdrop head.

I can PM you a photo of my snowdrop next to a bunch of different sized SD if you want. I have about 1 of every sized doll just about now xD

Oh wow! So when you reference your twin Snowdrops, are you talking about the two tan Snowdrops? I just assumed you meant Remy had a tan twin arriving.

 

you were right! Rhys is Remy's tan twin. The extra head is going to be her sleeping head. I'm going to try and use epoxy to fill it in

 

Sigh...so maybe a 4th of July gift to me!?!? Haha...the wait is killing me...I guess I still have a few weeks to go. So much wishful thinking on my part. The thread got so quiet. How is everyone's little dolls doing?

 

My precious Sidney (Snowdrop) is nearly 16 now (she's been with me nearly a year, and her character was 15 to start), and has started to get a little rebellious... Came home this week to find she's dyed her hair black and developed a bit of an attitude!

(Loving her, though, with an eye colour change too!)

 

My Luna stole the outfit that was meant for her sister. Oh well.. I'll guess she'll have to wear something else!
