Successfully Own Only One?

I don't even have one yet and I am already wanting another...XD.

 

Haha. Yeahhh.

I bought my Souldoll Miryu April 29th...believed that would be my only doll. Today I did some more damage and bought a D.I.M Flowne. I am SO going to keep it at two for as long as possible...It's bad for my wallet.

 

Don't have my first one yet (well, just the head so far) and I expect it will stay at only one for quite some time, because it's hard to justify the amount of money unless I've accomplished something big to 'earn' it.

But I've a feeling it won't stay at just one, even if it's a few years to number 2.

 

I did have one for a while, my shiwoo. But then I bought another one and then another one. I have three dolls so far.

And I plan on getting seven more, though it will probably take me years to get them so I'm hoping that they are still be sold by the time I have enough.

Yeah, no XD I thought that I could get away with just my girl, but I thought she'd be extremely lonely without her boytoy, so I got him during the wait for her. And now I have a tiny, two floating heads, and a body coming in for one of them x.x

 

I only have one at the moment, mostly because space in my room is short, and I lack a real job.

So once I have a real job and move away from home, I'll have seven or eight! But i think I'll draw the line after I have all of my Rp characters as dollies.

 

ive only ordred one BJD (and im waiting for him ) and i really think he'll be the only one. but who knows, who knows... im really leaning to getting two so that he doesnt get lonely. but two would be my max. itd feel a little guilty about having so many worth over 500 each...>.>

 

Anyone else find it amusing that, according to her signature, the original poster now owns 4 dolls with plans for a 5th, only five short months after starting this thread?

Sooooo hard to just have one!

 

What I see is the original poster now has only 1 and still paying(or saving)for her 2nd and 3rd and maybe saving(or planning to save)for the 4th.I might be wrong but that is what I see from her siggy.But it is really hard to control having only one

Well this is a tricky question. Because when I got Shin, my Too, it was more of a purchase of opportunity than anything. Had I known about the Shiwoo and the Shushu before I'd bought Shin I probably wouldn't have Shin right now. I bought Shin because I had the meagre funds for him at the time. I love him to bits and I spoil him with outfits. Now, however, I have a Shushu on layaway that I will be paying off later today. I don't forsee my wanting another doll in the future but you really never know what will come up. I may not be getting another doll later on simply because most of the people around me who have seen Shin make horrible fun of him, my significant other included. There's only about 4 people who positively and actively support me in my hobby. Those other factors influence me to either want or not want another doll.

**shrugs** so it's like I said.. This is a tricky question.. At least for me..

 

for now I am succesfully owning one doll but I am pretty sure there will be more in the future, but for now my boy gets spoiled

 

Right now I only have one and I planned on only having one, since there was so much family drama with my just getting my MSD boy. Now that I have a job, I'm buying a MSD girl and my mother doesn't care as much...my father doesn't know yet. He'll find out when the girl arrives.

Had I not gotten a summer job, I wouldn't be getting a second. For me it's all a matter of expendable money.

 

For now I only have one bjd and she is still in pieces being that she was a kit. I feel so happy just to have her. With my other artist doll collection I thought one was all I wanted and I now have 45 of her dolls. Knowing myself I don't think I could stop with just one bjd.

 

I have only one. Since I have other hobbies, the cost, size, and caring for
a BJD limits me to one.

 

I'm waiting for my first girl, but I know I'm going to get another one.. But my max is four, because well, that's how big the family is that I created so that's probably all I get.. Although I will probably like other ones, I think that's too much for me already.. But I might get addicted anyways

 

I never planned on owning just one doll, but I knew it would take a long time for my little family to grow. I have two right now - one MSD and one SD-size. I also have a Black Catsy on order which is tiny and an animal, as well as a 15" Orientdoll Hong which is sized like an MSD but proportioned like a larger doll. They're each unique in terms of size, proportion, and look - so I suppose I could say I have only one doll - of each kind.

Yeah - I know - I'm pushing it.

 

I think it is. I am planning on getting one...at the Fanime Con which is like a week from now.

The main reason why I want a bjd is for anatomy, poses [especially perspective], and to test outfits I plan on making. But then again...I might want to get another....like a guy. But I think I will only have one. It is possible.
