Successfully Own Only One?

mwahaha, i feel the same way :p

 

uhm... i was about to tell you my whole life story.. but i decided not to... LEt's just skip to the part where i thought looking at pictures of other peoples dolls would have been nice... until i couldn't stand the helplessness of not having one.. ( one of my friends had so many) i didn't allow myself to touch hers because.. it was hers... I always loved dolls as a little girl, but these were dolls that i really wanted and felt that I could grow old and all the other old people in a retirement home couldn't say anything about them otherwise I'll make my dolls stare at them while they sleep...

 

If I had my way I'd own as many as I possibly could...however that's not the case with me.
I don't have a job, I'm home schooled, and right now I'm still waiting for my first doll to arrive.
But like I said I don't have a job...hence I have no money. The money I have right now is from my birthday and Christmas last year....I'm only getting my first doll now because my mother was nice enough to give me $600 out of the little money she got after my grandmother passed away. So right now until I can earn my own money I'm mooching off of my mother for accessories and clothing, etc. So I'll have to learn to live with only one....however it does not stop me from going to every website I can and dreaming.

I would like to have only the one as i plan on spoiling him like crazy - i havent the room for more as i have pullips too, but H Ducan will be an only child for quite a while. I havent even gotten him yet (hes on order ^-^) and already the new clothes and shoes are piling up awaiting his arrival.

but who knows maybe ill get him a friend in the future :-)

 

i do that to my sister it totally freaks her out - i have some little apple dolls and I sometimes leave one standing in the middle of the landing so she finds it when she come out of her room standing there........staring. Its so funny, shes freaks at me all the time over it.

Ok Ok. One boy and nine girls.

So...no. I genuinely thought I'd only have one when I got my first.
But it just didn't work like that. There's too many great dolls out there.

 

we'll be those kind of old people, terrorizing the others.

 

I just got my first doll and she's been with me for about a month and a half. I don't think I can get any more than her (but who knows, I may break down someday), but she's gonna be an only child for a very long time.

I realized that I don't want a doll collection, but other people to share dolls with. It's a great way to make friends - using the story of wanting your doll to make friends to meet other people. I mean, what's the use of getting a whole family of dolls? It only serves to make one kind of crazy, I think. I'm not dissing on people who do have a nice, big family of dolls, though. I just might be a little weirder than most.

 

I successfully own one and i would in the future like to get a 71 cm bjd boy but i will have to wait, but right now i am happy with own one bjd.

 

I only have one. Since I just got her in March I think I'll try to keep at that... at least for now. ^-^

 

I was so blown away by Doll In Mind's 'love' Lloyd, doll~
But once I got him, I found he didn't move as well/as much as I had hoped...
He could not hold his arms up/out. [Like playing as an air plane.]
He cant really sit very well. [Back arch problem. Leans back to much.]
As well as some other small simple things. [Foot cap makes his foot stick out strangely 0.o like a zombie...]

So even though I though he was my dream doll, and that I would have only him...
I came across 'Dream of Doll' doc, Twing-key, and 'new mature girl body.' I was so happy with the idea of a doll that could pose so well!
So I got her n.n

Only now, they need clothes <_< I think only commission will do. [for both.]

To tell the truth, I was just going to buy another doll. *shrug* one more 'normal sized' so it could fit clothes that I got from the net.
That's just me though.

I don't think its easy to stick to one thing. In the future you might think, your doll would look good with a counter-crush, and then maybe friends. Or you might want to photo story. It would get boring after a while if just one doll right~?

I haven't been succesfull. I thought I'd buy just one doll, but then my boy seemed so lonely, so I just HAD to buy him a girlfriend. :3 And now I'm saving for another dollie. But I guess I'll stop when I have three dollies. ^^;

 

And I'll only have one girl ... and three boys. I only wanted to have two boys, no girls at all, but somehow I ended up buying two more dolls - a boy and a girl.

The dolls are so sweet, how can one avoid buying them?

 

One word: PHAIL. Within the first month. =X I got my AF Xi, played happily with him for a few weeks, then decided he needed a non-human, resin companion. So now I have my DOT Lahoo, who sleeps in a box-bed directly beside my Xi's. ^^

...and now I'm eyeing another boy.

 

When my doll seemed out of my grasp, I definitely planned on "just one".

But now that I'll be able to order her soon, I find myself looking at dolls on my wishlist a lot differently, thinking "well she would make a nice sister", etc.

Don't know how it'll turn out in the end. ^_^;

 

I only have one, but I'm saving to buy lots more. x__x;

 

Well, i haven't gotten a hold of one, yet.
That is mainly because, well, i'm still saving. and i want to make sure i get exactly, or as close to, what i want...
im a person who gets bored easilly and i don't plan on spending so much money changing them every month!

When i do get the chance to buy one.
i'm planning to get a boy and a girl.

and i;m already thinking of their personality and such...
hopefully i wont get too carried away to give them too much personality and make them lovers or brother and need to buy more, =D
but i guess thinking like this helps!

 

I only have my boy right now But I'm planning on getting 3 more eventualy I want a girl cherry, one of the honey delfs... I really like Pita and I adore DOI Crush. when will I be able to affored all these dolls. maybe in like 5 years! Lol

but for now I'm happy with my one boy, but he gets lonely

 

I never had a chance!! Seriously, I got into this hobby knowing that I was going to have more than one. I didn't know how many at first, but now it's looking to be no more than nine...

I only have one SD girl atm. I have a boy on the way, and about three more SDs I know I want to get. I think this happened because I figured out what kind of story I want to go with them, and that requires a small group. I'm slowly making up personalities and backstories for them all as I go along. I already have a pretty good idea of what I want my next boy to be (he's like the highest priority right now!!).
