Successfully Own Only One?

I had only 1 doll for almost a year now. She is a sd size Peaks woods cue. I finally broke down and bought another one a month agoin the yosd size. I am now looking for my third doll in a msd size. For so long I thought I only wanted 1 doll. Then I came across a Bambicrony for sale and had to buy her. So I guess now I want 1 doll in each size, and maybe a boy. Does that count?

 

So far I have successfully owned only one doll, but I constantly think abotu buyign another. I even have three in mind! I also wonder how I would split the attenton between them. Though, I think having a an older boy doll as an older brother type for Naomi. Of not that, a female doll of the same age for a sister/friend. I don't beleive I will be successful in the future.

 

I ABSOLUTELY agree! XD I own ONLY a Homme Ducan (I named him Kiyoshi). He's my first (being that he is only about 2 weeks old)... and so, I admit that I'm pretty new to this ... but, after much thought and research on the different dolls, I'd rather spoil my Kiyoshi, since no other doll that appeals to me still ... and IF I were to get another one .. it's because I don't want Kiyoshi to be lonely and have no friend/partner. And so, if I were to get another one, unless some other model appeals to me, I don't think I will get another type of model. Definitely, if all else fails, I will stick with another H.Ducan. XD And ... Yes, I do favour Dream of Doll more ... especially the Ducans (Black Ducan, Elf Ducan, and Homme Ducan). So, I'm just as picky as you are, allmyvisions. And just like you, I prefer photoshoots over photostories, too. Especially because Kiyoshi is "model-licious" in photoshoots. XDDD He's SO ideal and all ... I die everytime! XD; lolz.

So, anyhow, I don't know if things will change in the future, whether I'll change my mind about this. But, as of now, I love Kiyoshi to death.

 

I've sucessfully bought my first BJD and I am now waiting for her to come home.
I own 1 BJD,and 1 only.But I don't know how long that will last.
I would rather have 1 or 2 dolls I could spoil and have loads of clothes,wigs,ect for,than have 3 or 4 dolls,maybe even more that knowing me,will go aorund the hose naked.
I personally,would also feel safer when travelling with just 1 or 2 BJDs(because knowing me,I'd try to find a way to take them all if I had more than 1 or 2.)
I think maybe the reason some people can't just stick with 1 BJD is that they fall in love with them so much that they just have to buy another,and I have nothing at all against people with more dolls.

 

Currently I only have Shou. I bought him this summer and am very happy with him. Still I want more. However with prices and being a poor college student with close to no income (even though I do work) owning more than one is going to be really hard. I hope perhaps once I am on my feet I can own more, but for now I am content with Shou. So for now, I am content with owning one doll and being able to get him things now and again. Perhaps someday I can own more.

 

I ordered my first two at the same time. I think it's truthful to say I utter failed this test. But originally, I swear, I had set out to only own one doll.

 

I haven't even bought my first doll, yet, and I'm already planning for future dollies! x3 I just can't help it; they're irresistible to me.

 

I had originally set out to own only one...But all that changed real real quick. Right now I have three, I'm getting another at a con at the end of the month and have a head on layaway..

 

Well, I haven't received my first one yet, and I don't know if she is going to be "it" or if I will get others. There are three more which I very much like - but we'll see how things go with my one - and take it from there.

 

I have succeeded!

I have a DOD DOC Kirill named Jasper. I am completely and utterly happy with my one little boy! I have no desire to get anymore, but just to spoil Jasper!!

 

I have only one. I've had her less than a month, but I only have one!

My sis is ordering one, so if there's a desire to have another, it's through family members.

 

I ONLY OWN ONE. I have successfully only had one doll for about four months now. After I bought him I was wanting another doll, b/c he looked soooo...lonely. But nahh...money is needed in my savings account, and my sister is buying one soon also. He won't we alone for long. If I fail at this...I'll repost. hehe..

 

All I currently own is a head... and my dolly wish list has grown to five full dolls. I'm even looking at a sixth and seventh someday! D:

I'm craaaaazy. But they're all just so... gorgeous. D: I saw the Bobobie Ariel Sprite and DZ Felian and got an entire story for them in my head! I have such an overactive imagination.

 

My prediction of having more than one doll has come true.

I will have my second doll next week!

 

I think with this subject, you have to just wait. You get your first doll, are totally in love, swear up and down you wont get anymore..... It might not happen the next week, it might not happen the next month, but if you spend any time looking at dolls, you will probably end up with more. I would say barring financial reasons, most people will end up with a second doll sometime within a year of getting the first. Unless of course you avoid DoA and meetups like the plague.

 

This is a pattern I noticed too.

I think I might have thought for a time that I would only have one too. Like everyone else, I liked the idea of just having one to spoil. Well, apparently it didn't take me long to prove myself wrong, because 3 weeks after ordering my first, I ordered my second, then a couple months later put my third on layaway. I hit the fail sauce hard. I am rolling in it. I am eating it for dinner!

 

I was just wondering if this was possible. If you do this then my hats off to you cause you have alot of willpower.

 

yes i will continue to have only one. because as it is now i dont know what to do with him. i might sell in the far off future and have none. but i definity dont want anymore. i love to look at all the different dolls but i wouldnt want them.

They're like chips - can't have just one!!! I have, just guessing here without taking time to really count, probably somewhere near 40!!! However, they are all different sizes. I keep my tinies here on the desk. I have 2 60cm and a 43cm and a 48cm on the fireplace next to me. The rest are all in the "guest room", standing around and planning their next shenanigans! LOL
