Successfully Own Only One?

I don´t have a doll yet... but i told some friends one doll is enough for me... but in my head i have a wishlist for 6 dolls ..half of them are much to expensive to buy ever xD

momentanlly i´m thinking about buying a DZ annie OR a AE Cherry... sometimes i think ahh well may i can get one and than the other one... xDD and then i´m thinking .. but i want a boy after my girl.. AND then i´m thinking but i also want a LTF ante ;_;
aaarg ONLY ONE XDDD !! ONE!!! OOOOOONE xD

 

When I got my first doll (DD Saber), I said I'd be satisfied with just her and didn't need any others.

As of today, I now have 33 (30 DDs, 1 SD, and 1 55cm Obitsu). So no, I didn't succeed.

 

I was satisfied having one doll for the first year or two, but as soon as I impulsively bought a second doll it kind of opened the floodgates. Since then I bought and sold several dolls and there are a ton more I want

 

I think that's what happened to me. I was happy with one, but I fell in love with a sculpt on the marketplace and bought her. Now, I'm already saving up for number three! Not to mention I have two dolls with my girlfriend in another state. And my exposure to them didn't help either 8(

 

I felt that way initially, I told myself I only needed one to be satisfied, but I changed my mind after I started searching more thoroughly for my first one. There are too many to choose from for me to pick just one. It took me months to decide on the one I wanted. I also really like the idea of having a family of dolls(I want a boyfriend and a sister for the one I'm getting now).

I plan to buy one each year so I don't end up spending too frivolously.

 

I think last year I have posted here that I was happy just having Shinta. But the bug started to itch again and my friend also wanted to order, so we arranged an order together. Now Shinta has the love of his dreams.

Right now, I'm waiting for a third. When I get inspired, I start making plans. If it involves a doll, so be it

 

I wish I could have more than one, but I don't even know how well I can afford ONE. I can only possibly get am Isabella by BBB because they're like, 100$ and I think I can save that much, maybe.... I don't exactly come into money very much. ^^; I have all the same clothes, mostly, that I did two years ago, and am only in the near future going to finally be able to get some more. I grew up on welfare, so yeah... I'll probably have one, and then when I get a job, if I get one before I graduate, am going to spend EVERYTHING on dolls because I have no life XD Lol well, not all of it; I have to save money for college. :3

EDIT: Lol well, I'm now saving up for my first doll still (Got sidetracked by some ADORABLE of topic obitsus) but it's.... 290$. O________o Never spent that much on one thing in my LIFE. Lol. But yeah... If I ever have another chance like that again... I'll take it XD

 

I've had 1 doll for a few years now. Sorry, but the next one is coming shortly AND I have my eye on a third ;p

Well I'm getting my frist doll soon, and at the moment 1 is enough. But I'm guessign in a year or so I'll want another.

I don't really want loads of them though, I don't think I'd want more than a few.

 

I think "the only one doll for me" thing and failing it's what happens to most of the BJD owners, I don't know why xD. Since the beginning I said I wanted around 4/5 dolls, and after 4 years, I'm the happy owner of 3, soon 4 dolls, so I don't worry about these things too much. But I have to say that the year I spent being a unique doll owner, I was as happy as I am now. It's just a caprice.

 

I was about to congratulate your resolve (or ask which genie granted you the will power of Gandalf) when I saw your edit and nearly died laughing!! Good luck with that lottery win, you'll need it because dolls grab you when you least expect it, I was so sure of never being "SOOMED" that I was cocky about it, then they released NS Beryl, their fairy dolls and I saw a picture of Tan Chalco...I'm on the brink of selling my soul! hahaha!! XD

I kinda wish I could be satisified with just one special doll, would be a lot cheaper and easier to be buying clothes for just the one! But even if I can think of a few of my dolls I could sell, there are always those that I couldn't send away unless my life depended upon it xD

 

I planned to only buy one, but then I decided she needed a boyfriend, so I got another. I hope to leave it at that, but we'll have to wait and see!

 

i have one! and in the first year that i've had him was like "yep with him is enouht" but then.. i wanted alot...
and now im trying to safe money for a SD cuz i really wana one .. (lance crobidoll) and im want like 5 molds more!!

Oh yes "I'll just get the one - she'll be so special."

Later on: still just one... of every size.

Soon: a second SD size - "My first needs a girlfriend."

I never figured I'd be content with just one ^.^ unfortunately, my second boy didn't work out how I wanted him to and got sold, so I'm back to just one. But I was eyeing Iplehouse Asa, and there are a few Iplehouse boys I want...

And then Soom had to go and release the teasers for their new monthly -.- I don't know if I'll be able to afford him, but if he lives up to expectation I'm going to try. Friggin' Soom. -.-

 

I do not plan to have only one doll. In December, I'm going to start saving up for another doll.

 

I was satisfied with one doll for a while.....but....I'm afraid I'm a junkie now XD...I want more

 

Successfully? Not at all. I wanted one and only at the start, a kind of BJD version of myself, but as soon as I changed my mind about the character she would be I knew I would end up owning several. Up-to-date I have a dozen of BJD. If any new member joins to the (One Piece manga and anime series) crew most of them come from my BJD group is already complete since December of last year. For sure they are many more than the only one I firstly thought.
