Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I really did plan on owning just one.
      And then a month later I decided to ask for an ABIO Angel for Christmas, and thought I'd leave it at that.
      Then in December I was thinking about buying a tiny, and when I saw Spencer I really, really wanted him.
      Then my girlfriend gave me a present ($$!), and I decided to get another ABIO Angel. I said after that that I only wanted 4, and no more.
      But now I'm thinking about getting another one.

      Gah, what a terrible addiction I have! D:

    2. I know I've seen many doll discussions on people always only wanting that 'one' doll, and they end up with more than one. And many people who I don't know and do know are saving up for their next doll, or are planning for the next one on their "list."

      I have a question: Does anyone have only that 'one' doll they wanted,like me, and feel perfectly satisfied with them? And don't plan a doll in the immediate future or the future at all?

      Or am I just wierd >___> ;;;???

    3. Hello! I'm new to the board, and I do have 'the' one and the only one. I had always admired the bjds, but I didn't want to have similar dolls. I have Barbies, a Jenny, a Pullip and a Tonner doll, with some Kellies mixed in the group. As I look at much play time I've had with my girls, now I'm kinda regretting having more Kellies than I intended to have. You're not weird, just loyal to your one and only, so to speak. I picked my Orientdoll So Ui one day when I wasn't planning on adopting anyone else and decided she would be my perfect companion. At one point, I was thinking of the Lati Yellows and a Naripon, but now I've reconsidered, especially since I realized that with my one doll and all her wigs, it's like I have several dolls.

    6. :lol: I presently own just one doll, and will probably probably not acquire any other in quite some time... mainly for lack od money!:sweat However, I feel perfectly fine, as we are totally in love with each other! We're honeymooners, and our honeymoon is here to stay!

      So... I don't feel that not planning a bunch of dolls in the immediate future makes you in any way weirder than anybody here! ;)

    7. i managed to successfully own just one.... but that was waaaaay long time ago like last year...then... you get the itch... and you realize woah they raised my credit limit and then you're like oh it won't kill me to get one more.... so you get it... then you see one you like and MUST have so you get him... its like crack.... and then you end up with like 9.... :doh... and then you get the credit card bill and cry... because all that money you work for just goes right back into paying it off... but... i mean... if a Yukinojo were to some how fly in front of me i'd gladly trade all my boys for him... (cept my saint and my fcs) :sigh

    8. I originally wanted two, and only two, a FCS SD13 and a FCS MSD(which I haven`t ordered yet)

      But then I wanted a Yo-SD after seeing my friend`s Yo-Tenshi Yuu. And then a puki after I saw it`s tinyness.

      I see other`s BJD`s and get a lusting sometimes and hit the Buy button before second thought. So no, I can`t own just one. :X

    9. I started out thinking "one" would be it. And I was amazed that so many people had more then one--whatever for?:?

      Two years later I am up to 7 minis. Because it is a "hobby", it is going to grow and change. My first three dolls I sold, because my tastes had changed. As I gained more knowledge,--- opinions, likes/dislikes, and recommendations influenced my future choices.

      Why more then one? It is fun to research, order, wait, and buy for a new doll.:aheartbea It is a critical part of the hobby. Otherwise two years later my first bjd would have an incredible wardrobe but be very lonely, and I would be bored. *_*

    15. It's hard for me to imagine myself having just one, for always. I expect I'll end up with five or thereabouts... >.>; Unfortunately, that relatively wallet-friendly number does not include the various tinies and MSD-size dolls I'm eyeing as well.

      Ah well, it's all a part of the hobby and I'm fine with it. ^-^

    16. I got one, but Volks puts pure heroin in their pureskin resin or something, so I'm planning 4 more (FCS for two, maybe three of them).

      I keep rationalizing that she needs friends, but I didn't think it'd happen so fast.

      I planned on only having one. I mean at first I thought it would be easy to not give into the thought of getting another doll.
      I'm currently saving for another.

      I just feel like he's just so lonely by himself you know? Maybe that's why it's hard to keep one. He just looks so lonely on my bed by himself.

    18. Before I got into the BJD hobby, I started with the vinyl fashion dolls.

      Then a friend introduced me to making customized dollfies from Volks, then that's how I saw the resin people.

      To cut a long story short, I actually was very good at keeping my BJD collection contained to its current body count of 4. I did not intend to have just ONE BJD. My plan on spreading out the time frame between doll acquisitions is good because it helps me keep money to spend on myself as well as money to spend for additional doll accessories.

      My intention is to have one from each of my fave companies: Doll In Mind, Volks (actually there's 2 from them), Dollshe, Lati Doll, and Alchemic Labo.

      Iplehouse is very good in tempting me to get one of their dolls--but I'm holding back. :lol:

    19. Not at all, not in the least bit. I started with one and got another before even meeting the first. And my addiction grew steadily worse from two.
      I saw a very pretty head on Y!J...and when he got a body, that made three.
      Dolpa 18 happened and I rationalized that I *needed* a girl, never mind the fourth bit.
      Then...well, I bought a DZ fox and a Minimee head...and a Madoka head (+UV Protect!)..and now wait on yet another Tokyo boy.

      Woe is me and this hobby. I can't ever own just one.

    20. At first, I had only the intention of buying the one I had fallen for and been obsessing over for weeks XD
      Then, of course, I saw another mold, and an entire story line *poofed* into my head and I thought they would make a great couple - so now I'm up to two XD
      Now I want a boy as well! I really think that my buying is going to end at three - two girls and a boy just seems a perfect fit for me ^^
