Super Senior Delf Cane and Flood discussion

oh, what a goooorgeous body, hmm, something about his arms and his muscles looks wrong to me...too thin compared to the rest of the body? Awesome posability though.

 

Funny, excepting the neck, my first thought was how it wasn't a scrawny body, so I went and confirmed my suspicions at Dollmore.

SSDF / Model Doll
Girth of chest : 31cm / 26.8cm
Girth of waist : 23.5cm / 20cm
Girth of hips : 28.5cm / 25cm
Girth of neck : 10.5cm / 11.5cm O_o

So the SSDF is a bit pencilnecked, but I still want one. At least the body.

Maybe it's the arms that make the body looks a bit scrawny, the arms look thin to me..
In addition, the SSDF has the largest feet (9.5cm)! even bigger than soom mecha angel's (8.3cm)...which means the SSDF can stand quite stably?
but oh my...where can I get shoes and socks for a pair of 9.5cm feet...TT

 

i'm undecided about both the event head and the SSDF body. i've been wanting a buff 70cm body for a long time, but this one somehow seems...lacking. it's a tad too scrawny for my liking. i would have gone totally ape over a 70cm sized-up version of the SDF body... *drools*

the head...something is putting me off about it. from some angles, i like him, but from others, i don't. D:

 

I think the arms look too scrawny... The rest is fabulous until I saw!!!!!

Oh! Oh! You too? I'm wanting to get my Ryu head this body, but have you heard whether the resin matches or not? I know Migi looks okay with Delf resin, but that isn't the same as SDF real skin resin. *scratches head*

 

I like the fact that the SSDF body ships in a Luts Box for Honey Delf with two blankets.

This body really is a cross between Dollshe and SD17. Pretty much what I was hoping for, but I think that skinny neck is going to be a problem for hybrids.

 

I'm kindof excited about the skinny neck. At 10.5cm, I believe it's the exact size for a Migidoll Ryu head, which is what I want it for. Let's just hope I get lucky and the resins don't look wretched together. If the resin isn't too bad, I would be willing to do some blushing for that body!

 

Hmm...is it just me or is the '08 MAN event head FLOOD with a different face-up? Am I wrong?

The Photoshopping in some of these recent images is criminal. DX In a few their faces just look like glowing white blobs. It's tough to get a sense of any of the defintion, such as the nose.

That smooth-yet-clumpy, almost greasy look of the hair is the result of being run through a noise-removing filter like Median way too many times. And I ask: why? Those procedures are usually done on humans to reduce the appearance of pores, but dolls already have perfect 'skin,' so all the airbrushing just makes them look blobby. Furthermore, they seem to be going for a dark and mysterious look with that eye makeup, but then they go ahead and whiten+brighten the eyes so much it looks scary. Nice dolls, awful product images. D:

Also: Super Senior Cane? XDDDD I died. I want a faceup with liver spots! D:

Hmm. I'm not massively keen on the body ... the picture where his back is popping out kinda freaked me out a bit! Is that what they mean by a three-piece torso? I don't think I've seen one before. Or at least, not seen one like that before! Do they all do that? O_o;

 

Bad 'shop-job aside... I think my bank account is 100% safe from these guys.

I've been staring at it for a very long time trying to figure out what it was that was keeping me from saying "I NEED TO HAVE IT!!!" and I finally realize what it is.

I just really don't like Flood....? LOL

To prove my theory... I'm going to shop some random heads onto the body and see if I like it or not... ((already working on migidoll ryu~3))


On a side note I totally agree that Luts is just going way too photoshop happy... I can never tell what any of their dolls look like and have to wait for owner pics all the time before I decide that I really truly like one of their new sculpts lol. The senior delfs are especially bad though... I mean... I can for the most part tell what Jess looks like but Frey and now '08, Cane, and Flood... I can barely tell what they even look like.

Mmm yeah. I'm actually digging Cane more now too. He's got that seme or well romance hero vibe, lol. I think cause Flood's head looks so young and the body looks so mature. Cane's more masculine face fits well with the body. Also it looks like Luts only painted his lower lip there. O.o at first his lips were scaring me, but I can tell in some pics he does have an upper lip, lol.

I figure Luts will be selling clothes for them as well. XD

What makes no sense to me is they are giving away a free head, but not selling the bodies. So I guess people are stuck with a floaty head, hm unless it fits the SDF bodies too.

Edit: I have to agree with what some others are saying about the over-photoshopped pics. AND the faceups. Ugh.

 

OMG. 70.5cm. Luts, you ARE listening to us ;___^!! <--- *so happy i couldn't describe!* and the fact that they made the lower torso cut of the body as low as it could possibly be (for those low-waist pants! haha)...

though the Luts lighting is making all the definition of the body really scary -___-, but omg IT'S PERFECT. so PERFECT for my Abadon's character! the height and the body definition... omg....

but can anyone confirm what is the "girth of neck" of a SDF? because SSDF claims to be 10.5cm --- i wonder if a SDF Abadon's head would fit???

(i'm so torn between just waiting for the body's release or just get Flood! because i find Flood really beautiful --- I'd actually switch Flood's head to the SDF body and Abadon's head to the SSDF's body hahaha)
