1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Taking the kids on an outing

Mar 27, 2014

    1. I've taken Shiloh to pick up my girlfriend from college. He has his own seat in the car (jokingly). I didn't bring him inside but he came along for the ride. I had to show off his new outfit.

    2. My work colleagues are interested since I get doll-related parcels all the time, so when my two SD girls are completed I plan on taking them in to work.

    3. I enjoy taking a doll out with me. I don't do it that often if it's not to a meet or to the park for photos but when I do it's always interesting to see peoples reactions. A couple of weeks ago I took Julian (all 70cm of him) with me to a sci fi and anime convention. I did not take him in a bag I was carrying him out all day. On the way we had lunch at Mc Donalds which was pretty funny. The guy at the register tried to look anywhere but at Julian. I think he figured it was better to pretend he didn't exist. Some customers stared while others ignored us. When I was just finishing one of the starers came up and asked about him. Once that happened others started talking to me also. I now know a great way to get strangers to chat in maccas:) At the convention there was also a mixed reaction. I think I was the only one walking around with a large bjd. As a lot of the crowd were young though and cosplayers etc.. I think we were more accepted. I was more concerned with holding tight onto Julian as there were thousands of people and it was very crowded.
I have also taken photos in the city before and that gets a few funny looks and then others come up to ask questions and some even get their cameras out and join in:)

    4. When my doll comes, I like to think I would take my doll out but I'm not sure if I will have the courage too. I know whenever I go to meets I will take him with me but he comes with a portable bag so I will most likely keep him in there. On the other hand, when I go to anime conventions, I will most likely carry him around in my arms though. :P

    5. I've taken my dolls out before. I had first taken my dolls to an anime convention a few years ago and brought three (two MSDs and one YOSD). My sister brought her SD girl. All the people that came up to us were so very nice and even a few knew what they where and said they would have loved to own one. I only had one SD at the time and I was not willing to haul him around. We also took quite a few of our dolls to another convention (our latest one we went to) and the reactions were about the same, lots of people liked them. Now my sister, friend, and I will be holding a BJD panel there later this year now that we're confident enough. This coming weekend all three of us will be going to a place called Sauders and I will be bringing my first SD girl with me, a Feeple60 Chloe...I will be the only one in the group with an SD lol. We'll see how this trip goes.
I also have taken a minifee with me to the dentists office before. She stayed in her bag and was only with me for moral support (I hate them poking around in my mouth) and only came out in the car to and from the dentists.

(Here is a picture of the first time my sister and I brought our dolls into public. All the dolls are mine except the sleepy eyed SD, that's sisters.)
