However, thanks to hurricane Sandy, my package was stranded in Shanghai until the 6[SUP]th[/SUP]; my mailwoman dropped it off here this afternoon.

      They look to be. My boy has yet to arrive, so I will have to hold my breath until I can actually put the clothes on.

      Eh... not very good. I think it's primarily a language issue. I have an older-ish Iplehouse YID, and they were kind of known for narrow hips and long skinny legs... so I forwarded the measurements ((which are close enough to SD13)) and asked if a certain pair of pants would fit... they responded with "sorry we do not have this size clothes" .... which kind of didn't really answer my question.

      I took a gamble and order the pants anyway :P

      But if you look at the Q&A board, you'll see a lot of instances of miscommunication

      They did respond the very next day, how ever. Just keep your vocabulary nice, quick, simple and clear!

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Navigating through the website can be a little tricky. It took me a while to figure out how they want customers to fill in their mailing info... turns out you need to put in your ENTIRE address into the "Address" slot... and keep the ZIP CODE/POSTAL CODE slot empty
      But once you get past that point, it's Paypal to the rescue!
      You will most likely have some sort of an "Error" message pop up. Wait a day or two to see if it clears.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      Absolutely! The clothes were very well made and well packaged... and the fabric they used for the items I ordered work well in SD scale... I'm actually surprised that they don't price these a little higher.
      ...and it also turns out that the pair of pants I took a chance and ordered anyway fit my YID Ryushin ^^

      They also sent me extra Silicone Kips... and they sent me a free bonus cigarette prop >.> ... hehe

      But, the pair of glasses that I purchased was a little flimsy and warped. I may have just ended up with a dud... but with a bit of careful fussing, I can make them work.

      I did find the shipping to be a wee bit high, though... so you might want to consider making a large/group order with them.
      They also charge poundage... but again, it stings a little less with a larger order :sweat

      Pretty darn close... maybe even a little better!

      I placed my order right at the start of their holiday but they confirmed my order the next day and sent me an e-mail with the tracking number when it shipped. And because of the holiday, they didn't respond to my Q and A for a few days.

      Easy using Paypal. I didn't have any problems putting my information in like some have had.. although, after paying I did get the infamous paypal error. I left a Q and A message to ask if they received the payment and they did. So, I guess it's just a glitch not to worry too much about.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      Yep! Everything is very nicely made, no loose threads/seams/etc. I'm surprised it's not more expensive but I guess the shipping makes up for that... (Their 'cheap' shipping is really First Class so it takes much longer than EMS e_e)

      Yes.

From the tracking information that I was given it appears the items have been sent to a completely wrong location. They were sent to the US. Whilst I live in Australia :| I checked my shipping details to ensure it wasn't my error and it appears I have entered my details in correctly. I just don't understand how there could be such a large error in postage.

      Good, though slow. By the time they emailed my tracking number, my order had already been in transit for several days. That's not an issue, though. They likely deal with a large amount of orders, and I can't fault them for being busy.

      Easy, Paypal. Though as other people have stated, I too got the "payment failed" message. I was expecting it and already knew it was just a glitch, as my payment went through just fine.

      * How long did it take to ship?

      Shipped 6/22 and arrived 6/27. I used the ePacket shipping option ($10), and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order arrived!

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes! I'm quite pleased with the items. :) They even sent a little cigarette prop as a free gift. Nice!

      The belt for the Shinsengumi uniform was missing. However, I received 2 gifts with my order: an SD size clipboard and goggles.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      They responded to my issue on the Q&A board in a few days and sent me the missing belt. I received it on 8/28/2013 along with a small gift (a small magic eraser).

      Yes, I am very happy with the items I ordered, and I am satisfied with how they responded to my issue and took care of the problem.

      * How was the communication? Terrible. My tracking showed my order shipped on December 20, but after two weeks with no change in the tracking, I posted on the Q&A to make sure everything was ok. I got no response. I sent an email, and again got no response. Eventually I filed a paypal dispute because I was afraid the package was lost and I only had a few days left before the dispute option expired, and all I wanted was a response from the seller. (Also Tata's had gone on vacation.) Even with the dispute there was still no reply from Tata's. My tracking finally updated after 27 days with no change, when it arrived in the US in Chicago. Only after that happened did Tata bother to respond to me (and in terrible text-speak, which is unprofessional and doesn't help with the language barrier). Their excuse was to blame Chicago for the delay, when it was obvious by the tracking that my package spent less than 24 hours in Chicago, and nearly a month in limbo in Tata's office/China. The response also told me to use EMS next time, and not the "treasure" shipping which said plainly on the website had an average of seven shipping days. There's not going to be a next time, because I won't order from a company that won't answer simple questions unless you submit a dispute. I understand it's a busy time, but it's the responsibility of a business to plan for that. If they had just bothered to dash off a quick line before I had to open a dispute it would have helped.

      * How easy was it to pay? Easy.

      * How long did it take to ship? Six weeks.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Quality varied, but was mostly average to below average. The lucky bag was generous, but there are a lot of obvious flubs in the sewing and short-cuts (things like belts and belt loops are just raw strips of pleather, and the materials all feel cheap.) Also, the fur wig was matted and nasty-looking, made of cheap fur, sized way too large for even my melon-headed SD-13 boy, and didn't even have the bottom edge hemmed.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Sometimes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? It's all right, but not worth the trouble it caused.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They didn't.

      * Would you order from this company again? Never.

      * How was the communication? Awful! I never received a tracking number until a day after the package arrived. The package itself was the wrong order and I sent to messages to the Q&A and one to TATA's e-mail... NO RESPONSE for over a WEEK! Total I sent 4 messages before finally getting a reply. TATA explained that she was preparing for a wedding and honeymoon and asked me to take pictures of the items which I did that night. Four days later I finally got a response which confirmed the mistake. But then she asked me to send the package to the right customer in Chicago and she would reimburse me for the shipping later. She never made any offer to me such as a partial refund or anything, I was shocked that this was her solution. 8 e-mail exchanges later, on top of the 4 already sent to her, and still nothing has happened. UPDATE: Me and the other customer who got my package decided to just work with each other to exchange the packages. But Tata did not cover the extra shipping cost.

      * How easy was it to pay? Easy of course. It did say failed but the payment did go through.

      * How long did it take to ship? less than a month but it was a wrong package.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The hat and pants did not fit so I'm going to have to alter them. The hat just looks funny, but the pants look nice, still don't fit tho :(

      * How long did it take to ship? 12 days before the order shipping out, DHL arrived a day later at my house (Europe) so once shipped it was very fast. The box was super distorted though, like as if someone sat on it - luckily nothing broke.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, cheap things can look cheap but that's just fine. Example: When closing the leather jacket the backs of the studs become visible and they look terrible, all bend and squeezed and out of shape. When you want to prop up the collars of the jackets, you see there is simple black fabric on the back instead of the same 'leather' the jacket is made of, so that might look weird. The pockets on my things were just for show, not usable too.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Sort of, some things look just nicer in well-done photos.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, one item was missing from my order though...

      How was the communication? There wasn't really any. I got the payment failed, waited about 36 hours (which seems to be what they reply with all the time), got my payment confirmation before those 36 were up. The only thing that annoyed me is that I got my tracking number about 28 hours after my package had first attempted to be delivered. I got a notice in the mail that I had a package at the post office, picked it up first thing in the morning that day and about noon I got my tracking number. -_-
      How easy was it to pay? Easy, I waited on the payment failed and it went through without an issue
      How long did it take to ship? Hard to tell exactly because I never got the tracking number until the very end, but the whole thing only took 10 days start to finish

      About 5 weeks, due to some kind of shipping error in China. The parcel was never shipped from the sorting office and was returned to Tata's with no explanation. The second time they sent it to me it took about 4 days.

      Yes. The jacket has working pockets and the shirt buttons are to scale. The shirt buttons are backed by poppers though, which means you can't really leave any undone, because it looks weird. But Ok for the price and nicely made.

      Yes. Although the jacket was longer and not the same style as I thought, still like it though.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      Yes.

      No problem with the product, only with non-delivery.
      After waiting 4 weeks for delivery with EMS I emailed to ask about it. They told me the parcel was returned to them by Chinese postal service with no explanation given so they would send it again. I didn't discover when it was returned to Tata's or when they were planning to send it again if I hadn't asked.

      Probably not. The items were good, but the shipping was much more than from anywhere else where I can buy similar items. I wasn't very happy about having to pay as much in shipping fees as the cost of a few small items. I'm even less happy about it after the shipping mess. If there was an airmail option I probably might though.

      Probably not. I prefer to buy new.

      I bought a pair of NO:SHO140 boots in Gray. The color is powder blue, not silver-gray as in the last two photos. The first few photos are closer to actuality. Instead of white, the stitching on the suede came in gray. It looks nice this way in person!

      Yes, the craftsmanship is very good

      I would, though keeping an open mind about colors and exactness of the photos.
