Tattoos: just you, just your dolls, or both?

I am fairly heavily tattooed but my doll (I only have one at the moment) doesn't have any and I don't plan to put any on her.
That could change in the future and if I get any future dolls they may have tattoos. I just don't see it as being part of my current dolls character at this point.

That being said, I absolutely love tattooed dolls! They look really cool.
I also (obviously) love tattoos.

 

wow I never thought of getting the same tattoos as the dolls! I've always liked tattooed dolls but I haven't get one on my girl. Maybe I will try doing it one day.

 

Back in 2010 when I first did this poll, my answer was that I was tattooed but my dolls were not. That has since changed - woohoo!! - and I now have my first tattooed boy! *cuddles her RD Kirin* Kirin has a tattoo (not altogether surprisingly) of a Kirin on his chest that wraps around to his back. My own is much smaller - a simple koi on my ankle. I'd love to get another tat, however! ^o^

 

Actually I'm planning some tattoos for myself but my dolls won't get a tattoo ever.
I would be too afraid, that the tattoo wouldn't come out as planned, as I am not the biggest artist on earth and would 'ruin' my wonderful doll.
In addition my dolls aren't just the characters so get tattooed, so no modifications for them but for their mommey

 

I love tattoos on any kind of "canvas". I have five at the moment but my plans are to cover up my left arm. None of my current dolls have a tattoo, however I wish to get a couple of tattooed guys soon. Maybe I'll try to do it by myself, we'll see.

 

Only one of my dolls has tatoos. I don't and maybe never will. I did want one for a long time tho... still sometimws think of it.

 

im planning on getting a tattoo but I dont think I'd get a tattoo after any of my BJDs. One doll so far is supposed to have them, but some of my characters have tats as well.

 

Just the dolls. I don't want to mark my body in any permanent way more than a piercing or two. I find tattoos interesting, though. It's fascinating to see what people choose to make part of themselves and their physical image, and how much that tends to tell you about them.

The dolls, on the other hand, are nicely erasable, so I can put all sorts of interesting "ink" on them! I like to use temporary stick on tattoos, but I've done a few freehanded ones in watercolor too.

 

I have a specific doll whos character had tattoos that are basically the ones I wanted for myself. He sort of became the beta boy for the placement, size and shape. Now they have become a large part of his character. He has a few that I dont want, but the other two I will defiantly be getting. He has a few I would never get though and I am getting a few he never will. XD

 

I have ink, & love all of them, but my dolls are all MSD sized, & too young to have a tattoo.

However there is one girl that I would not put it past to try & get one.. or just add on a rub on. My little trouble maker

 

I wish I could get tattoos, but I have health problems that make it a bad idea. So my dolls have to be my vehicle for living vicariously.

 

I am tattoo'd, one day il have lots.. but I dont think il tattoo my PKF, shes a child... okay mabey someday ;P

 

I don't have any tattoo's (yet) but all of my boy's have one. Except for Iz, since he's a kid.
I would not get any of the tattoo's that are on my boy's though. They are fitting for their characters.

 

I have tattoos, but my dolls do not. It doesn't fit their personalities, not to mention most of them are children haha! Maybe in the future.. but I doubt it.

 

Don't and won't. I'm terrified of needles, to the point my doctors office just expects me to pass out when I get blood drawn for anything. As for dolls, I'd be scared of staining/doing it wrong and not being able to fix it. And I'm lazy and wouldn't want to change it if my tastes changed. It's lame, I know, but I would rather just let them be. I've seen pics of doll tattoos that I really liked though, so I do have respect for those who do have them.

 

I have a ton of tattoos and am just getting the guts to tattoo my doll.

 

I have got Tattoos but none of my resins have yet. I will probably get it done sometime but I don't consider myself good enough to try and I don't like the idea of sending them anywhere to have it done.

 

Both of my dolls have tattoos, I am not brave enough to get one yet, but my girl has the tattoo I want on her back (Om symbol), and I want it in the same exact place.

 

I have a bunch of tattoos and piercings as well. However, it had never occurred to me that my doll should get some. Mostly I've been wanting a body blushing for her but now once that's done....

 

I dont have any tattoos myself (just a few piercings) but my dolls have plenty of tattoos and piercings... it's funny!!!
