Tattoos: just you, just your dolls, or both?

I have loads of tattoos! At the moment I just have one doll, but more planned. I don't have plans for any of them to have tattoos, but undoubtedly it will happen.

 

I only have one tattoo by now (but planning some more in a near future), and some of my dolls have tatoos too.

Not all of them, but only the ones I think would match with their personalities or their stories.

 

I plan on getting several tattoos in the future, and some of my girls will undoubtedly have them, as well ^^

In fact, intending to go get a few new tattoos for myself in the next month or so.

 

I have a lot of tattoos and never thought to give one to my dolls. Maybe because its such a design process for myself and getting them done on myself I dread to think what I would be like doing them on my dolls! I do love well done tattoos on dolls though. Maybe I should give it a go? I think the tattoos I have and like are very intricate and so cant imagine that working out on a doll.

 

All my extra money is going to dolls, so no money for tattoos for me. I can't really think of what I'd want to have tattooed on me, anyway.

I'm not opposed to tattoos, though, but so far none of my dolls have any and I don't have plans for any. I'm not sure why, exactly. Maybe some of the same reasons why I don't have any... seems so permanent, and don't have any good ideas for tattoos and can't really be bothered...!

 

I have five tattoos so far, with plans for many many many more. Currently I only have one doll, and he does not have tattoos...yet. I might just have to tattoo my next doll though, I think he'd be the kind to get something, but in a place you don't normally get to see...I will definitely have to think about that...

 

I have quite a few tattoos including the better part of a sleeve that would be finished of my dolls didn't eat up so much of my money. Lets just say before dolls ink was my expensive hobby and I probably have more money on my skin than in resin at this point. So far none of my dolls have tattoos but I have a few boys who should have tattoos, their characters do have ink. I just haven't gotten around to putting the tattoos on them yet.

 

I'm planning on a few tattoos for myself but still don't know about my doll. There's a part of me that wants to just give a quick tattoo but then they'd be covered up most of the time and with the rubbing off thing; I wish there was a more permanent faceup so to speak.

 

Hey all thought Id jump onto this thread too. I currently have 11 tattoos, I think, and im working on becoming a tattoo artist (Self teaching myself) But yea, I only have 1 doll at home at the moment whos based on one of my original characters, who has tats himself. So im hoping to get some tats on my boy soon! (Ive only had him a few short months atm)
But i really enjoy seeing dolls with tattoos! I think people should show some pics too!

 

I have a tatoo, but no plans for more. I plan on giving my Shushu one eventually. Maybe more as her look "evolves" or develops.

 

I think that all my BJDs will get tatoos, beaucause somehow I won't cover my body with it xD And that's a kind of accomplishment of their personality. I will get tatoos, but not as big as what I want for my dolls. And maybe I can try on them, see how it looks like and then try on me x)
But yes, both My dolls and I will get tatoos.

 

I love some ink on skin.
So it makes sense that most (but not all) of my dolls and I have tattoos, and have plans for more. To me tattoos tell a stories, so all my dolls' tattoos have story behind them too. Its like writing your life story over your skinn.
As the side note, I love piercings too.

 

I have one small tattoo. I'd like to get it removed, and don't have plans for anymore. None of my dolls will have tattoos.

 

My option isn't there: I have tattoos but my dolls don't have any YET.
I just need to figure out what I want for them.
(as with humans, this needs to be thought over)

 

This pretty much describes me too! Tattoos are a big part of my identity, but my dolls all have their own identities and sort of live in their own little world... It is something I have thought about but it just doesn't mesh with the aesthetic I'm going for with my dolls, if that makes any sense Interesting topic btw

 

I have tattoo's, because I love inked skin (if it's well-done art and if it's a motive that suits the person). But my dolls have no tattoo's and I don't see it happen that any of them will ever get one.

 

I'd love it for my dolls to have tattoos, but it'll take time to decide, time to send off the body to blush, and I am one lazy person!

At the most, I'd use my SD to test out potential designs

 

I have voted "I have/will have tattoos and so do my dolls", but the BJD from my resin crew, of twelve BJD, which has a tattoo does not have it because I have one and I do not have mine because of hers. She has a tattoo on her left shoulder because the (One Piece manga and anime series) already given character she is has it. Curiously, the tattoo I have, since years before I knew about BJD, is also on my left shoulder. Just a kind of lovely coincidence. The type of her tattoo (Kind of a draw) and the one of mine (Kind of a picture) are really different in fact, but it makes it even more funny to have something like this in common and in the same place when I think she was my first BJD.
