Tattoos: just you, just your dolls, or both?

I was just thinking about this the other day! I love seeing all the awesome tattoos that people put on their dolls.... but I don't really plan to 'tattoo' mine (ok, the Rouge doll that I'm waiting on has one, but I almost decided to not have them add it).

I, however, am tattooed like a f'nn sailor. I honestly don't know how many I have.

 

A tattoo would look good on the doll, so yeah, I don't have one though.

I currently don't have any tattoos; but I am planning on getting one. And as long as the tattoo is well done, and fits the character I wouldn't mind having a doll that had one.

 

I have ALOT of tattoos myself but my dolls don't, its not that I'm opposed to it but I haven't really explored the idea. I do know I would need a really good artist to do them though b/c I know I cannot do them myself! Also I have a theme to my tats that I dint feel feet with the stories behind my dolls so they would deff be different from mine ^_^

 

I will never ever get a tattoo. When I was in highschool a Spanish teacher of mine had a tattoo of a panther on his forearm that he'd gotten when he was twenty... He was sixty when he taught my class, and he had to tell us it was a panther. His tattoo looked like a fuzzy teddy bear that had been run over with a truck! A good friend of mine also has a circular celtic knot tattoo that, when she gained twenty pounds, became an oval. Between these two things and the fact that my own family bloodline is rather inclined to gain in girth with age, I just don't think a tattoo would look very good on me after a few years. I'll do henna, but that's it!

So my dolls have a few tattoos! They won't stretch or fade, and I can change them or touch them up as I like. Merrown has a great celtic knot, Lucien has a steampunk gear on his arm, and Kyan needs his forearm done.

 

I have two pentacles.....one in the crooke of each arm. I also plan to have Michael Turners version of wonder woman on one upper arm, and his version of supergirl on the other. My Micah has tribal sleeves from wrist to upper arm, several on his chest, and his back. Joby has a naval tattoo, and an upper arm tribal tatt......for me they do go hand in hand

 

I don't like tattoos on my doll, maybe I'll get one but probably won't.

 

I have two small tats, but don't plan on more. And I only have one doll that is inked, and that's because it simply suits his character. None of the others will get tats.

 

I have five stars trailing down the center of my back c:
So I most likely will give my doll one too, something similar to mine.
I seemed to have connected to my first doll the most, so I will have more similarities to him than my others.

 

I think if I were to ever thing of getting a tattoo I'll let my girl have one first. Hers can be erased the one that would go on me would last my whole life.

 

I don't have any and am unlikely to ever get one, as I can never decide on anything, but might put one on a doll because I could always change my mind later and take it off.

 

Sam will eventually have tattoos when i get around to getting some good MSC, but til then I am planning on one more tattoo for myself. On my other wrist since I have 3 right now, right wrist, back of neck, and ankle. But have to stop since I am pregnant right now >_<

 

At present I have five tattoos: an armband on each upper arm, a kanji on the back of my neck, a pentacle on my lower back and a large pair of wings across my shoulders. None of my dolls have work unless you count the chakra mark on Zenshin's forehead, a la Saiyuki. I'd give them tats if any of them wanted one, but no one has said they want body art yet! I need to have my armbands redone--they're 16 years old and have never been retouched--but I can't decide if I want to keep them the same or if I want them completely reworked.

 

I don't have any tattoos and no plans to put any on my dolls... though in the past a couple of my dolls have had them.

 

My Neils will have a very nice tattoo in his shoulder....I want a tattoo too, but not the same that my dolls

 

I like tattoos, but I have a very low tolerance for pain, so it's very unlikely I'd ever go through with getting one. I really also don't know what I'd get, whatever I come up with I have to make sure I'll love forever... I would like a doll with tattoos though, if it fits. I plan on a doll with blue scale patches all over his body, another with a huge burn scar all down his back and arm, so why not a tattooed girl? XD actually, my new Li may be that girl, hmm... I need some watercolor pencils. And that's the other thing, I can change her tatttoos any time I want, but I really can't :/

 

I don't have a tattoo nor do I want one. But I know for one of my doll character he will have tattoos.

 

I don't plan on getting any tattoos for myself, but I do want them... I'm so terrified of the whole prick prick ouch ouch thing... But my doll will eventually have tattoos...
