Tattoos: just you, just your dolls, or both?

I've got a number of tattoos myself (and I love looking at them), but only one of my dolls does. They wouldn't suit anyone else I have at the moment... But I'd love to have another canvas to work with!

 

I have one tattoo (and I would love more) and one of my dolls has a fairly large tattoo on her leg. I don't really think they're coordinated- Viv's tattoo was kind of spur of a moment, whereas I was planning on getting a tattoo myself when I was twelve. XD

 

I have 8 tattoos of my own and 6 piercings. I currently have 25 dolls. Nine of them (Mike, Amir, Hansel, Blake, Axl, Erik, Matt, Olli, and Billie) have tats and a few more (Jayson, Mige, and Titus) will be getting a few. Nine of them have pierced ears (Amir, Mikko, Loki, Blake, Mike, Hansel, Jayson, Maddy, Billie) and six have body piercings (Loki, Mike, Blake, Olli, Mige, Maddy).

 

I have 4 tattoos but I don't think my dolls will have any. I could change my mind, of course but at this point I don't have any plans to tattoo them. I got my tattoos for personal reasons and not really for the look, which I feel like is what the tattoos would be for the dolls - just looks. But that could be different for everyone. Other people's dolls have more developed personalities than mine!

I don't currently have any tattoos. Although I'm not adverse to perhaps getting one at some point. I have had dolls with tattoos, and one of my current 'project dolls' is actually a tattoo artist himself and will have a few.

 

Despite me having a tattoo and planning for more, none of my dolls have any. There are only two dolls here who could actually get a tattoo supporting their character but I didn't come up with an idea for those and they're fine without one, too.

Edit: Some time ago I gave one of my dolls a tattoo. ^^ I am still thinking about a good one for another doll.

 

I have no tattoo, but would like to do a dragon-shaped tattoo on my Hwang Lee( Luke DOD), would be a good composition in character. sorry I have no talent for it. They gave me the suggestion to buy a sticker.

I would never in a million years get a tattoo... and yet, they still fascinate me. So Evan has one. XD A cross on his left shoulder.

 

Florian, my RS Mai, has a tattoo, and may get more.
I currently have none, but I am contemplating getting one some day.
I don't think the two are connected, though.
My boy has gamer tats, and my tattoo would be rat paw prints.
I'd neeever get video game related tattoos, that's just Florians thing. ^_^

But I love seeing tattoos on dolls, almost more than seeing tattoos on people. It's probably all that gorgeous, small, detailing.

 

My ShuShu has a tattoo behind her ear! I don't have any myself yet, but have some planned out~

 

I have yet to find a tattoo I would like for myself, though I do have an interest in it I just haven't found anything I'd want permanently but hope to eventually. I think it'd be the same case for any of dolls I might have. I haven't thought of anything suiting any of the characters I want as dolls nor do any have tattoos as a defining feature, but somewhere down the line if I find something that suits one of them I wouldn't hesitate to find a way for it to happen.
For me tattoos are another way people can define themselves openly if they so choose and I'd want something similar to help define the character rather than just to look appealing.

 

My dolls and I don't have tatoo yet, however, I think it'll be pretty cool for them to have one or two in the future! I like tatoos on my resin doll more than on myslef because it will not be like a permanent scar. I can change it whenever I want. Plus, my resin doll will probably not change as much as I would as I aged.

With the way human skin ages, 50 years from now, I don't want be in the position where I have to explain to my grandchildren that it is a ribbon or whatever it was, and not a scary demon face on my arm/wherever.

 

I don't know if I would ever tattoo a doll. Mostly because I take long enough to think all of my tattoos out. I'd have to think a lot to find out what would match their character, what meaning the tattoo would hold for them, etc. I only get tattoos that hold deep meaning for me. I would want it to be the same for my dolls. Even though I know they can be removed easily, I still want it to be special.

I like putting tattoos on my dolls because I know I will never have a tattoo myself. It's kind of like I am living through my doll with that one because I don't think I could pull off a tattoo.

 

I have one tattoo, but am saving up for my next two. My Hades-esque charactar (hopefully a Mo 2) will get a chain of flames winding about his back, shoulders, and winding down his arms. Now if I can just find the right artist.

 

Me and my dolls both have tattoos. It's another way of having that personal connection!!

 

I have a handful of tattoos myself, but ironically my doll does not. im debating getting st. peters cross on his wrist.. but dunno yet!!

 

Though they don't yet I would like to have at least one of my dolls have a tattoo, but I never will! I would just prefer not to have something that permanent, since what I like picture-wise changes so often!
