Aaah! Well, I never would have understood that from the general conversation. Sounded like no one - including the priority list people - knew anything about what was going on... But from what you're saying, at least 11 people do, who perhaps are staying mum for whatever reasons. Can't say I blame them, in that case... Thanks for clearing that up, Christy. And I do think Anu makes a huge effort - it just seems like Bermann is cursed to be a very stressful experience to bring home, one way or the other. For some people the frustration of it can be a bit much...

 

I got both mails. but only answered to the one titled Bermann Hwarang.

 

Maybe, but I doubt that no one will pay, or that any will become availible.

Yep, I feel a case of consolation spending coming on for sure....

 

Someone did drop out for Heimdal last time and the next person in line on the priority list got him, so the possibility still exists. Don't give up hope gayle, you will get Bermann someday.

Thats not true though cause if it was PonyGery would be first.
She was second on the candidacy as the first person on the candidacy got Heimdal.
It was just a mass e-mail sent out to all 30 some people and whoever got it first/replied looks like they got it.

It's just weird cause they just made the priority list people "feel" like they were going to get Bermann and not have to click as fast as they could to get him.

I think it is unfair. Their e-mail made it sound that the priority came from Heimdal order list.
Mind-boggling ;_;
The whole process is so painful and stressful, it could just about turn me away from this hobby altogether ;_;

 

Actually, she wasn't, because I was the second person on the candidacy list. I know the first and third person who were on it too, and they were not ponygery.

Again, this seriously went in order with the original priority list because my name is first on the email list, and the girl who was third on the candidacy list is right behind me.

 

Ochame I am really bummed out too, but don't let it turn you off from the hobby overall.

I have moments of turning off to Bermann ( I have tried for him 3 times), but not to the hobby as a whole. And even with Bermann, by the time the next one comes around, I am over the disappointment and raring to try again.

Not to minimize how you or pony are feeling, cause trust me, I am feeling excatly the same way right now. Try to stay positive.

I didn't want to cause trouble earlier, especially as the e-mail from Momo was particularly vague, but when someone mentioned there were 30+ people on the list, it occurred to me that "priority list" doesn't mean Guaranteed Bermann. It means you have priority over everyone else in the world to have a chance at this next Bermann.... and all 31 people did have that priority chance. Still, my consolations, gayle, ochame, ponygery, surefall, & co.

 

I am out as well, but I have only myself to blame....well...maybe my boss as well....

I was not able to reply immediately becuase I was at work till 3am korea time. But again even if I do reply immediately my ranking in the previous round was low so I may not get it either...

So I was somewhat prepared that I wouldn't be able to get it... but stilll... quite disappointed... sigh....

I have been where you people who have missed out are now... i have practically been *living* there since Fall of 2004, and I cannot count how many times I lost bidding wars and online sales for Bermann, beginning back in the days when the original 77 Bermanns had just been sold. I have been as angry as ponygery and as depressed as gayle many, many times.
So my heart goes out to you all.

I'm not telling you this to rub salt into your wounds, or to show off, so please don't rip my head off. But the fact that I was lucky this time, after nearly two years of patiently hunting Bermann down shows that it can be done. So please don't lose your hope or your love for the hobby. Like many have said before me, if this is your dreamdoll, one day you will find him.

I'm sorry I cannot shed any real light on how the 11 winners were chosen. In the pre-sales email from tensiya they wrote:

"sooner mail sender for Hwarang, and paid earlier last time (for Heimdal) will get Bermann this time ^_^,"

Sounds like it was a mixture of both systems?!

Does somebody still need to make sure if they are on the winners' list? I can check by your email address if you pm me, but will not post the winners' email addys here since it's clearly against the rules. Any rules.

I feel so sorry for the people who didn't get this gorgeous boy ;__; I hope you'll get one next time, don't worry, there are a few more changed and I'm sure all of you will eventually bring a Bermann home ^^ But I feel very sorry for you guys, because you thought you'd get one for sure this time and then it turns out to be even more stressing than otherwise..(general observation, not to say Anu didn't handle this well-I can imagine it's a hard situation)..

by the way, did anyone get the Afghan?

 

This thread is really heart breaking to read and I am really sorry for those who did not get their doll, I know it's no consolation but there will be more Bermann's in the future, again I am truly sorry.

Gayle, I must say that I admire your attitude and can only hope that a Bermann finds his way home to you.

Yes, I forgot to say that too-sorry for the two post but I just have to say it-Gayle, you have the most amazing attitude ever. It's very inspiring to see you don't give up and stay positive! Hey and don't every give up, he'll find his way to you eventually! Perhaps when you see the next one, you'll be happy you didn't win this one? You never know..

I am just not going to allow myself to get so disappointed I give up, or start carrying alot of resentments over it. If one is meant to be mine, I really do believe he will find his way to me.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that I just got Aidan (Dollshe Husky) three weeks ago, he's very comforting
