Tensiya releases 4th Dollshe DO Bermann - Hwa-rang

Nena, I've sent you a PM about this...because *I* was the 3rd person on the candidacy list, and I did not receive an email...in fact, on the 1:1 board, Momo told me I was not getting a Bermann.

I'm terribly disappointed about this, and even checked to make sure I wasn't imagining that I was on the candidacy list. This picture proves it. Of course, I would've preferred that they didn't use my full name there, but that just proves it more that I was that 3rd person. >_>

I'm very sad that it looks like I'm not getting him again, but congratulations to everyone who is. He's a wonderful boy.

 

Wow then I am very sorry and am PMing you now :\ As I was first on the email list and knew someone with your first name who lives in NY, I thought it was safe to assume it was you who was behind me and that the entire thing was by priority. It just seems like a very rare and odd coincidence that my email was listed first out of 11 people and that I already was first in line for candidacy..

I'm not sure how Tensiya compiled the list then. My guess now is that they did end up doing a mix of who emailed back the quickest combined with the Heimdal priority list. I've written to Momo to ask now.

To be honest, I think Tensiya were a little confused about the process themselves... About two hours after I got the winner email, Momo sent me another email saying I didn't win Bermann. I replied back very confused to ask if it was a mistake and then Momo apologized and said it was.

 

thesaraghina, I think you should e-mail them and show them that picture. It seems like there was a mistake and you should have gotten an e-mail. *crosses fingers for you*

What an bizarre system. O_O I suppose if you e-mailed too late then you wouldn't be eligible. It's a shame though.

 

Thanks Rin, but it's really just looking like I missed out again and being #2 on the priority list just didn't help. I did email Momo, though, but am not expecting much out of it.

 

I will so be keeping my fingers crossed for you thesarahgina, you really should be getting this one and you have the proof.

 

Thank you gayle, but I really think I was just too late. I was in a meeting when the email was sent from Momo, and even though it didn't last more than an hour, I'm expecting that everyone else was able to send in their orders before I was.

I guess I'll be waiting anxiously for the next one along with you.

 

yes - and in addition to that, to the best of my knowledge tensiya never really stated that there was any particular order to the HwaRang priority list that had to do with the order of the Heimdal waiting list. At least I cannot find it, I've just checked all emails and saved statements from the tensiya boards from day one up to now.

So, if this is true (maybe I've missed something?) even if we think it should have been done that way, tensiya never promised to do it and in that case they were not really being unfair...maybe they meant for all on the priority list to have the same chance of getting HwaRang? just my idea, though....

 

I always believed it was a combo of who emailed back fastest and where you stood from the priority list from the tibit -- "sooner mail sender for Hwarang, and paid earlier last time (for Heimdal)" -- but it's not exactly clear. ><

 

Wow, I'm really sorry to all of you who weren't able to snag Bermann this time. I think the priority list was a mistake from the beginning, and in the end has caused more heartbreak than good. I hope all those who got this wonderful guy post lots of pictures! ^__^ And to anyone who got the Afghan boy as well, because he was quite adorable too. x3

 

Yes, that makes sense... maybe they sell to who mailed first, and if emails were sent at the same time, they put them in the order of who was higher up on the Heimdal waiting list? Or maybe something else altogether. All I know is they did not take this easy... and maybe there is just no way to do it "right" for everybody at all. I wouldn't want to make such decisions...

I haven't received either a Yes or No email in return-- dead silence all day. But, since Tensiya is also in the habit of sending unencrypted addressee-lists (dude! Biiig no-no! Hit the bcc button! bcc!!), then it sounds like you all definitely know that the Magic Eleven have already been notified. (And what their personal email addresses are.) So, I will assume it's over.

If they don't know how they're handling it, I don't think we can be blamed for being totally flummoxed for 13 pages of postings.

We can always try next time, because the next batch will be just as lovely as these. But as we mop up the puddles of blood in the aftermath, I'm mainly curious to know what happened. Just on general principle.

And-- most of all-- I am looking forward to seeing these eleven leggy beauties cavorting around in the Galleries as soon as you receive them. Mazel tov, you all!!

 

lol i am joining the NO BERMANN list once again.... kinda sad but its ok.... chun choo would be the alternative to bermann.... 11 chun choo 11 berman, 30 ppl on the list.... lol i should blame it on anustyle for not stating they need IE ofr looking @ pictures.... lol

ah well i shall go harrass momo, i wonder would they give priority in the next release for those who didn;t get it this time AGAIN... although i was asked if i wanted chun choo

I believe the 30 people on the list are already super lucky. Imagine, instead of having to compete with the world, you only had to do it with 29 others. Ok, some argue what's the point of the priority list thing then...but that's just it, you only had to compete with 29 not billions of people in this planet. That is already very generous of Anu to do so.

And this is how I figured Tensiya determined the winners: the quicker you were to get your email in you had higher preference over other emails regardless of your priority rank in the last heimdall sale. If there turns out to be more than 11 people who emailed at the same time, then whoever completed the Heimdall payment using their paypal last time got preference. I didn't know this was what they're doing when the whole thing happened, I just sat there and prayed and gave it my best shot and hope to die i don't screw up....

That's it. I am not gonna question Tensiya's decision whether it's fair or not. The bottom line is this...you tried your best, you either succeed or not. if you succeeded, that's good, but if you didn't then it's time to move on. As emotional as this might be at the moment, it will pass....

Oh man, I finally got to the end of this thread...

What a lot of heartbreak. I felt fully confident after the Heimdall incident that Tensiya would find a less confusing method to sell Bermann by, but I am still totally perplexed! I can only hope the process they used to determine who won him this time will come to light within the next few days; I know it will still hurt for those who missed out, but at least it might bring some sense of closure.

Congrats to those who got him. For those who didn't, all I can say is HANG IN THERE and good luck! Bermann is limited, but not unattainable. "Good things come to those who wait..."

 

I just don't know what to expect (from Tensiya) any more. Getting a doll from them is like... chinese water torture or something. I have no words... I better shut up, or I will say something I'd end up regretting later.

Erm, well, I haven't posted earlier because I was too much in shock and still can't believe it... I still have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming, but it looks like I got a Bermann too! I've been stalking the Tensiya site for quite some time and silently praying for luck without success...
I was puzzled too by this statement about who replies first AND who paid first last time will get him, so I thought I'd better not take any chances. I took time off work, prepared myself and patiently waited by the computer for the email and the pictures to go up and then acted as quickly I could. I figured I didn't have much of a chance, but there you go.

My heart goes out to all of you who missed him again - I honestly don't know how I would feel now if I had missed him a second time, but I can imagine... Hang in there, your chance will come! I'm never lucky, so if I did it, you can too!

Gosh, I read all this, and I can't believe it. And we wonder why there is war??

Anu was very, very generous to the people of the Heimdal mess. It's not her fault what happened to the server or to paypal....did paypal give you a bonus for their part in this? Well, did they?

As for the order of that list...what difference does it make? You'll get your doll if you were on the list. (Poor Anu, what she means by "is" is "is.")

I would like to encourage Anu to let me pick the remaining group of winners for her Bermann boys. I would do it and not give a reason....other than, I just felt like it...^^

 

uhm...:3 okay, i'm not very informed on this as it is...i've been reading up as much as possible but i've yet to gather...how many more bermann releases will there be? am i out of luck forever after this next one? x.x
