Tensiya releases Dollshe Tan SA Bermann Il Milione

Jul 3, 2007

    1. I have tried the computer where I work as well as my personnal one and I get the same problem. And from what I understand they will only send the letter to the account you have on Tensiya. I have just checked their website and they do have my e-mail information.

I have no idea why all my answers from Tensiay are all garbled up. But I think I'm not the only person with that problem.

    2. nope i just read from several posts that there are some other fellow doa'ers who have the same problem. if it's any consollation i didnt receive the group e-mail at all;___;

    3. I didn't get the latest email either.
Does Anu read this board at all? Is there any way we can let her know just how bloody confusing this all is? I'm sure her site's 1:1 board is getting swamped.

    4. *deep breath* Okay... I put my application and bid in. If payments are due right away, I'm totally out. But hopefully they'll accept payment once the boys are ready to be shipped out. *crosses fingers* I can totally make some money in 3-6 months.

    5. That's not how it works I'm afraid :sweat
You pay the full price and then you wait 3-6 months when he is being made
because I'm not sure they take layaway for Bermann, cause I have never heard anyone say they have done it that way.

      Sabriell

    6. Good luck everybody!!!

    7. Timchener > From the last order you've had to pay immedately (within 24h) after you recieve a confirmation that you've won.

    8. I see this will be even more confusing than before. Everyone will bid the $2,000, what next???

Anu sure comes up with creative ways of torturing us.

    9. I put in my application. We'll see.

    10. That's exactly what will happen. Given that these dolls regularly climb way above that on ebay, people will start out with the very highest bid and it will wind up being exactly the same thing the system already is, basically the first 11 who bang in that bid, will get the doll.

I don't disagree that Anu is entitled to $2K per doll. Personally, I think the dolls are more than worth that, and the market certainly says they are, with Bermann's on the secondary market ALWAYS going beyond that price. But I do agree, that this system of selling, will be even more problematic than what has been used before. I project a possible recurrance of many of the same problems that happened with Heimdal.

I am quite sure there will be no layaway. You pay Tensiya right away, then, as Sabriell said, wait upwards of 7 months for delivery on the doll.

I personally have always thought this business of taking full payment for the doll, before the doll is ready to ship, is not a good business practice. But who knows, Anu may actually need that money up front to finnance finishing the dolls, and that may be the reason it has always worked this way.

    11. Though the email does state that bidding the full 2000 doesnt necessarily mean thats what gets you the doll. Not that it means anything major, I'm pretty sure all 11 will go for 2000. But someone prove me wrong, please?

    12. Well I`m dropping off... 2000$... I was ready to pay 1250$ for him but 2000$ plus shipping plus the hell of a heap amount of taxes I`ll have to shell out when he arrives (especially if they mark him up as being 2000$) let`s do a quick math here:
      2000$+ 88+ 5%= 2192.40 USD
Let`s change this into Can: 2,322.91
That`s upfront when Customs get a hold of the doll they will charge me: 325.80 CAN in taxes for a grand total of: 2648.71 CAn
So Canadian buyer that`s what your Bermann is going to end up costing you.

That`s a bit too rich for my blood so I`m pulling out.

    13. I bid what I honestly could afford to bid, which was NOT 2k. Cleaning out my savings accounts will net me about $1650.00, which is my bid.

I'm sorry to disagree with the Bermann elitists out there, but I do not think that the dolls are worth over 2k, I don't care what the after-market value is. You're paying that extra money for the fact that they are limited, not for the quality of the doll.

    14. when you consider that Anu's doll clothes brought as much as $800 on YJ back when the US dollar was worth much more, it puts things in better perspective.

      but, an auction? ugh. :doh

well, he's beautiful eye candy, that's for sure. good luck to those bidding.

    15. The first and second message that I received were very hard to read. One line followed by a lot of blank spaces, then another line.

But I did put in for one. Hope I get him.

    16. I'm a bit upset. I could have afforded him if he had been sold at a fixed price like all the others, but if they all go for 2K then with shipping and tax there's no way I can afford it.

Bermanns have always been expensive, but if you look back at the market place value thread they never used to go for 2K even on the secondary market.

I suppose it's wise of Anu from a bussiness point of view to sell them this way after their value of Bermann has sky rocketed in the last year, but I can't help but be dissapointed.

      Since when?

I have been charting Bermann pricing to the penny for the past two years, and during that time, not one of em that was put up for auction EVER sold for less than $2K.

I don't like it better than anyone else, however, we are in a market driven economy, and the market itself (what people are willing to pay) determines "fair cost".

I think the lowest I have seen in the past two years was about $3K, and the highest was around $8K. Given that, and the quality of Anu's costuming and presentation with these dolls, $2K doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

There's lots of things I wish could happen with Bermann's; I wish he wasn't limited, I wish he was availible nude, or as a kit, I wish he could be priced like Hound. However, the dolls are limited, are not availible nude, and the prices are determined by the market. It may suck, but that's just the way it is.

I am not trying to say to anyone, don't be disappointed, I well understand the frustration and angst that wanting Bermann causes, I have been there.

I guess all I am saying is given how the market has increased so dramatically, I personally would rather see Anu make that money, than scalpers. After all, she's the one who does the work, and if the market bears higher pricing, then she should be the one reaping that benefit.

It still highly irritates me that she makes people pay for the dolls before they are ready to ship, but so it goes.

    18. Well I put in my offer...so now I wait~!!! ^_^ hihi

    19. Well, I understand that is the market price, Gayle. Anu wouldn't be much of a business woman if she did not sell her goods at what the market will pay for them, and I don't blame her.

Obviosuly, i'm a grownup, like anybody, i'll just have to deal with the fact that I cannot always have what I want if I am not willing to pay the price, but won't stop being disapointed.

When I came into the hobby 4-3 years ago I didn't remenber Bermann selling for as much. I thought it was only in the last year or two. I must be wrong.

    20. When the original Bermanns were released 3-4 years ago, almost all were sold to Korean owners, and they rarely sell their Bermanns and even more rare to see one being sold outside Korea...at least then it was.

The "rules" of the Bermann community were a bit strict then there :sweat

But yes Bermanns have been growing into a "sexdollsymbol" since after the first SA Bermann release, about 2 1/4 years ago
