It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Tensiya releases Dollshe Tan SA Bermann Il Milione

Jul 3, 2007

    1. i think Anu just wanna make sure that people who bid for bermann is for loving the doll. not for sell him on 2nd market. no one understand? if you will pay $2000 for him and willing to wait half a year to him. maybe you are the one who is really love him. pls note. i think many people here know this fact. several bermann dolls were sold on here, or on EBAY as soon as they arrive(or even not in hand) for a vatiety of reasons. why? but now, you need to pay $2000 for a bermann, and you should not sell him before he arrive. will you still invest this business? bermann should belongs to people who really love him. i will pay very high price to buy him on 2nd market. by far the more than $2000, not for he is limited(laugh~). i'm not rich. i come from a country wich our money must divide 7.6 to get US dollars quantity. just for love. my love for bermann worth it.

    2. I really hope that after all the Bermann releases are over Anu starts working on a new limited doll that is also beautiful just like Bermann. :)

    3. YES exactly! Because she did ask "are you planning to sell him before you have him y/n??" So yes she did notice that some scalpers were after Bermann as well.

And of course it's a lot of money, but it's still a business, and she puts all her love and devotion into these gorgeous boys and their image.
So I think it's only fair for her to ask all this.

A nude Bermann has to be one of the cheapest limited large dolls EVER!! So all her work in in the image/theme of the Bermann.

    4. Yeah, Bermanns really didn't used to go for this much, mostly because nobody really wanted them. Even when Anu started this with Valentino and Shinsegumi, those two dolls SAT on the Tensiya website for a while before they sold out. Maybe it's because now there's a new influx of them and people have seen more variety and possibility in them that they're going for so much.

I also agree with what Cyn said, that when the Bermanns go for $5k on auction, you're paying for the fact that he's so limited. If Bermann WERE sold like Hound, he would never, ever go for that much. Because of the way they're sold, by luck, when people have the chance to get one by throwing in as much money as they possibly can, they do it. Sad, but true.

I also have to wonder if Anu is only doing this as sort of an auction system because of the price the one-off Bermann fetched at Dollectable and realized how much more money she could make?

ETA: I don't think that the $2000 price tag will ward off scalpers at all. $2000 doesn't seem that much when you can go back and sell it for $4000 or $5000 and still make a huge profit. No doubt that scalpers will hike the price up to justify the outfits -- $800 an outfit makes it fair, right? =_=

    5. Yeah, at $2K, the market has out competed me. I suppose I can afford him financially, but not psychologically. I just could not relax and play with him, and much as I respect the artistry of my dolls, I still want to play with them. There seems to be an unspecified value at which I get intimidated by a doll. I don't have the exact number, but I know it when I feel it, a combination of guilt and caution.

With respect to angeline425, I do not think the price of $2000 will weed out all the scalpers. With secondary market prices of $3000 to $8000, that is still a good short run return on the initital investment. I do think that Anu deserves to get what the market will bear, because it is her artistry and labor for sale.

I am letting go of my Bermann dream for now, but not giving up all hope, because, you know, markets do change. . .

    6. Hi there....Just checking out the TensiYa webpage and saw that the Bermanns are "Anu Limited" and when you click on their page they have things like "Payment for 6th Winners only"......what does that mean? How on earth do you get one?
      thank you!

    7. :eusa_pray Prayer ! :aheartbea

[Also see this thread if you are interested in the new tan SA edition 'Il Milione' : http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149823. The other editions shown on the site are sold out now, but do turn up on the secondary market : here on DoA marketplace or on Ebay. I should perhaps mention that lots of people want them...:sweat ]

      :aheartbea jaxa:aninja:

[Aha - the thread has been condensed now ! So the link I've posted for you is now the thread you are in !]

    8. Holey-macaroni!

    9. maybe......all of these are only our imagine. we should keep watch and see...... if the winner are the people who bid $2000 or almost that price this time. for myself, i offered a very low price because i haven't expected there will be an anction. so i have no enough budget. in fact, bermann is only precious to who really care for him. to some of my friends, he is just a BJD. they don't have interested in him no matter if he is limited or worth $8000 on 2nd market.

    10. that is so true!! i remember paying 3k for an artist doll once and all my friends were like ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! when they saw him but loving him dearly as i do, i do not feel sad or i wasted my money... you know, sometimes luxury items like these don't require a logical reason, you just need to bond with it! <3

    11. :) Just want to wish everyone good luck on this one !

I really love the way Anu has styled him - the theme for the doll is just perfect, when you think of these dolls travellng all over the globe to meet their new owners.

:sweat I think I'm staying out of this one [so that my other resin kids don't get cross with me !].

:aheartbea I hope each one of the lovely eleven will go to wonderful homes [first or second time around ;) ]

Petite Ballerine : I read your posts about this and I really feel for your frustration here - I got my email late too ! I really, really hope you get one ! :eusa_pray

      :aheartbea jaxa:aninja:

    12. for some reason i'm having a hard time leaving this thread;__; probably because there are many people here who are psyched up about these cuties as much as i am!! ;o

    13. Ah well. XD! My bid wasn't that high anyway. No way in hell I'm paying $2000 for a doll. It was fun to try, though! XD!!

    14. Hi Jaxa - I'm like Chemicalstar; can't seem to stay away today. esp. since I'm working on the computer all afternoon.

yes, very frustrating and not really happy to part with $2000. I think he's worth it, though. all those little accessories and clothes. I'm in luvvvv..

I'd love to see someone win him for less $, but then those who bid the full $2,000 wouldn't be too happy! I suggest everyone keep their bids to themselves. :sweat LOL.

I leave it all up to the Doll Gods. let each boy find his true Home.:daisy

    15. If you'd been charting Bermann pricing to the penny for the last two years you'd know that one sold here on DoA, within the last few months, for $2000. Looks like a few pennies under $3000 to me.

      Now as for this payment within 24 hours thing, can I cry? If we even had one week, I could have done it. I'd have gone through all this 'auction' junk and garbled emails for the opportunity to 'win' and actually be able to pay for one. $1200 US and up within 24 hours on my minimum wage Canadian paycheque? I dun't be thinking so. T'was nice to dream though. I hope whoever wins posts beautiful pictures. I need to live vicariously through someone when it comes to this guy. ;_;

Chalk up one more person on the tally of people who didn't even get the email.

    16. I recieved the e-mail, and put in a bid myself. I definitely did NOT bid $2000 and am at least of the hope that the other factors of the application play a large part in who is chosen. (or why would they be included?)

I am nervous about the results, and paying within 24 hours of notification of winning makes it difficult for me. I'd have to try very hard to get it all together.

I wish everyone luck however. I hope those who deserve this gorgeous boy get him.

    17. Obviously, I missed one. Excuse me.

Let me rephrase my observation then: MOST of the ones that have sold in the past two years, at auction have been in the $3k to 8k range, and thereby I think Anu's desire to make $2k per doll, is not out of line.

    18. Thank joo.

Edit; Goddamn laptop tablet thinger. >.< Didn't mean to post. Was going to say...

I was just confused because you made it sound like you had stalked every Bermann to go on sale in the last two years, yet you didn't see the one right on the market.

      Thanks for clarifying though. :)

    19. I somehow didn't get the second e-mail... Can someone let me know which e-mail the bid is supposed to go to? >.<

    20. How exactly do you send in a bid anyway?
