It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Tensiya releases Dollshe Tan SA Bermann Il Milione

Jul 3, 2007

    1. Hahaha yes I was checking my email like that as well! XD

      ----------------------

To everyone who send in their offer:

I would like to request, that when we know the winners on Monday, that people who haven't won a Bermann will not mail Tensiya in a fit of disappointment or anger .

Sherry and Anu are doing everything to make US happy so they do NOT deserve angry/hateful words, this is a very stressful period for the both of them.

      I thank you!

      Sabriell

    2. I'm in complete agreement with you Sabriell. I can't imagine what these two are going through right now.

      Good luck to everyone!

    3. I was thinking how everyone is behaving so nicely and most DOA'ers have been pretty good through all the sales. For me, it's the frustration of not knowing what to do at the beginning that's aggravating. (I never got a response to my request for information, so I switched to gmail and got the application...LOL...)

this is a sort of bonding experience to wait in a group and share our feelings. I guess I never thought about people sending emails to Tensiya. (
except during that Heimdall mess.) better we vent here than bother the artist we all admire!

    4. yes i agree with you ballerine, this way when we talk about how we feel, we feel relieved to know we aren't the only one in this confusion. i am really nervous mainly because i am afraid mine will end up as a sad love story, but the thought that at least a few people in this forum will get him makes me feel better because then we will see some photos^-^ if we feel this way i cant imagine how stressed out anu and sherry should be!

    5. Well they do, I have no idea how bad these emails are, but no matter how bad it's still a horrible thing to mail them and say such things.
Somehow people forget that they are NOT the only one entering this Bermann-round. Or that they are the only one who want him more than someone else...which IMO isn't something you yourself can judge.

And we should still feel grateful towards Anu that she made this project possible!!

      Sabriell

    6. ooooh, I just thought of something. Anu says July 9th! that's Korean time!! so, Sunday we should know, depending on how early/late the info is sent/posted.

      :)

I keep wondering what's next for Anu... hoping it's LE costumes for our lanky boys.

    7. I hope she does release another beautiful LE one...I never had a change of getting a Bermann but I don't mind. My plan was to use Bermann's body on a Hound head because I really love her first LE doll release..I don't remember the name of the doll but he looks just like a Hound. ^ ^

    8. Sabriell, I agree with your request and thank you for posting it. :) Thanks also for posting the list date — my refresh button might actually have a chance for survival now, LOL.

Hugs & much luck to all!

    9. hahah my finger does actually ache from clicking the mouse for refresh:x talk about excitement and obsessing!!XD

    10. I agree that it's not nice to email her with mean comments. But at the same time I don't think we should be super grateful because Anu has decided to not have good buisness practices. That being said, hate mail still isn't cool. But I don't see why people shouldn't send honest critique about issues such as the lack of information about when a Bermann will be out. If these really are to go to those who want them most or won't resell, then why only tell people in a time so short that no one would be able to save in the time? It's all luck. Last time this happened, I was offline for a day and a half. When I got back on I discovered that Bermanns were being sold and that the whole process had already finished. To even think of applying I would have needed to have been home in the middle of the day and happened to have checked my email/the board.

Yes I know that this time there have been a few days notice. It's still not long enough for someone to work up the money, unless they happen to have kept more than the ammount that previous Bermanns cost sitting aside in their bank account.

Once again, I'm NOT saying that angry emails are a good idea. They are a very bad idea. But by that same token, we are not being done some favor because a doll company is selling a limited.

    11. Personally, I think sending emails to companies about how disappointed you are in them or their methode, because you didn't win a limited doll is foolish. They can't help it that those people didn't get that doll.

And why shouldn't we be "grateful" towards Anu?? If she hadn't done this project, nobody here on the forum, except some of the people who were smart enough to order an Original 77 Bermann 4 years ago, would have the pleasure of owning one of these amazing dolls.

So she made some mistakes, but I don't think she expected him to turn into such a wanted doll in the international dollcommunity [or as some people have called it "ego-status"] but she is handling it as best as she can on her own and the help of Sherry and Momo.

And people who have missed this release yet again...well...bad luck is all I can say.

      Sabriell

    12. Oh, rosin has said what i want to say:) i'm so happy to see people here showing their understanding to Anu and her team. bad emotion can help us gain nothing. so let's pray and wait for the result calmly. if you win, pls accept my sincere. if you don't, pls bless other people who wins.

    13. I don't understand this mentality of it would be more fair to put them on ebay than this 'selective' method Anu has chosen.

How is it less fair for the creator of these dolls to choose who they go to, than to stick them on ebay and give no opportunity to someone who who may not have $6000 dollars to spend on one doll right then and there?

Just because someone can't afford $2000+ within 24 hours for one doll doesn't make them any less deserving, or mean they want it any less, than someone who can drop $2000-$8000 for their first... second... third... or even fourth Bermann. I think that how Anu has done this, while confusing and maybe a pain in the butt for some of us, is fair. Perhaps she will give some consideration in this round to those who are looking for their very first Bermann, as opposed to another one in their collection.

Don't get me wrong, if people want to own multiple Bermann's that's their business and there's nothing wrong with how they choose to spend their money. I just see no problem with Anu deciding who her dolls go to, and perhaps giving a few more first time owners a chance. :)

And no, for the record... I didn't put in for one. So this isn't a "duuuude, I don't have a Bermann, I deserve more of a chance than the rest of you." It's just how I figure things, opinion. I'm not right or wrong, just like anyone who disagrees/agrees with me.

And on a completely seperate note... I agree with you completely Sabriell. I really hope that those who don't win a Bermann will have the decency to not send any 'nasty' or disappointed emails to Anu. Venting or showing your disappointment here on the forum is completely alright, but Anu's got enough on her plate putting out these dolls. She really doesn't need that.

    14. :) Best wishes to everyone who has applied for Il Milione ! :aheartbea

:sweat I realise this is going to be a very long, stressful weekend for some of you and I am really hoping for the best for everyone here.

;) May your dreams come true ! :aheartbea

      :aheartbea jaxa:aninja:

    15. Amen.

And along those lines I'd like to say:If I purchased the rights from a sculptor to make ten limited dolls, made all the clothing and painted them, why would I have to release them in any way that didn't suit me? I'd have every right to sell them for $2,000 and only to my closest friends if that's what I wanted. If she wants to set them all on fire and laugh at us, she should feel free becasue until she sells them they belong to her.

I believe she still works a day job as a computer programmer on top of running Tensiya and working on the Bermann project, cut her some slack.

    16. When I got my email, I promptly screamed, spazzed, and nearly fainted. My fiance said, "No." And that was the end of it. I can still dream though! I am fortunate that one of my friends at the local doll meet has a few Bermanns. The tan just kills! My favorite of hers though, is one of the original 77 (I believe).

I think that Anu is just trying to calm the storm before it begins with the new process. Sure, it is confusing, but I think that it is fair. Who knows, maybe lower bids will be accepted. There could be a secret method to the madness that we don't know about.

    17. I have to say, I totally agree with both Sleep_Pattern and Idrisfynn here, both when it comes to the new ordering process, and with Anu's choice on how that process should go.

It seems incredibly fair of her in my opinion, and much better than putting the dolls up for auction on some sort of site like ebay, where only the people who do have $2000-$6000 to drop on the spot would be able to aquire one.

These dolls are gorgeous. I applaud Anu for both wanting to know where her creations are going and wanting to have such a large role in deciding where they will go. :)

    18. There is nothing wrong with being happy that the dolls are available and that Anu made that happen. However, that isn't a reason to never comment on anything. There is a difference between sending in feedback and sending hate mail. Especially dealing with such a small business.

Imagine if you were running a store and were doing something that kept away many customers, but no one ever told you and all you ever got was positive feedback from the people who were able to buy one of your small number high demand items. Would you really want that? When a group or even an individual person stops getting feedback from customers or the people around them things start to fall appart. I'm not saying that people who didn't get a Bermann should complain that they didn't get one.

But by that same token I don't think that only those who do get one should ever send feedback.

    19. I am really confused. I understand they're super-limited, but I don't see the appeal or the draw of the Bermann...especially not for the prices he commands second-hand.

But I guess that's why I'm not entering. Best of luck to those who do.

Meanwhile...can someone explain what they like about him so much?

    20. friendly feedback is always good to improve the system in the future^-^
