Tensiya releases Dollshe Tan SA Bermann Il Milione

For me, it's all about the realistic sculpt, with the little muscles shown in shadows around his mouth, cheeks and chin. And of course, there's his glorious nose. Pics to illustrate:









But I brought my boy home for a reasonable price, by comparison with what they're selling for these days. There's no way I would be able to afford one today.

 

I'm of the opinion that it's fairer if it's sold by regaular auction because, no one's a chairity case, no matter how much you want a Bermann, if you don't have the money, and other people do and are willing to spend it, you just can't have it. Just like everything else, that's how things work in a capitalist economy (of course it cna be argued if that in it's self is 'fair' but it's an age old debate). There's very little room for bais or anything this way.

If they sold off based on an application, there's lots of grey areas. Is it really fair to judge who wants a Bermann more and is more deserving of one? Anyone can make stuff up. If it's based on how well you can express yourself in an essay, it's very unfair for people who's first langue is not English/Korean or can just not express themsleves in words well.
It's also not very clear form the email what to do.

I have no doubt all the Bermanns will go for 2K. But it seems like the emails might be a deciding factor of who was willing to pay 2K will get the Bermann. I know if I bid the top amount (for the record, I didn't enter at all) but didn't write a note or essay (I doesn't explicitly say you should) becuase I didn't understand you had to, and someone else got a Bermann becuase they did, and were deemed more 'worthy', I'd be upset.

Of course Anu can sell them off anyway she likes. I'm in no way suggesting that she has any obligation to sell them how I think would be fairest, but that's no reason why I shouldn't still have an opinion on the matter.

I think the fairest way to sell them, would have been a raffle wiht fixed price (even a very high one) at least then it's clear cut.

 

I have to agree with everything Sillypeach said. The fairest way would have been a fixed price, even considerably higher than what she has previously set.

But, as others have said, they are her creation, and she really is entitled to sell them any way she wants. As to giving her constructive feedback, I think that's perfectly reasonable. Feedback is different than throwing a temper tantrum (which I don't agree with). Businesses NEED to hear feedback in order to improve product, and customer service. If a company doesn't get that from buyers, how are they to know if what they are doing is working?

 

I saw two Bermanns at my first doll meet. I also saw a Dollshe Van. For a newbe, the appeal to me was the size at first. The hands came in second, but I don't know that Van had the same hands. They were strong looking, and veined. Then it was one of the original 77's snarky face that drew me in. He had a mixture of sad, angry, dangerous, and lonely worked into his face. There was also an SA Bermann there. For me with him it was his haughty "I could care less that I am here," look combined with suspicious side long glances he kept casting my way. Van topped off my love for Dollshe, limited or not, with his unusual nose, yet soft startled, loving, sad eyes. They all seem to have a mixed feeling coming from them, and they really command a presence about them.

Since then, I've seen Saint, Tanned Bermann, Tanned IM Hound, Hound... Well just about one of each I guess...

 

I just got my email and didn't get one of the beauties! Nevermind, I'll try again for the last release. Anyone get lucky?

 

I think it's still too early to get an email, because let's see...it's only 5:45am in Korea now
I hope they are both still in dreamland.

We have no fixed schedule for him yet, but have a great plan for him as a special edition of Bermann doll. just as like Il Milione.

Of course, I just got my email that I didn't win Il Milione. Poo j_j. Although I'm confused... this is the last SA Bermann release, correct? And there's only one last DO Bermann release left after this one ?

Yes, this is the very last SA Bermann. There's only one run of Bermanns left and that's Luis Dobermann, ETA unknown.

 

I wonder if she notified the winners first. just to be sure they were ready to pay for their boys and ready to wait for them.

Sorry it took me so long to post my results here guys. I got my message at about three thirty today. I didn't win one but that's alright. I hope we find out who did win soon! I'm so excited to see who will bring one home!
