My email was basically the same as xredderz's but it also added this:

"There were too many applicants than our expects,
in addition,there are too many hightest bidders, too..
So we had to agnoy agnoy agnoy and agnoy for our choice for a long time...."

Are we supposed to honestly believe that they didn't "expect" to be bombared by TONS of applications, like this release would be any different than the previous ones??? And are we honestly supposed to believe that they didn't "expect" to have more than 11 people offer $2000 for him???

So how DID they make their "agonizing decision"?! Is it me, or does that last sentence imply FAVORITISM? WTF is so hard about throwing ALL high bids into a bucket and doing a BLIND draw?!?! So now I (and many others, I'm sure) are left to wonder things like:

--Did I not kiss up to Anu enough, or didn't gush and fawn over her glorious work, or didn't rush to her defense anytime somebody dared question her Bermann release methods?
--Am I not a prominent enough member of the BJD community in general?
--Or because I didn't include a sappy essay or other comments/compliments/bribes/pleas/etc. in my application? (I felt it was best to keep my answers short and to the point to avoid any confusion... or possible disqualification.)
--Or maybe I just haven't bought enough stuff from Tensiya?

I know these are silly reasons, and one would like to *think* that Anu would never resort to such petty behavior... but with the exception of the very first two, EVERY Bermann release has been a fiasco in some shape or form, most, like this one, with a subtle and sickening UNFAIRNESS about them. Anu has caused SO MUCH needless frustration and animosity within the BJD community, all because of her release methods. I kept hoping she'd eventually wise up and just do a straight blind lottery draw, or even auction them on eBay -- this time may have been intended to be more fair, but based on the above comments from the email, it's still feels frakfrakfraked [LOL censors!] up. Basically it strongly suggests that either Anu is a total idiot, or, that she likes to have control over who some/all of her dolls go to.

With every release I vow to never let myself get dragged into Anu's remaining releases... but every time I still end up trying, only to feel totally screwed over afterwards -- not because I'm being a sore loser, but rather because I can't help but feeling that there's some kind of bias, or some Bermann "secret society" that I'm unaware of, or simply because I don't play "the game"...

 

I'm so excited to see the winners. Congratulations to anyone who did get him or good luck to those still waiting on their emails!

I totally agree with you Kim.

I think Anu's release methods are part of the reason Bermann is so sought after, she always makes hem so ahrd to get. It's an artifical market.

I really wish they would create a standard Bermann-esque doll so all the people I see agonizing over each release that do not get one, could get something closer to one than the other Dollshe's are.

It's really a shame, because people know they won't be able to afford a second hand market one.

Congrats to the winners, this is one doll I am very, very glad I am not vying for, but I feel for you guys that are. It must be torture.

Received my rejection e-mail as well. ^^'; I'm still very confused as to why they did the release like this, and wish they would just return to the site releases and get a better server so it won't crash. That seems like the most logical thing to me.

I shall continue to wait for the last of the DO Bermanns, though, and anticipate their release highly. The tan SA Bermann really drew me to him, so much so that I may be willing to pay second-hand market price for him some day. (Please note the 'some day' aka when I can afford it xD ).

Perhaps for some reason, the winners will be notified last? Not sure why, but that seems to be how it's going.
