1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

That One Thing You Can't Find ANYWHERE!

Jul 6, 2014

1. shoes.... for everyone. They never come in the right sizes and they never fit right... there's so many things, i just gave up and figured ill just make everything. but also, tiny tiny zippers and buttons that are in scale for the tiniest of tinies.

2. I am desperate for a long sleeve, button up sweater for a yosd girl. I really didn't know it was going to be so hard to find when I planed a mori girl style character.

3. I've been on the lookout for long, curly mohair wigs, and I've found plenty... just none that are the right size or color. Guess I'll be learning how to make them!

4. I just bought a cardigan from Starrshine Designs on etsy for my 1/6 girl. It looks adorable in the pictures and the price was very affordable. Good luck finding one for your yosd!

My vote's for shoes. They're too narrow or not long enough... So hard to find a decent pair.

5. I'm probably not looking hard enough, but a decent yosd size umbrella. Bonus points if it's one of those neat clear ones...all I seem to find are flimsy looking parasols.

6. I have to add to the YoSD rants.

Why is it so hard to provide good clothing for boys? Do company's really think only girl YoSDs are purchased? And from my experience/tastes, boy clothes are either too bland or too grand (or 2-grand---take your pick---for the prices sometimes charged!).

Like many of you---outside of shoes (which is a whole other story)---I've taken to just making my own.

7. I saw a nice SD sized sake set on Etsy a couple of days ago...so you might check there, I think it was listed as a miniature tea set though.
Oh, and was someone looking for a doll sized cauldron? Try 13moons.com, they have a variety of sizes and styles.

8. Shoes. There is a particular style that I want, and though I did find it in MSD size, the inner foot length is too small for my guy. I know he's 6 cm, so those 5.5's probably won't fit him...

I was tempted to get them anyway, but I have to remind myself that his heel will probably be sticking out. XD

9. good quality, casual underwear and ankle socks (from shops I trust).
I like a certain realism for my dolls, and that means wearing panties under skirts and bras under shirt. the only sets I can find are fancy lacy lingerie sets,
but I want sport bras (or at least bras that aren't full of beads and laces), regular boring 'bikini' panties, boyshorts, actual boxors for guys (not briefs), but it's SO RARE. and for minifees there's virtually none of that!
time to learn to sew I guess

10. Have you checked Etsy? In my constant search for clothing that'll fit my incoming DC Queena (grumble grumble no dresses for DC dolls! grumble grumble), I've come across lots of shops that sell boxers and plain lingerie for Minifees specifically.

11. Doll hair wax or spray for styling/maintaining their wigs. I can never find any and when I do they're sold out. Volks has a mist and wax...but shipping is high and the wax is out of stock. I would try Azone stuff (I wanted it for them in the first place) but no where has it AND their mist costs over $30 some places with shipping. I'ma wait till Volks restocks their stuff and then bite the bullet and buy from them >.>.

12. @Darevries: Try asking formydoll to make one for you?

glitzygryphon: Unless it was a limited mold, you'll likely have a chance at it again. Withdoll offers colors other than normal and white in 'events' about every quarter. I'm expecting there will be a winter/x-mas 'event' again as well, where you could get your hands on dolls in other colors.

Aarilyn: Have you checked Dollmore and formydoll? In case of formydoll, if there is a style you like but they don't have it 'only' in dark blue at the moment, you can custom order it. Takes a while, but results have so far always been worth it.

13. Really? I'm on etsy all the time and haven't found that many things. (Found some socks yesterday though)

14. Okay, I'll try that. Thanks for your advice! ;u;

15. sahoma If I get some time tonight, I'll try to find some of the shops and I'll message them to you. Just have to sift through all of my favorites. :)

16. I found that the little scissors in a mini/portable sewing kit is a perfect size for an SD. Those kits are usually only a few dollars and you can find them at the grocery store in the laundry section. :) Hope that helps!

17. The perfect MSD winter coat. I've always imagined one that goes down to the mid-thigh at most, with toggles, a hood, pockets, and different-patterned cloth on the inside, and I KNOW they exist, but it seems whenever I find them, they're always sold out, or there's some odd little detail they have that completely turns me off. Darn me being so picky!

Also, any clothes that fit my Dream High Studio Ossia. I'm starting to think I'll just have to make my own clothes for her - nothing fits her narrow chest and wide, wide hips. :(

18. A head for my modded clear resin body. I keep just ending up with a headless body.
:...(

19. Boots for my msd boy! His feet are 5.8 and I either find way too big like 6.5 or just a smidge small ie 5.5. But just in general boyish clothing. I do think most clothing stores are catered to slim mini girls.
