1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

The Fear Factor - when did you lose it?

Aug 16, 2007

    1. Oh, I still I have a partial fear. I can't work myself up to take apart my doll even if I should had to do from start (the company stringed the doll too tensely). I don't want to see him disassembled, it would be too bizarre.

    2. I lost if pretty fast actually. my doll was for sale and for good reason! he couldn't stand and his legs and arms were all over the place. it drove me mad. So ofcourse I chose to be brave and restring, suede and so on. Made some mistakes along the way but i am glad I started early :dance

    3. I pulled my doll apart the moment she arrived! I had everything ready to start painting and airbrushing, and figured that would be easiest with her in pieces! So I think I never really had the fear! Watched a lot of tutorials and such prior though, I think that helps :) Nothing can really go wrong if you know what to expect!

    4. My first doll was shipped unstrung, so I didn't really have time to be afraid of restringing! I did my first faceup about a year into the hobby, and have recently started getting more involved in tattoos and hot glue sueding. I'm not necessarily fearful to mod, restring, and paint my dolls, just a bit cautious.
