1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

The first day and the last day of sized Shinydoll Mini production.

Nov 5, 2009

    1. I'm really excited to see her pose with the arms strung! Yay!

    2. LOL, I LOVE that idea! I am writing that down and am gonna plan on hosting such a party next year!!! What a wonderful idea, wonder why I never heard of that one yet! LOL.

      I'm curious to see how well Fragile bends at the waist. Can she arch her back or how far forward or sideways can she bend?

    3. I think parties like that are probably why Japanese people live so long XD

    4. [IMG]

      I am so happy now, finishing all joints designing of Fragille.
      I have to drink from now, even if I was too drunken this morning as the output of the party of last night. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^

    5. babytarragon-san,
      I hope you love the outlook of the new elbows.

      IngieBee-san,
      These photos might show the bending.

      I heard that many people came to Japan felt terrible ^^);, watching the people walking around the city after the "forgetting this year's bad things party".
      All are drunken, and walking zig-zag, sometimes speaking loud..
      I also heard, that Japan's society is very much patient to drunkers behaviours. ^^);
      If we do that in CANADA or in some other nations, we would be arrested at once,,, ^^);;;
      And, grumblings are the main thing in the party in order to forget the bad things of the year, which might be a terrible conversation for non-drinkers... ^^);;;
      I hope you will design fleshy forget party.
      There remains many days before the new year comes.
      You can do it this year with your good friends (after Christmas).

      Fish and vegitables might be other reason of our living long. ^^);

    6. Shin-san you crack me up with your descriptions of this Japanese tradition.

    7. Stella Maris-san,
      My English dictionary says both good thing and bad thing about "crack up". ^^);
      I wonder if you are in good emotion or bad now...
      If you are feeling bad about the description, I am so sorry about that..^^);

    8. Haha, she means it makes her laugh!

      I don't know any other Japanese person who is so open about these things myself so I laugh too!

      Fragille looks really perfect, seems these elbow joints were a great success. Exactly as I expected from you Boss!

    9. eeeps, Mr. artist, you tempt us with such a doll! She's so sassy :D
      Even with braids, She is still so very aluring. And sassy!
      elbow joints==more posable than double jointed ones ^^

      lol, yes if a police man sees 20 drunkards dancing and talking on the street, they would round them all up for questioning... In Canada.
      I think, as most of the time the holidays is spent eating dinner with the family, and some rare occasions with friends.
      boring here>_<

    10. Ohoo, babytarragon-san, thank you for your explanation. ^^

      I think we are ashamed of these habbits in the deep part of our mind... ^^);;;
      I believe you would have put it in your "What I do not miss in Tokyo" list, if you really saw them. ^^):

      Thank you again for your supporting me. ^^)y

    11. 7777777luck-san,
      Th,,thank you for watching her, and sorry for being sassy. ^^);;;
      Yes, as I believed for long, single joint is more posable, especially from the point of stability and stoppablility! ^^)y

      I stayed in CANADA ten weeks in all in my life. I was always afraid of making me drunken out of hotel... ^^);

      On the other hand, Japan is very much strange country.
      Manga, Anime, dolls, lower sexial regulation, no military, no religion, or two religions (buddism and Shinto-ism).
      It is said, Japanese person is born as Shinto-ist, marries as (temporal) Chiristian in a charch, and dies as Buddist berried in a temple. ^^

    12. Heh! I think 777(etc)luck-san meant "sassy" as a compliment... it means Fragille is spirited and cute.

      Most of us here on DOA are not used to talking to non-native speakers, and we tend to speak too idiomatically. It causes a lot of confusion!!!

      Fragille is really dainty and graceful, Shin-san! I hope she brings you great success!

      Raven

      *edit* As for Japan's freedoms, it's good! Japan has not had to labor under 5000+ years of monotheism! ^_~

    13. ravendolls-san,
      Thank you for your comment on both language and Fragille.
      O..,Ohoo,yes... Double opposite meanings might be the last barrier for me to be close to native English handler. ^^);
      I think Japan's malti-religion could be a reaction to forced Shinto-ism by the Japanese militaly before the end of World war II..

    14. oops, sorry about that. I sometimes make mistakes in the meanings..
      Yes, ravendolls is right ^_^ I LOVE how Fragille is projecting herself. Spirited and cute, yep yep :D:D

      Shin-san, You have been in Canada?? Where?
      Japan is so far away. It's hard to sit through a day of plane ride, isn't it? ^_^
      haha, your description of Japan is critical and funny. Maybe those are the reaons for the amazing advances in technology and business? lol^^

      (In Japan one goes through three separate religions? wow. cool!)

    15. 7777777luck-san,
      Ooo,Thank you for loving Fragille. ^^
      I went to CANADA as am engineer around ten years ago.
      It was 4weeks on Feb, 2weeks on April, 2weeks on June, and 2 weeks on August.
      Working place was in Armstrong, and the hotel was in Vernon.

      Japanese salarey workers are forced to work hard, for the advances.. ^^);
      That's why "forgetting this year's bad things party" exists!!
      The main turget of the grumblings is about their companys and BOSSes, ^^);
      So most of such parties are held by company's colleages. ^^);;;
      It's hard to get seat reservation of restrants or bars in this season because of such parties, getting reservation one month earlier.
      Others are held by good friends, where less grumblings are heard. ^^)y

    16. Shin-san, you are so expressive, I forget sometimes to be careful of idioms! It must be a great relief to do artistic work, as a change from being a "wage-slave", which is what we call it here (to work for someone else). I was a wage slave myself for more than 20 years, now I only work occasionally, I am a housewife with small children, after so many years of working in the film business, which is 90% incredibly hard work, and 10% creativity, and not enough compensation for the soul crushing hours and ridiculous work conditions.

    17. Oho, Stella Maris-san,
      I can understand your words very well.
      I am now wage-slave and doll-artist in the same day.
      Unfortunately doll artist can not allow himself to "eat" enough at all.
      On the other hand, it's true that wage-slaving allow me to develop ultimate doll like Fragille neglecting the time waisting long long production and the costs. ^^);
      It's also true that I am making dolls to show what human like doll can be in life, which I also dreamed of.

    18. Re-stringing her looks like it will be...fairly difficult, but, oh gosh, I cannot wait to get her in my hands. *_*
      She is beautiful and adorable and I am completely impressed by your work, Shin-san.

      Out of curiosity, will you have other head-sculpts available...? Maybe not right away, no, but eventually?

    19. Teru-san,
      Te-stringing is not so difficult I think. But it just needs a little bit of hang. ^^
      Shinydolls are wareing thick rubber strings, anyway.
      I am so happy if you enjoyed the process, and if you love Fragille.
      I am now making two heads which are sisters of present heads.
      I would like to make more heads which are original characters of Fragille.

    20. Thank you babytarragon-san, ^^
      Maybe HIKALI? Both Akali and Hikali means "light(ray)" in English. ^^
      I might make other head in several month time. I hope you love all of them. ^^
