1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. For some reason this reminds me of the Crayola crayon people, who used to call the color of a particular crayon "flesh" until it was pointed out to them that lots of kids who use crayons do not have pinky-peach-colored skin. They call that one "peach" now. =)

    2. This is a really interesting topic. When it comes to eyes I know i prefer seeing light eyes. It just seems more engaging in a doll and i think it photographs better than dark eyes. In real life i don't mind eye color, but in dolls i prefer light eyes. So i am not sure if it is about the western standard of beauty. I just think light eyes are more rare and have more depth.

    3. I agree!! dolls don't have to be realistic, imagine how boring would it be if they all were! I have realistic and fantasy looking dolls (blue/green hair or purple/pink eyes)

I have also met black kids with lights eyes and/or blonde hair/afro and most of them come from biracial families.

So, I find the black/dark skin color with light eyes the most beautiful look for me, this is why all my tan dolls have light eyes. This doll in particular was inspired by my childhood best friend, he had a blond afro, green eyes and dark skin, I was mesmerized by his looks. His dad was black and his mom was white:
