The Mini Centaur Thread

I got a pink mountain lion kitty-taur from Soom so I'm looking for ideas for clothes for her.

What does everyone dress their dolls in? I'm looking for non-tack clothes though maybe I will have to look at caparison to get the look i want.

Sometimes our dolls refuse to dress the way we wanted them too! lol My first doll, I was going to dress girly but when she got here she informed me she was an emo child and wanted to wear some darker colors. The kicker is I had bought a dollheart lucky bag and traded off the black jeans but had some girly clothes for her to wear.

@Chrystika both my centaurs are supposed to have uniforms, mainly b/c story-wise they are part of an army - ideally I'd also love to have some sort of armor for the horse parts, I'm just afraid of chipping the blushing xD

 

What a beautiful Luts centaur you have @Saba ! It's Bory, right? Also is that a real fiber tail he has?? Doesn't seem like the default translucent resin(plastic?) one.

 

Thank you ShaySugar! Yep, he's a Bory (Moonlit Song, human head). And yes, I made his fiber tail from a magnet, lots of hot glue and some weft stolen from a Capt'n Jack Sparrow wig

My Calvaethor dresses in very simple natural clothes or armor depending on the occasion XD;;; He's a farmer/botanist by day, black knight by night in a way.

Snowy your Yul looks really cool, you surely gave him unique centaur style! I can't wait to get my Boy Yul, whenever the seller will send it. Too bad he doesn't have the horns or the clothes. Have to come up something alternative.

Saba, seems like you're handy for making a tail like that yourself I will have to stick with the Luts tail since I don't have such skills, lol.

aww, I just noticed how 'skillfully' Boy Ai plays the Violin Gaiboiozz! Feels like it's so hard to get quality items for dolls. I don't get it why the stores sell them so rarely.

I originally wanted him as Fullset, cause I really liked what Luts did with him, but luckily decided against it, as I didn't feel quite 100 % alright with it. While waiting I had enough time to thinka bout what I wanted and when I made up my mind, my sewing machine aided in making what I wanted surprisingly easy.

Congrats on also getting a Yul. You might get lucky and someone will part with the original horns - or have a look at Soom parts, you might find something there. Also there are a lot good comissioners who'd be able to make whatever horns you want for him. I'm sure you'll think of something in terms of clothes as well ^^

Not the best picture, but I finally have display cabinets for all of my dolls and today I got the 'interior decorating' for my centaurs' cabinet done.

 

Snowy I love your boy's outfit, especially like the way you have draped at the front, for some reason I feel my centaur is a bit exposed when this bit is showing^^; even though it is technically his chest!
Roterwolkenvogel I like your cabinet decorations, to me it is very romantic^^ your centaurs look quite at home.

Thanks snowy! my Yul will be here any time now soon, I'm so exited! Hopefully someone will part with the outfit. But in the meanwhile I'll try the quino kdf outfit on him since I bought it last xmas time even if the doll himself wasn't my taste.

It takes confidence and courage to go with whole own design style so I say you did well with your Yul I on other hand will stay with original designs lol

@ShaySugar: Well, tops shouldn't be a problem at all, I think, nor any centaur outfits from Luts, as they all have the same built.

Thanks :3 I'd like to claim that it was Maloki who wanted to do 'his own thing' XD I'd have probably prefered to spend the money and not have this much work with him... but it worked out and I really love the result

Ai Hates Having People Trying To Ride Him. He Says No Self Respecting Unitaur Would Ever Allow Such A Thing. But I Caught Him Playing With Yumi & Look At What I Snapped A Picture Of.........Ahuh No Self Respecting Unitaur He Says. I Guess He Is A Sucker For People Who Share His Love Of The Color Pink.
