Finally she is finished with wig and face and eyes.. But no clothes yet.

I finally got a decent photo of Rollo after a dollar store run for cheap Halloween props. : D
He also finally has antlers and I painted his hoof fur. \o/

My Yul is there. Love her. She poses really nicely. Better then Aehael. And she is much smaller

 

Guess I can post in here now that I have an incoming centaur body. I have a DC K-13 (Irma) body on order. The head will be my modded minifee shiwoo. And while she'll have a "horse" body, she's actually a Hound of Tindalos. I may mod toes/claws onto the hooves. We shall see when she finally gets here. She's in their new green skin.

@SteffiPuschel Woha, another girl for you! Congrats. I like the decent make-up you put on her and the lovely wig! (Is that a FMD one? I'm looking for a slightly different one in a color like that for one of my other dolls)

Do you have plans in regards to clothing?

I had Maloki model for a comission until yesterday. Today he got all dressed up in his own clothes and he definitly didn't miss the opportuniy to show off :3

@Snowy It only took a couple hours because of running back and forth to the dollar store for props.
I meant to take a photo of the whole thing but it sorta flopped over. I'll be setting up again after I get free time from my school.
It's pretty much, my mom's old card-making paper cutouts of little Halloween things like the spiderwebs and ghosts"boo!" etc, a big fuzzy brown blanket for the floor, dollar store yard props/items, a floral plastic black Halloween branch for a tree that his antlers are made from.
So, very cheap junk set up on a dinner table in our "craft room". xD
That first photo, is also heavily Photoshopped from an initially very orange photo using the data the camera spat out!

TL;DR: Spent $12 at the dollar store on props and a purple spiderweb table cloth at Walmart. The rest was already on hand or from my mom's older card-making projects. Desk lamp as light source at night in a dark room.

@SteffiPuschel Glad to hear your Yul arrived! I'd love to see photos of both of your dolls together!

@Wolfie Pie I think I've seen your mod thread about the doll you're talking about! Looking forward to seeing more of your centaur! : D

 

I got my own centaur in yesterday!! He's my first, and I was worried I wouldn't like him, but he grew on me in a very short time period. He is a Luts Yul Satyros in tan skin with a brown centaur body.


@Snowy I love how well coordinated his entire look is! And your picture made me realize I photographed my guy's horns the wrong way around, oops xD

I really like his orange hair. Kinda fitting, cause with the halloween themed pic(s) it makes me think of a pumpkin ;P

Also, I don't think you put on the horns wrong. If that's how you like them, that's how he has them. :3 And that's that.

As his name suggests, he's a bit inspired by 'Loki' (the one from Marvel), so that's where the black-green color combination comes from. Everything else is his big ego ;P (and maybe my addiction to small detail stuff)


@SteffiPuschel Thank you. I acutally had the wig custom-color-mixed by FMD, because I couldn't find any even closely resembling what I wanted.

 

Thanks @Snowy !! I wasn't sure about it either at first, but it's grown on me quite quickly. Feel I can do more with this than with the white centaur body. Ah and yeah you're right about the horns, but when I put them on I felt it was "off" and that I liked them better on company photos. When I actually -looked- at a photo I realized I'd just switched them around xDD

Oh yeah!! I just love how everything goes so well together, I really hope I can achieve a good look for my guy too.

 

@MisMantis Do you have plan for the outfit?

And good things the magnet horns can be switched around easily, no? ;P

And... I wouldn't mind seeing more of your Yul :3 The guy got a name yet?

I recently acquired a pink Soom Shale/Adamelli light centaur. I've been ogling these guys for FOREVER, I finally caved and am soooo excited to finally join the quadruped club! x'D

I have noticed that one of the back legs' "knee"-ish joint fits perfectly, and the other one...doesn't really fit quite right, not so much...and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this too? I'm not sure if I should consider modding it slightly to fit better, or just get used to it (as if posing a doll with this many limbs isn't enough to "get used to", lol).

I sold the human torso parts & head, and have plans to make a hybrid with a DZ Benjamin head. Still not 100% sure what I want for the torso, but current contenders are slim fellows (Doll Chateau or maybe MNF Moe boy?).

 

@Eldurwen -- I bought the Soom Shale/Adamelli Christmas kit and it had all kinds of stuff that needed fixing--mostly super-bad seams (I usually don't mind seams, but these were just too big to ignore). And the torso didn't fit well into the horse body, so I had to do a lot of sanding on the human body (horse body was too difficult to sand). I don't really notice a problem with the back leg joint... but at that point, I was just glad he could even be assembled!

 

This is exactly how my Shale/Adamelli was as well, as I also got a Christmas Kit. There was even like, some molding flash or whatever, resin flakes, still inside of the channels that I had to punch out with a chopstick before elastic would go through the arms, and on the forearm by the wrist the resin has little pits and isn't like, smooth like the end would normally be? I'd have to check again.
The seams on the torso are kinda big, but I'm far too lazy to do anything about it, I blushed his parts the day I got him anyways and the color is still holding strong and not very chipped so I probalby won't ever mess with it.

But I don't think I have any issues with the back knees on mine.

Welcome to the club! It's always great to see more centaurs! If I had a good source of income to pay for this hobby other than art commissions, I'd probably have at least 4 centaurs by now.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the body though!
