1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

The One. (AKA it just clicked!)

    1. I'd have to say my first doll is my absolute favorite. :) When I first saw him online I KNEW he was for me.

I love him so much, I get very over-protective of him when people say "He's creepy" or "That's a waste of money" or if people not in the doll hobby try to touch him or screw around with him. I think I'd be absolutely heartbroken if he was stolen or lost.

It's strange because I don't feel exactly this way about my other boy or dolls on my wishlist...:sweat

Edit: He's a Dollmore kid Boy Sona <3

    2. For me, it actually happened twice. One was my Hatter (MSD sized Johnny Depp minimee.) I was part of the initial group order that designed his head so I already had one...but when I saw that the group leader was selling her completed doll with a body and clothes in the marketplace, I snatched him right up and sold mine. The styling and faceup was just absolute perfection for my vision of him, so I thought, hey, why reinvent the wheel?

The other one was a heavily clockwork modded AOD Rao head in the marketplace (yes, my eureka moments always seem to come in the DoA marketplace.) She was just purely amazing and her mods (done by the very talented Curiouscourtships) were a combination of clock and musicbox parts...how unique and romantic, lending itself to a fabulous character right off the bat!

    3. Yep, my Resinsoul Wu. My first two dolls had come and gone, and I had two more girls at home, and honestly I was beginning to doubt I'd ever find the doll that would just steal my heart and then BOOM...there he was! I have five resins now but he is still my favorite. Every time I look at him I just melt...I'm a grown woman but he makes me squeeee like a little girl lol.

    4. Fairyland Pukifee Luna as Alice Fullset, she was already sold out at Fairyland when I discovered her, but I had to have her. This would be my second doll at the time, I already had a 5stardoll Emma, but we just didn't click. And Luna was just awesome and I had to have her. I got the last one in stock at DDE! I knew that I would never be able to find it again, so I was totally like click buy. And she was mine!

    5. I adored Chaeri from the moment I brought her into the house, but she didn't become the One True Doll™ until I got her a new head and replaced her eyes. Then she was perfect, and remains so to this day. I have been in love with her for over a year now, with no signs of slowing down or losing interest. For me, trust me, that's some kind of record. My beloved calls me a butterfly for a reason.

    6. That happened with my first Zaoll girl.
I should have seen it coming since Zaolls were the first sculpt I learned to reconize. I wasn't even supposed to get a Zaoll, I had been saving for an Iplehouse Soo, but I miscalculated my funds and ended up about a hundred short, that was after I had given up on getting a faceup, and clothes, and realskin, and any sort of extra I had orginally wanted and as a result was feeling very frustrated and overwhelmed. The same night I realized I still couldn't afford Soo, Dollmore sent me an email about free shipping. Before I knew what I had done a dreaming luv zaoll had made her way into my shopping cart. I spent the whole wait worried that I had made a huge mistake using my soo funds, and that I was going to hate her.

Well, I now have three zaolls and still no Soo, so I guess we know how I feel about my zaoll girl now ;)

    7. My Angel of Dream boy was one of those moments. I don't remember why I was on the Alice's Collections website, but I was there. I went down the list looking for an MSD boy that struck my fancy, and I found Tao Hua Dao (Huandao on AC's website). His sweet smile jived with the character I was looking to shell, and eventually I ordered him. I love my Johnny!

    8. I have two like that. Fawn, my DollsTown Seola, who I bought from a friend. She was my first BJD and even more amazing in real life than in photos. She doesn't get as much camera time as some of my other dolls, but I love her and I'll never sell her.

The other one is the doll in my avatar pic - the Lady Madrigal Baker, aka Maddy. She's a BW PKF Mio that was in-stock at DDE. I kept going back and looking and finally decided that if she was still there after next payday, I'd buy her. She was and I did. Her wig and eyes were spares I had in my stash - she was such an impulse buy that I had almost nothing for her - but they were perfect. I also didn't have a character for her until I woke up at three in the morning the day after she arrived and realized "Duh! She's Maddy!" My namesake character, a Time Lord from my fanfic-writing days who traveled with the fourth Doctor, finally "brought to life," so to speak. Best impulse purchase ever!

    9. Yup.

My Little Rebel Andre on Luts Senior Delf body. I had Justin shelled for over two years, but it didn't feel quite right. When I saw the 'in progress' pictures of the Andre sculpt, even before he was cast, I just KNEW he should be Justin. Reshelled him, and he's absolutely perfect.

    10. Leonard...always Iplehouse Leonard. I don't know what it is about that boy, but from the moment I saw him, I had to have him. And now that I do, I love him so much that I've actually considered getting another one in a different resin color and with a different look.
