1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

The use of the term "used" in sales

May 2, 2010

    1. Gotta agree with you guys, the 'used' term is a bit vague. If I were to sale items I would usually describe the condition and be anal about the detail.

    2. I think it's simply the fact if it has been used by seller, they feel obligated to say that so if anything is amiss on item it's the fact they say used we can't be holding them accountable. Where as new means it's only been out of package for photos. So it should be pristine and we can also better calculate what we are paying. If Dollmore sells a shirt for $10 and someone has that same shirt never been out of package for $8 we know that is a great deal, we saved on money as well as time. But if they have an outfit from say Volks brand new still in package and it's no longer for sale and when it was it was $100 and the seller wants $125 we at least can say well it is more then Volks sold it, but this is a rare chance to get it still new and mint condition we can at least know we can ask if we can get free shipping. I feel it is necessary to use the word used at times. I also will date the doll I am selling esp if I am first owner. People looking for bodies for a head that is yellowing needs that info. Of course my Shigure is almost 3 years old and he has a yellowing face but his body is like new. So faces can be yellowed and bodies not. Clothes are the best protectors. Anyway used in this hobby isn't like cars, it's more like houses. Old with charecter.

    3. I prefer the term "Pre-Loved".

    4. LOL I like that XD <3
