1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things That You'd Never Do Again

Jun 15, 2013

    1. Never buying a white skin doll again. So much staining, and his wig and clothes are all black. It was a bad move for a first doll I didn't know how to take care of. :(

    2. No more tiny-headed BJDs for me. I guess they are technically more realistic in proportion, but I just tend to like dolls with big noggins, so I'm inevitably disappointed.

    3. Some of these are very anecdotal 8)

I will never buy cheapy items "just to have a ..." again. I've learned that in the end, I've cycled through everything that I bought out of convenience or stinginess. Quality is worth the price!

    4. I haven't been in the hobby for long but already learned some things:
      1. Be extremely careful when handling Brush Cleaner. I use it to remove faceup and it works great (biological, solvent-free brush cleaner) BUT it's also really great at removing any other kind of color >.< !
        1. I was cleaning my practice head with a soft toothbrush but had some brush cleaner on my hand which rubbed of the color on the toothbrush and ended up on my doll's headcap :o - luckily I was able to remove it again
        2. Another time I placed the brush cleaner in the bathroom on a painted, wooden counter while removing body blushing. Needless to say, the brush cleaner leaked a bit and ruined the paint on the counter xD
        3. I was handling my respirator that has a huge, blue silikon piece while having brush cleaner on my cottom gloves... It stained my gloves without me noticing (dark blue - I must be blind lol), and then I touched my doll's head for continuing her faceup, stained her horribly and uh well had to start all over again because I had to clean the entire head again *_*
      2. I wont buy a lambskin fur wig again for a Yo-SD sized doll ~_~ - it looks great on MSD dolls but way too poofy on Yo-SD. Luckily this wig also fits small MSD sized heads, so at least it wasn't all for nothing
      3. Buy shoes, wigs or outfits without thoroughly comparing the measurements with the target doll. I have a beautiful pair of Doll Chateau MSD shoes, that won't fit on my bodies, my last hope is, it will fit an incoming Dollzone girl body xD ...
Good luck to everyone and thank you so much - I also learned a lot from this thread !

    5. I would never ever EVER use pink nail polish remover to remove a faceup again. That thing hurts the sculpt. I will start using a brush cleaner...it would be more affective and less harmful for my dolly
