1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

TinyBear 10inch Moona/Mina and Bracken discussion part 1

Jun 25, 2008

    1. She is here! My little Twinkle. Her hair is incredible and she is beautiful.:D

But standing is very very hard for her.:sweat So I ordered a standard for her.

    2. What colour is Twinkle? And her hair?

    3. I'll take pictures later, when my batteries are replaced. I just found out they are dead.:doh

She is a normal color, I got Twinkle with reddish brown wig with green tips. The wig is so soft! :aheartbea

    4. Yes, the wigs are so soft, aren't they? That was the first thing I noticed about mine! I have tiny Moona (normal skin, blonde with green tips wig) and now I want a big Moona too :aheartbea
      Looking forward to your pictures!

    5. Woohoo! Guess who I gots in the mail today?! My Moona! She's just gorgeous, thankyou Carrie so much! She feels so smooth and has such character and beauty to her. I will take piccies later, have to rush off to the doctors because I burnt the top of my foot with hot water. *doh* *lol*

    6. If you reinforce her legs with craft store pipe cleaner, or the covered wire that holds toys in their boxes she will stand much better.

    7. I got a new dress for Umoja in the mail today...now I just need HER.

    8. I just had an absolute ball taking pics of Simbelmyne and I set up a Flickr account. Carrie she really is so gorgeous, thankyou so much!

      Here's my fave pic:

      luv MOP...

    9. I love the colour of her hair.

    10. I had a large Moona and found standing her almost impossible, however, I have seen since then people get great success with tightening and hot glueing her

    11. Mine can't stand by herself, I spent all my time keeping her arms from slapping herself in her face and her knees from bending upwards! *lol*

    12. I traded mine on, not just cos of the standing issues, but she was a ooak and I felt limited by that somehow. However I've regretted it ever since and I am hoping to get a large Mina and learn how to hot glue her joints and wire her etc!!

    13. Ahh I'd never thought about that (feeling limited by someone else's doll design). Makes sense though. Since seeing Carrie's latest full set Mitzy I keep thinking I wouldn't mind one of her OOAK dolls in the future perhaps with one of the new sculpts she's thinking of bringing out. (Way in the future probably).

But then I start thinking about what colours I'd want and the wig, eyes, etc and I wonder if I'm too much of a control freak to have someone else do the designing! *lol*

I'm a total noob to BJD's so the thought of just changing my girl's eyes terrifies me, let alone going near her with a glue gun! *lol*

    14. Kaye I can relate to that , I had a white Unoa once ..and I was so intimidated by her ..I was sacred to touch her ....I sold her in the end and got a normal Sist ...I am much happier with her

the new girls are all strung much tighter ...and I wire them ..
they are top heavy ..I can get them to stand ...but use stands just in case
:( My Kayz elf just fell off the shelf and broke her ear off ...In not letting that happen again

Me thinks I will have to do a tutorial on glue suedeing ...its dead easy ..and fast ...

MOP ...hope your foots Ok ...your girl looks lovely

If you have a Flikr account please post pictures on the Moona group
its a grea way of shareing pictures ...

      http://www.flickr.com/groups/moona/

there has never been much in the way of chatting there ..but you can if you want

    15. Oh no, Carrie, I hope you can do an invisible repair on her :(

A glue tutorial would be great, as it is scary the thought, especially on smaller dolls. I can't wait to see Mina in light tan, that's the one I think I'll want when I see her

Motherofpearlz - I'm only just starting to change eyes etc, it is scary at first isn't it?!! But yes, I have lots of ideas and would like to decorate my own Moona as fairylike. If only I had an unlimited pot of money *_*

    16. Stella Maris, Tiny bear already wired her for me, even tough I didn't ask for it. :o:aheartbea That was awesome to find out.

My boyfriend has better luck with making her stand, even then she is too fragile to stay that way for a long time.

I found out she was Scottish. I put tartan on her and she looked so good. :D So now I'm making her a little kilt.

Pictures might be up later when/if I can get some batteries. :sweat

    17. Oh yes, a tutorial would be great.
I'd read about posing issues before and didn't care too much. But that was then when I thought I could live with just a pair of elves. And this is now when I know I want to have them all and do so much with them :fangirl: They are taking over my life

    18. I put a pic up in the comparison thread of Moona next to my Pullip and Dal so you can see if their clothes would fit her.

Carrie: Will add Simbelmyne to your Moona group, am still fumbling around figuring out how to use everything! *lol*
My foot's infected but I'll be fine when my antibiotics take hold. Now if I can just stop my 10 month old son Elijah from standing on it!

Glue suedeing? The mind boggles, I have no idea. A tutorial would be great though!

Kayjay: An unlimited pot of money would be great, count me in! *lol* My girl is definitely elf like but I didn't have any elf like clothes so she veered towards more vintage sort of stuff. Robbed the poor Pullips blind she did. I was going to take pics outside but we had a lot of smoke blow over from all the bushfires today so it was very unpleasant to be outside at all. Not that anything is green anyway at the moment.

    19. Rats Rats Rats ...first time Im away from the house for Months ...and I missed the delivery!
I havent had my hair cut since October ..so as my wigs look better than my own hair ..I took a visit to the hairdresser ..and missed them !

I have already phoned ..and they will be back tommorow ...sigh
its not been my day today ...
Im off down the shed now to play

    20. Doh I hate that when it happens! Still I hope you enjoyed having something done for yourself.
I added 3 Moona pics to your group Carrie ;)
