1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. TinyBear 10inch Moona/Mina and Bracken discussion part 1

Jun 25, 2008

    1. :fangirl::D ooh ooh I can hardly wait *goes and gets snacks and such, sits down and camps out thread*

    2. Ooh, do you mind if I join you? I've just made a batch of biscotti that I can share... :)

    3. OMGosh!!! I'm so excited! I absolutely can't wait to see her. :aheartbea

    4. Oh I love Biscotti ..my Mum makes them ...Every Wednesday we have Watercolours and Biscotti night LOL

    5. ICanStopAnyTimeIWant not at all, the more the merrier hun...ooh biscotti, I'd best get some coffee on then ;)

    6. Can't wait too see the new Mina also!:aheartbea

OMG... so excited! I finally took the plunge and adopted a large Moona.:fangirl:

    7. :D you too? Greatstuff!! What colour you getting??

    8. She's the light tan. I've been holding back for a while now - kicks the Canadian dollar:x - but couldn't stand it any longer. She will be my first tan... such a pretty suntanned look. I wanted another coloured resin, besides ns and pink. It was a difficult choice! The lilac is very pretty too!:aheartbea

    9. The light tan is a delicious colour, kind of a cross between a milky coffee and caramel, you'll love it!

I couldn't decide between the tan and the lilac either lol, but in the end I decided to go for that lovely lilac.

    10. I was so glad to head you decided on the lilac Moona. Ever since those really nice pictures Tinybear took, I was like:" Why doesn't anyone want her? She is gorgeous!" :D But now she is getting a home!

I'm making a sunflower garment for Twinkle. Pictures will be made when it is ready. I don't have any patterns so it is a little bit fiddling and finding out what works and what doesn't work. XD

    11. Thanks hun, I know it's something I don't understand too, I mean the lilac is such a gorgeous shade but I suppose it does need a lot of thought when it comes to deciding what colours to dress the doll in. Perhaps that's what puts people off..*shrugs*..I don't know.
I've never been one for develop character first then try to find doll to fit it as to me that is asking for trouble as well as the cost factor!!
Nah...I'm more see doll I like and purchase doll, think of ideas for doll while waiting, doll arrives, doll gives that "I'm not wearing that" look and suddenly develops 80 flailing limbs as I frantically try to dress it, doll wins battle, I give up, throw ideas down the toilet and stumble along blindly from there on making it up as I go along!

Sounds wonderful, can't wait to see the finished result :)

    12. Oh, I'm sure there'll be lots of colour choices of wardrobe for your lilac girl :aheartbea... but you're right, not everything would suit. I must admit, so far I've not been very adventurous with the coloured resins... always wondering if I'll actually like it when I see it in person - very slow and indecisive!
I never have any particular character in mind when I buy a doll. I just become obsessed with a sculpt ... and if the obsession overcomes me, I buy her. Then I have to get to know the doll, as she only becomes more of herself. I'll never understand how one sculpt can have so many different personalities ... whether it comes from the original artist, or from oneself?:?

That sounds really cute!:chocoheart I'd love to see it when you've finished. I've read that large Moona can wear Blythe sized clothes ... I found some free Blythe sewing patterns online, so will try making a dress - so she'll have something to wear when she arrives. I hope it fits.

    13. :fangirl: :D

I got my Lilac Moona this morning! Leap out of bed, tripping over the dogs, knocked over my hubby's bike which sits inside the front door in a mad scramble to get to the door when the postie arrived!!
Poor guy must have got the fright of his life when this crazy woman in tartan pjs and 'just out of bed' (not in the sexy way) hair snatched the parcel from him...lmao

I'm so delighted with her! Where do I begin?! First I will say that I can't believe I've taken this long to hold one of these beauties, they just feel and look so right, not even remotely fragile, delicate yes but not fragile.

She has such a wistful and serene expression on her face, like she's daydreaming about something.

Her hair is a gorgeous mane of the most delicate pale silvery lilac (I didn't go for the full set as she's going to be dressed in light flowly things).

The lilac resin itself is a wonderful shade! It's more grey than purple but a soft grey not a cold harsh colour at all. There's just enough lilac in there to give it the warmth it needs.

Most of Carrie's pictures do capture the colour pretty closely, and yes the resin shade has enough depth to make a drow/half-drow character work well!!

      I love her to bits!!!!

    14. Good Good ...glad your happy

I rather fancy a lilac Bracken ..a large one lol ...
Im just waiting now ...waiting for stock ..waiting for the first sculpts to come back of Mina ...
Im as the NEC all next weekend ...

its like drawing in a deep breath and holding it ...everything is just about to happen!

    15. Yes, yes! A lilac Bracken in large, please! Lady Fern is in need of a gentleman caller, either a lovely brown or lilac would be perfect.

She doesn't seem to take to this fellow quite so well. :)

I gave her a face up using the Bobobie one as the base (it makes a great starting point) but me being me I rushed it a bit and the lip gloss is a bit uneven.
The actual colours of her face up lie in between the non flash picture and the flash picture.
The lovely green socks are blythe ones from Sugarblocks on Etsy!!

    17. She is soooooo beautiful...I almost adopted her...but I'm glad you did...you've done much better with her than I could!

    18. Blod, she is stunning, I love her faceup :aheartbea

    19. She is a real beauty, Blodeuwedd! You could always go with purple flower names like: Viola, Violetta, Aster, Gentian, Jacaranda or Lupine.

    20. OMGosh, she is so pretty! I love her faceup.
