1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Super cool!

    2. Philip looks really adorable all done up.

    3. And the kids have just gone up for PO. $760 sans PP fees. Ouch! But, if you are determined, they are here.

      Order Philip

    4. Oh! The sister's smiling face is just my sort of sculpt... but no. No dolly spending at the moment.

      Teddy

    5. LOL. Go on, Teddy! I am getting Philip and we could get them together at a meet.

    6. If only available funds would allow it!

      Teddy
(I booked for the last meet then missed it due to the stinking cold I picked up over Christmas)

    7. I didn't make it either, due to the winter mehs. Hopefully Feb.

It is a lot of money, but Russian dolls can be. It isn't because they are more expensive to make over there, as some Russian artists who get theirs cast at the same place (StarDoll) sell them for reasonably prices (eg aGatti). However, it might be a product of how dolls are viewed in Russia. So, time to decide whether I can really splash that kind of cash without hating the thing when it comes in. It has happened before and I have sold an over-priced doll as soon as it came in, as the only thing I could think of when I looked at it was the huge pile of bank notes it cost. So, it is decision time.

    8. Good luck with the decision.

I'm lucky - once the payment is made I pretty much forget how much it was. Usually before the doll arrives, especially if there's a long wait between paying and shipping.

    9. I love my cats and these children are similar in size to the Dollshe children. But your comment MadamMauMau, about waiting and when the dolls arrive - no longer wishing them has just happened to me with the Dollshe children. Now I am trying to be more thoughtful about "Oh, I want that" purchases. :ablink:

    10. Awesome thread! Her creations are simply awesome! I could never hope to get one but at least i could admire photos:)

    11. I like the dollshe children a lot, and the fashion-sizerd versions too (allthough that size of doll never seems stay with me).

      Teddy

    12. And I did it. I got a Philip and what a cutey! I have such plans for him! I have been down with a lurgy for weeks and got fed up of waiting to feel better to have a go, so did a rough wig and started a faceup. Both will change once I have a thinking head on. But have a photo for now, in celebration of his arrival.

    13. Theodore is amazing, Mau! :aheartbea He looks so real to me.

    14. It is a wonderful sculpt. I am going to get to work with some texturing and build up that faceup a bit and hopefully do him full justice.

      Now to find clothes...

    15. @MadamMauMau Ah, Phillip looks so sad but so handsome. I love his wig and clothes. Did you make the wig for him? Great photo too. :thumbup

    16. @MadamMauMau Philip is gorgeous! Congratulations! Looking forward for his new pictures!

    17. @jo1961 I did make the wig. It didn't turn out as I wanted, as my head is rather swimming with fever, but it covers his head and I have enough fibre to do it again. The clothes are opportunistic finds from my action figure and Chicline clothes boxes. I will need to invest some time finding him proper stuff.

@Lino4ka Thank you. I am very pleased with my little Theodore.

    18. Oh he is just adorable!

    19. Just started watching this thread - really love these sculpts; they're so unique and expressive. The Sphinx is definitely going on my wishlist. Does anyone know if it's likely to be released again?

Edit: Oh, it's open for order now. Not sure I can justify buying it at the moment though. Here's hoping it will still be available for a while.

    20. My Sphinx arrived today and I could not be more over the moon. She's gorgeous!

She's strung so tight, it's hard to pose her, so I'll restring her once I go out and get some new elastic.
