1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

  1. Young boy type (under 13 y.o. body sculpt - thin and less muscular)

  2. General teenage type (standard SD13 type)

  4. Sport teenage type with muscles (IH JID, etc)

  6. Senior type (obvious angular jaw line, veins, etc...)

  7. Matured, larger with muscles type (IOS Class 80 etc...)

  8. Others

Multiple votes are allowed.
Results are only viewable after voting.
    1. I voted for Androgynous type (teenage/young man with thin, fragile, a bit feminine sculpt) because in both boys and girls (though boys especially) I love the long, lanky asthetic. Super exaggerated proportions are fascinating to me!

:D DC has some of the most gorgeous bodies...I seriously must stop admiring them from afar and buy one already.

    2. I couldn't settle on just one... My "big guys" are actually a mix. The superhero EID has obvious muscles and a very mature body, but a fairly gentle face (He's an Akando-), my model EID has a mature face but a lighter body (He's a Tedros-), my DC Dolores is very thin and gangly, with a fairly androgenous face and my SD17 Alain is a young guy.

    3. I could not really choose one since there are a wide variety I would like to own. Most of my characters fit in the young man category, but I have characters that are older and some that are younger. I would definitely love to own a lot of big muscle guys -I have one now- but staying in the category I fit into now and even going smaller sounds nice too. In conclusion, it really does not matter, I like them all. :)

    4. I really love the muscular/masculine type. I want my male to really look like a male especially because my female character is very feminine and I feel like she needs someone to watch out for her because she tends to find trouble without looking for it.

    5. Actually, I'm like you too... I love and want many types of dolls; from thin younger boy to matured man... Depends on which character I want them to be like... But now I'm quite interested in big boy with matured body (but not too old...). They look so good in formal suits :love

    6. Voted androgynous. I'm not physically ready for a muscular giant who weights more than a small dog. Maybe if I start lifting weights....

    7. I want more sculpts that look older... whether it be a thin/fragile type or a big muscular man I don't care... I have several characters in and over their mid-forties and I want to be able to shell them properly... U.U;

    8. I like the boys that I can actually tell are boys. It's pretty embarrassing when my boys are the prettier than real life women.

    9. I like the young man type best. If they have some defined muscle then that's even better! haha

    10. All of the above!

I have a whole battalion of SD13s, who are all slim healthy teenager types, and old YIDs, who are all very slender and willowy and mature-bodied. I have two muscular little SDCs, and two even more muscular JIDs. Two wispy-slender androgynous SDGraffitis. An even wispier Gem. A gangly Dollmore Adam. Three burly EIDs (and would have more if they weren't such a storage problem!), and two burly SIDs. I have a pair of lanky wiry teens-to-twenties SD17s and a Limhwa with almost the same build. An enormously tall and thin Mecha Angel merman, and a Super Gem incubus, who both have the most beautiful slender muscles... Ahh, there are others, and I love all of them.

Male dolls come in all shapes and sizes, and since human males come in all shapes and sizes too, I have yet to meet a doll shape I didn't like. :D

    11. I didn't place a vote, because all my dolls have different kinds of bodies. Some are the bodies they are meant for. (VOlks, my Peroth ect. )
      but the majority are hybrids.

Like head-molds. I try to find the body sculpt that best matches my vision of that character. and then having to factor in heights, resin color-matching and stuff like that, it's a rewarding challenge when I finally finish a doll's base.

Right now, I am looking for a male body that isn't the extremely lean runner look that seems to be the trend these days. He must be a happy middle between such a sharp angular sculpt and an Iplehouse superhero body in a 60-65cm package that matches Volks NS. Broad shoulders, strong arms a wide chest. A body sculpt that is muscular and looks 'full' and yet soft.

I'm constantly on the look out for new out for new doll companies who don't follow the current "lean, skinny, lanky runner" trend of male bodies.
Oh! Have I found one!? :D
      Doll Legend- 61cm boy body

      :)

    12. I voted "Matured, larger with muscles type" I currently have three (1 Idealian + 2 EID), with one on layaway (Idealian) and a whole army of them on my wishlist. (Mostly Iplehouse EID, Soom Idealian, MegaGem, a IOS Class80, Dollshe David).

    13. I only own one male doll, and I don't even have him yet-- a Souldoll Zenith Robb who I'm currently waiting for. In general though the male dolls I tend to admire most in others' collections are the Senior type--- larger bodies and very masculine faces. I really enjoy their contrast to the feminine beauty of my girl dolls. I have seen at least a couple of very good looking male dolls in every one of these categories, though. They all have their charms...

    14. I picked the youngest type but honestly anything from 13-30 appeals to me, I have a large range of dolls that I like. If the body and face are pretty and pose well then I'm sold!

    15. Definitely senior type and muscular type! I especially like faces that are more mature and not too "soft".

I don't own any boys yet, but maybe soon...

    16. I prefer the guys in between young man and senior, those that appear to be in mid/late 20's or early 30's. For body, it depends on the face and overall feeling of the doll's character.

    17. I like boys that look in their mid to late twenties. I like the more mature looking faces, though I don't necessarily need the bodies to be super buff. Sometimes I do, but that more depends on the character I'm going for.

    18. Young man type all the way <3
