It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Types of fashion you would like to see come out for bjd

Dec 18, 2014

    1. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?
      I haven't found many nerdy t-shirts, but I don't look that hard.

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?
Shoes that fit. I've bought some that don't fit.

What is the weirdest/ least common type of clothes you have already found?

I'm not sure. I'll be honest, I sew a lot, so I don't look very hard.

    2. I just want the msd boys to have as many options as msd girls. There's so much variety for msd girls but not as many for boys. There isnt much lolita/dandy for boys or mori/dark mori or just regular clothes. Though if I had to pick a style I'd want more dark mori/nature punk. It's not very common sadly

    3. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?

I have yet to see the cut out sweater that's in so many meme's. I want to see some for dolls. I'm crafty but have yet to master making any kind of sweater. If you dont know what I'm talking about it's like a regular sweater with a cut out just for cleavage.

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?
      oversized sweaters for 70cm boys
I have strange taste and very specific ideals for my dolls. *unless they are limited edition dolls* and I have looks i want them to emmulate and of course it's beyond my current level. And finding it is impossible it seems.

    4. I would also like to ask for more fantasy and period clothing - Georgian clothing in particular is hard to find, thank goodness Dollheart has a small range.

    5. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?

I know there is a lot of steampunk out there, but I do love it so I'd like to see more variety in that direction. Cosplay would also be welcome.
I love the idea of baroque collars and costumes and would like to purchase something like that.

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?

A nicely made duster in tiny sizes.

    6. Those are smaller than what I'm needing, and I want more Doc styles. I can be on the bus and there will be 8 different styles being worn (other than my own) and all in different colors and finishes. I want that kind of variety. Wishful dreaming, I know. ;__;

I also want worn looking band shirts from the 70s - 90s.

    7. I would really love to see doll clothes that corespond to the real-life fashion. How cool will that be! Most of the outfits that I see now are traditional or ordinary contemporary clothes. They lack creativity. I mean, it will be really amazing if the fashion of doll clothes get ahead of real life fashion. The most expensive ones I know are vintage styles. It is probably because of their intricacy. I like those laces and pattern, but it will be better to add more variation to it.

    8. I too would like to see more recent fashion inspired clothes. Some of the couture shows are amazing. Although yes it would be expensive. Ability to pick pieces rather than whole outfits would be great. Also sizing is a real issue.

    9. I would like to see more modern fashion trends, specifically clothing with prints that are in-scale with the dolls, and I'm not talking about hipster galaxy prints or pastel goth upside down cross prints I mean prints like what you see in fashion magazines, like this: http://www.teenvogue.com/images/prom/dresses/2013-01/kaleidoscope-prom-dresses-intro.jpg

And modern clubbing outfits full of sparkle and glamour, and glittery clutches and chunky modern jewelry @___@ also some lolita that's not ita as heck LOL; I mean I know I probably sound boring, but I do like to keep up with yearly fashion trends and with 360 days in a year and many trends continuing for at least several years in a row, you would think these bjd accessory/clothing companies (ie 9ninestyle) would come out with this stuff faster. I am the weirdo, I wear lolita and pastel goth and all that so idk I want to dress my dolls in something different than me D: and it's just what fits their characters :c

also more mermaid/ocean inspired clothing please--fish scale prints, mermaids printed on tees, anything! Just give me mermaids lol!

    10. I wish there was more cosplay clothing---especially for Rozen Maiden!!!!:D

    11. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?

Any sort of "futuristic" fashion (some overlap with modern couture). Any sort of sleek/body-fitting outfits made out of high-tech fabric. Anything with wiring and lights. That sort of thing. Also, utilitarian professional clothes. Jumpsuits, lab coats, clean suits, modern military uniforms of any sort, etc. There's a lot of old-timey historical-y stuff but not a whole lot of anything that resembles clothes after the 1910 that isn't jeans or T-shirts. >.>

I've also got some wishes for really bizarre combinations (futuristic/grunge-inspired mori girl stuff), but because of how left-field it is I don't expect to ever see anything remotely resembling what I'm looking for. :P

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?

Shoes is always the biggest issue for me. I can make clothes decently myself (even if it takes me forever), but I can't even design shoes to go with the outfit, let alone make them to my satisfaction. But they're always like cutie-pattoottie heels for female dolls (because ofc women don't wear flat shoes or anything), vaguely old-timey inspired pleather boots, vaguely skater-inspired shoes for men, and the occasional dressy boot. Dominatrix boots/high heels are the only type that occasionally work for what I'm looking for, but that's only one character out of many.

What is the weirdest/ least common type of clothes you have already found?

There used to be a company called AnotherSpace2 that made these weird-looking clothes that would have been perfect (at least some of the pieces) for one of my combo fashions. They had like, buckles in odd places and asymmetrical cuts and interesting use of pattern and fabric texture. I remember they made a lot of pilot caps and goggles, so that was kind of their thing. I don't even know what "style" I'd classify it as. Unfortunately it looks like they closed up shop and only a few pieces are left in Dollmore's stock. But, well, at least they did exist at one point in time.

    12. I'd like to see more variety for YoSD dolls, everything I've come across seems to be really cutesy apart from a couple of Dollheart outfits I've seen, and hardly anything for boys. And of couse echoing everyone else who wants to see more 40-70s style clothing. Especially swing dresses with the peter pan collars <3

    13. I've found that the selection for anything under SD is either totally casual or Lolita. I really want more modern fancy things like some people have already mentioned, and just more choices. Specifically I was looking for fancy men's shirts for one of my dolls, any formal wear that isn't in sets and fantasy clothes for MSD sizes.

    14. I'd like to see more variety in male MSD clothes. Baggy cargo pants, 90's skater shorts, just loose, casual gear. I have no problem finding the t-shirts and shoes for that look, but things like long sleeved shirts, long shorts and cut-off pants, and baggy pants or jeans are hard to find. And then of course, the chance of it fitting your particular sculpt is generally low.

    15. omg thiiiiiiis!!! Why does no one make these things D:

    16. I have been mulling over band shirts but likely no one is mass producing them because of copyright infringement. I don't really want to use a band's name or logo without permission and I suspect that is true for most designers.

    17. I would love to see more of the 1920 style dresses for slim msd sized girls.

    18. This may come off as weird, but I would love seeing female-themed clothes for male-sized SDs. Maybe I just haven't been in the hobby long enough to know, but if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be lovely

    19. So I ordered these boots from Alice when I was ordering a bunch of other stuff...
They are perfect!! The belt-thing is just wrapped around it, not attached in anyway (so now I have belts for my minis lol) and without it the boots are just what I wanted. I feel like I should have ordered 5 pairs XD

Anyone looking for combat or motorcycle style instead of goth, these are a good alternative.

    20. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?

      I second this!

I'd also like to see more sci-fi looking clothing. Not to mention fantasy and period clothing and accessories that aren't connected to limited dolls.

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?

I find it difficult to track down colored clothing and shoes for boy SDs. Black seems to be the norm, but black alone does not a varied wardrobe make!

What is the weirdest/ least common type of clothes you have already found?

I saw a purple pair of boots for a 70 cm boy the other day. First time I'd seen that. Was sad to see the same style was not for SD17, which is closer to my dolls' sizes. Not sure much else I've found would count as weird or least common, since lately I've been on the search for mostly contemporary clothing.
