1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Types of fashion you would like to see come out for bjd

Dec 18, 2014

    1. Are there any types of fashion that are not currently in the market that you would love to see?
Normal clothes for SD girls & guys that are not horrendously overpriced. T-Shirts w/the kind of logos I can get for myself. Gowns for the girls. Normal kid clothes for MSDs. Knits. Separates. Jackets (bomber jackets especially)

What is the piece of clothing you want that is hardest to find?
Accessories. I sew, therefore it is the things like shoes, HATS, belts, etc that I can't make that give me the most trouble.

What is the weirdest/ least common type of clothes you have already found?
Some costumes (I've an Aladdin one, a witch girl :D & an ancient Chinese) that were not made by companies :d

    2. I know what I'd love to see. Clothes like the those on Vikings. I can barely follow the storyline on the show because I'm so fascinated by the hairstyles and fashions. I am definitely going to be making my minis Viking inspired outfits and creating wigs inspired by the hair styles since I doubt there'll be anything made like I want. And even if there were I'm sure I wouldn't be able to afford them.

I also like contemporary outfits. I just bought the coolest jeans jacket by NineStyle for my minis.

Since I do a lot of sewing I'm very particular about the fabric and trimmings in the outfits I'm thinking about buying. I just won't spend $100 on an outfit made from cheap fabric from a pattern that has taken short cuts. If it doesn't feel good in my hands it's not something I'm interested in having. You can feel the quality in a garment.

I don't think of the clothes for my dolls as doll clothes. I think of them as miniature fashions. When I do that, my expectations rise and I find that I push myself harder to create something authentic no matter what the genre.

    3. Just generally I'd love to see more fairytale inspired outfits that are grown up but light rather than the mature dark versions that seem to be in vogue nowadays. I'm also always up for some more ancient/traditional outfits, such as kimonos or hanboks. I just love the look of all that lovely coloured material draped on a doll.
