1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

U-noa 1.5 Lusis and Sist pre-order info 2011

Jan 22, 2008

    1. My girl is from the last order period, and the seams were not that bad. There are a couple of chunky gates that need to be removed, and one in the thigh ball joint that needed some filing in order for the ball to snap onto the leg, but that was it. The rest of the seams were no worse than any other doll I have (Volks, DoD, Fairyland, Angel Region).

    2. hm..no news released from crescent about the pricing yet?.. damn i've been anxiously waiting since yesterday..:|

    3. hmm... Crescent has pushed back the opening of the preorder period.:huh?:
      still no updated info yet.

    4. They did not push back the date, the June 3 in the title of this thread refers to the Japanese pre-order dates. Dut they did note they would be adding info on the first and that was a few days ago....

    5. Hmm.. I see.
Oh well, now all we can do is wait..

    6. The order is in about 3 days and there aren't news regarding the price yet? How long are we suppose to wait to know such an important detail...? :|

    7. Are they usually that way? It's the first time I'm really following the pre-order and I wonder if it is something strange for them to have such a delay. They said we were going to have more info on the 1st, but still nothing.

    8. Sadly this is normal, Crescent is really last minute with u-noa orders sometime you won't hear anything about an order until days after it started in Japan.

    9. wait is the June 8th to June 23th a Crescent preorder? cause I didnt get any email from Crescent :S omg I hope I can manage to pull that money together somehow!
are we talking about $600 usd for one kit (including big bust and shipping) or would you save a bit more just in case?

    10. I guess that a kit with large bust would be around $550+shipping so $600 sounds like enough.

    11. oh well, i guess we only would only be getting the pricing information tomorrow when the order period opens:sigh

    12. I just checked the Crescent Shop site, still no word on the Unoa preorder-guess I will just have to be patient.

    13. Both kits are 515$, a lot cheaper than I thought~ *sigh*
(But with large bust (45$) that would be 560$)

    14. they say it may take up to Feb next year to send the kits out O__O whoa..

    15. Cheaper than you though...?! *_*

Well, now I know I won't have an Unoa. I wouldn't pay that amount of money for a doll who doesn't even come put together or have a basic face up.

    16. Pre-order is up, and I've ordered my Lusis :D

February 2010, huh? That's a while. But I prefer to see it as good preparation time. Time to collect all the supplies I need to blush and sand her.

    17. I really want to order a Lusis but I'm broke. D: How often do they usually do orders?

    18. Not often, which is why they are so expensive on the secondary market.

    19. Well I though it would be about 700$ with shipping fees. They seem get more and more expensive
      Not cheap, but affordable.

About once in year or two (for full kits), but you could buy a face-plate and headback and make hybrid or something. ...could be also cheaper

    20. The waiting times are getting longer, it's rather scary. Though I'm hoping they will be able to send out the kits by December latest (like the previous preorder). February is just hideous! I can't imagine waiting for a doll for more than 6 months. -shudders-

Thankfully, I managed to purchase a brand new kit (from the last preorder) on Y!J recently. I believe I paid an extra US$4 compared to the current preorder pricing and I can get her within a week (this is counting total INCLUDING deputy service fees).
There was a previous auction for a brand new Lusis kit with 2 extra faceplates (akubi and lusis wink), big bust part AND a pair of salute hands for just 50,010 yen! I've been beating myself up for getting the other instead, but I suppose it was fate. x_x

Peki: Ah, I used to ask myself that question too, when I was considering getting a second Unoa. (I got my first Unoa via preorder for US$445 with shipping in 2007) I was comparing with all the other slim msd's on the market and was just a little miffed at the pricing. Other companies even include glass eyes and assemble the dolls for less. However, for me, I like the Unoa's body structure, aesthetics and faceplates so much more than the other slim msd's around. The higher pricing is also due to the fact that the studio making these dolls aren't like big factories. Such a whopping price jump for this year because of the falling dollar rate also. D:

Anyway, I feel that the Unoa's are worth it because I'm in love with everything about them! I found it an adventure sanding some of my girl's seams and sawing away the resin gates (following the kit instructions) with a penknife. It was all fun. :3 I never had a figure kit before, and it's cool to me to assemble my own doll.
And to reduce the pain in my wallet, I tolerate and wait till pre orders to happen, or hunt for affordable kits all over. ;3

Lords know I've always been daydreaming that Alchemic Lab will be set up like the other doll companies, where I can easily just snap up some Unoa kits in my shopping cart any day of the year and receive them in less than a month. -sighs blissfully at such a thought- Even if pricing is still this much, I will still find it worthwhile. I'm blinded by Unoa love. 8- 8
