Unoa 2nd Mocha & Cream, floopy legs?

Feb 11, 2007

    1. Hello,

I just got my Unoa Mocha last week and she had very floppy legs from the hip. I restrung her but no way, her legs dance back and front from the hip. Is this generic for the doll or I have to strung her more? I did not dare to do it because I'm frightened of breaking the hooks from the knees.

      Thank you!

    2. The legs just move much more freely than most. It just takes a little getting used to. I wouldn't string her any tighter just for the reason you mentioned.

    3. Mine don't dance like that.. I only needed to shorten the string for the head/neck/arms. I doubled the string so there was actually 4? strings instead of two going through her thighs/hip?

once you give her pants or clothes I don't think it will be much of a problem for you though.

    4. yes, mine do the same thing, and i've strung her more tightly, and she is still like that. it is just the way her mold is. like someone said above, you just have to get used to it.

    5. Thank you girls. I feel relieved to hear that. I'm very happy about getting her :)

    6. Huh, that's weird. Maybe it's the hooks you used in the knees? I adjusted my wire hooks since they were getting in the way of the joint and now she's fine. ;)

    7. it is something about how the hips and thighs connect that causes the swinging, imo.

    8. Hi All - I got my Unoa from my friend who live in Japan. (Her name is KG) I love this doll so much and I like that she can wear some Tonner doll outfits or other 16" fashions. I had to restring my girl with a little thicker string. My girl can stand on her own. Plus I also made it so I can keep the head string in her body and still change out her heads by using a wire on long zip tie. I painted both heads and I cut out the little block that was behind the cloes mount head?? So I could put regular eyes in her. I hated the eye's that came with that head. Plus the eyes would never go straight they werre all weird like she was cross eyed. LOL
