Unoa hybrids? Other bodies that work with Unoa face plates (part 2)

My Unoa Sist is using a Buff headback and I added magnets to make her faceplates stay on better. She's on a minifee body and I sanded the neck a little to fit better into the headback, then made the neck hole itself smaller using Apoxie and now her head does not do that snapping around thing. I was finally able to string her properly and now she poses like a dream. I love her.
Worth noting, I did dye her faceplates to match the Minifee resin- they were much more pale and yellow before.

This is my Unoa hybrid, Bailey. She is still a WIP with her headplate going for a faceup soon. She has a buff headback and Dollndoll diamond body. She had her body restrung and sueded by Hellsing. I just love her so much

 

Anyone has tried unoa head on kid delf BOY body??
I always wanted lusis as a boy, and thinking about matching the head with kid delf boy body,
but I couldn't find pictures anywhere. (I also tried searching thread, but nothing..maybe I missed.)
I think I saw someone wrote unoa hybrid works with minifee boy body,
but kid delf boy body has thicker neck, so I'm wondering if it'll fit and how it'll look. :/
Please share your experience with me. Any pics or opinions are welcome.

 

I'm trying to figure out what my body options are if I want a "slim mini". Does anyone know if the DollnDoll Diamond bodies or the SoulKid bodies are slim minis?

 

Does anyone know if the face plates come in the same skin type when ordered separately from a kit? Are all parts now made in fresh skin only? I'm looking into buying a body and wonder if I should refer to fresh skin or not. (I don't know the difference either, have never seen in person or in pictures.) Someone said the resin type does not always match between kit and separately bought parts, but maybe that is just a batch colour difference?

 

Has anyone tried a Unoa head on a LoongSoul doll body or a WithDoll body? If so, I'd love to see pics. I'm wondering which resin colors will match Unoa best and how the necks fit.

I actually just tried my Sist faceplate with Amaeta headback on a Withdoll body this week. It's a brown tan body so I can't say anything about possible resin matches, but I can say the neck would have to be modded for the head to look right on it. It'll be too long otherwise if you ask me. But I think the Withdoll neck also looks a bit long because it's relatively thin.

Thanks, I saw her pic, but I can't figure out what the skintones are or if the head fits on the neck OK. I posted a comment on one of her pics a couple days ago, but she hasn't replied yet. If you talk to her, could you ask her for me?

 

Hey I saw your post yesterday, I was very sick for a long while sorry that I didnt reply. The skincolor is normal yellow skin and I bought the faceplate in 2012 also but I don't know exactly if it was before or after the resincolor update of SQ-lab. The neck of the loongsoul body is a bit wider then the headgap so a little modding is in order, not much I just sanded it down a little.

Has anybody made hybrids with Unoa 2nd face plates? I love the Cream and Chiffon face plates so much. I just read one comment in this thread that they are not easy to hybridise. Maybe someone has tried since then?

 

A couple pages back people were asking about the Pipos PO13 body, so here's some crappy pictures for you.


I really love this body actually. The knees aren't double jointed like i thought they were, but it still poses well.


As you can see, the resin match is not perfect. The body is slightly pinker than the face, but it's not really enough to bother me personally. I imagine with clothes it won't really be noticeable.


Here's one of the neck... gap... thing. I think the neck works fine for her, she can look up and down and her head doesn't flop.

All in all, yeah, i really like this body, and plan to keep her on it.

 

I have an hybrid with Pipos body too and it works great, yes! That body is really amazing, I love it.
I had many problems with resin match because my faceplate is very old, so I blushed the body. I'll post pictures lately.
The only issue with this body is that feet don't move very much, is it the same for you?

Yes, unfortunately... because that body is really amazing, can pose very well and is so harmonious I wish they made high heel feet...
