It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum. Update to the Terms of Service

    1. As you all know, DoA hosts one of the largest second-hand marketplaces for ball-jointed dolls and accessories. Because of this, our community is occasionally a target for dishonest people who see an opportunity to scam or defraud our members. This is a source of great stress to our staff (and no doubt our community) and we have taken as many steps as possible to provide the safest experience possible while keeping the Marketplaces fee-free and accessible to members from all over the world.

      One of our greatest frustrations is being unable to make information about fraudulent transactions public due to the wording of our Terms of Service.

      Effective immediately, we are updating our ToS. Please reference following post for the changes. (The changes are in bold red.)

      What does this mean? If you use the forum to engage in a fraudulent transaction, the forum staff reserves the right to post information such as your IP address, email address, and private information that you have furnished to the other party in your transaction. This information may include your Paypal address, country and city of residence [not full address], and other known internet alias(es). We may also furnish this information to other BJD forums so that they may protect their marketplaces as well.

      Obviously, this is for extreme cases only where we have concerns that a user is systematically scamming our community; a flakey transaction, item damaged or delayed in shipping, or item not exactly as described would not warrant this response. However, if we become aware of a user who is selling counterfeit items as the real thing, accepting payment for items that don't exist, or accepting customization commissions as a means of stealing items, we may choose to make this information public after a thorough investigation.

      It's a big change, and one that we wish that we didn't have to make.

      If this is not acceptable to you, then you may not use our Marketplaces.       By using the forum to conduct transactions, you are agreeing to this policy. As we said, this is effective immediately.

      If you do not wish to use our Marketplaces in light of this ToS change, please post in Ask the Moderators to ask the staff to remove your Marketplace-related threads. if you have any questions about this, please feel free to ask in this thread.

      DenofAngels is not responsible for any business or sales by members on the forum, found through links in posts or signatures or advertising banners, or suggested through Private Messages. It is up to the buyer and the seller to investigate the reputation of the other party and make their own determination. DenofAngels does not serve as any sort of arbitrator in disputes.
