    1. Hmm, since it seems that a couple of Volks dolls will be coming into my life soon, maybe I should work on getting down there at some point? :lol: Buy them some clothes and shoes. ~_~;;;

      So when's the first LA Dolpa gonna be? :lol: Dang, that would rock... Especially if they had school heads! XD We'd have a chance of getting them without paying scalper prices on Y!J. XD

    2. Ooh, you have a point!! School heads...sans mega high prices. That would be awesome. Then again School Head B isn't terribly expensive from what I've seen, and that's the one I'd be after. lol But hey, for everyone looking for an A head (which there are a lot lol) that would be amazing news.

    7. just fyi, for those who are curious,.. we did ask Volks about when and where the Volks store will be opening at IFDC in Vegas this past weekend... and they said that they still aren't completely sure when, so they couldn't tell us yet, and for us to just keep watching the website.

      Also, the newest issue of Haute Doll has an add from Volks stating the opening as "Sept" so considering, that now its Oct, we may have another delay, who knows.

      unfortunately we were too excited and forgot to ask about "registration" issues... sorry guys! *_* I'll try and email Volks and ask about that, hopefully I'll get a reply.

    8. I'm so excited I asked my Mummy if I could go to LA and get a really expensive doll for my birthday and she said yes. I hope they'll have sunlight skin avalible. Better start saving!

    11. I've been saving up money for the trip to LA, an FCS girl, and any cool stuff at the shop. Butttt... I have the feeling that my savings will be going towards the new Sweet Dream Mimi that will soon be released. :daisy

    12. They should be the same price -- it would be very unusual if they charge more for merchandise stateside.

      It won't really wind up being much cheaper, though, because tax in California is exhorbitant. (you'll save about $40 at most.)

    16. I nearly hit the roof when I read this. I'm much more used to the sales tax of 6.5% (North Carolina) and 5% (Virginia). And we thought NC was getting exorbant when it upped the tax from 6% to 6.5%. :oops:

    18. LOL Seriously. I'm unfortunately used to it as an everyday fact of life. On the other hand, it's very easy to calculate tip by doubling the tax in a restaurant :oops:

    20. To answer the question about FCS service, sort of

      It is hard for anyone to say they will, since we don't know where the store will actually be (Los Angeles is a very big place), what Volks will allow for the FCS service (I have heard they are not happy with people placing orders for others at Sato), and if anyone purchasing FCS through a service will be willing to pay a fee to the person ordering the FCS.

      I am sure when the time comes if someone is willing to help with FCS orders they will post about it.
