1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Volks CoA with Name On It?

Dec 29, 2023

    1. So I received my Volks SD Nico a few days ago and noticed my actual name is on the CoA. What's worse is I'm starting to regret my purchase and thinking of selling her.

I feel a little uncomfortable with the thought of someone buying something with my name on it and was wondering if it would be a bad idea to cross it out but keep all the other accurate information of the doll on it. I don't want to undermine the value of her or make buyers uncomfortable if I don't want to show the CoA.

Hopefully I can hear from other Volks owners.

    2. It's fine to black out or cut out your name from the CoA. Secondhand shops like Mandarake and Dollyteria often do this to protect the previous owners' privacy.

    3. Thank you!

    4. I've bought dolls with the first owner's name blacked out on the CoA. It's perfectly normal! That said, I know it's disappointing when a doll comes in and you feel regret more than love, so sorry about that. :(

    5. Yep... Blacking out your name is perfectly normal when selling on an FCS doll. No one will give that a second thought.

    6. Thank you. I know I was super bummed to finally get it and just feel like... I wasted my money? Disappointing but im sure it won't be the only time this happens. Luckily I bought a head and body that I know I've really wanted for a while so all I can do is look up. :3nodding:

    7. I’m the third owner of my favorite doll and she still has the original owner’s name on the COA lol. It’s just her first name though and it’s pretty common, so I guess that’s why she left it.

    8. If it had been just my first name I probably wouldn't have cared at all really, but it was actually both my first and last name.

    9. I always see it cut out of the COA these days. It won't hurt for resale.

    10. Personally, I wouldn’t be comfortable with that and would likely cross it out if I ever re sold the doll.
