Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     7. Okay so, I'm getting a Volks girl that is missing her ears. I live in Finland and not that many people here have Volks dolls yet have spare parts. Can they be ordered from Volks somehow besides alongside with a FCS order? My cat girl needs her cat ears. T__T

      You can only order more Msd optional ears along side a FCS msd order of a doll that uses optional ears. It would also have to be in the matching skintone of the doll ordered.

      You can find people selling optional Volks Msd ears in our marketplace and on Japanese Yahoo.

    9. Thanks ginarolo! I kinda figured that was the thing, never too easy dealing with Volks stuff. So I guess I'll just have to frequently check everywhere for cat ears in white skin. For emergency setup I'm just gonna make her some sort of ears, thank goodness I have silicone and resin ready from my other stuff but I'd rather have her original cat ears since I really like the shape of them.

      If I just ever had the weather and time to make molds and cast them, super humid out here... ;3;

      I don't remember if I mentioned in this thread that I got a second hand Mika last month as for a project doll. I'm turning her into a Hunter x Hunter Nanika. (If anyone recognizes the series, hands up!) She needs some sanding and lots of modding :3

    11. Zardi, I have put up a WTB thread now. Fingers crossed! Actually today I was playing with some epoxy and made some sort of ear/horn thingies. I'd like them to use the ear hole tubes besides her head but dunno, seems hard to make them go up her head. So maybe she'll just get some sheep ears that I can plug in and I don't have to worry about the shape too much. XD

      I sent the payment this morning for MSD F-21 so now I'm just waiting for a shipping info. Excited! :3

      Had anybody else heard anything about MSD-sized School heads? Or would these be considered as "Midi" sized? I've searched both Volks USA and Volks Japan, and can't find any info. I've also sent a FM to the poster of this pic, but haven't received an answer, yet.

      Maybe this person is just referring to this mold as "School A" because in their eyes it looks like a miniature school A head, like how MSDF-06 is called "Mini Anais"?

      That looks like Msd School kit Schultze or Maria. Volks did Msd school heads but they were sold as kits and given mold names. Kits are whole dolls to be assembled and painted. Volks never referred to them as school head msd A.
      Msd Schultze and Maria heads are very similar to School Head A. An Msd head would fit a Midi body.

      I own a Msd Schultze. I named Valentino.

      How many NY Dolpas were there anyway? When was the last one? I went to the first two, but I couldn't make the one after and I haven't heard about any others. It would be nice to have another one. It's always wonderful seeing so many lovely dolls.

      There were 4 New York Dolpas.
      2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010.

      2009 was canceled due to flu outbreak.

      I vaguely remember something about the dolpa being cancelled due to the flu. I quit the hobby not long after that so I wasn't keeping track of dolpas. Didn't realize they had one in 2010. Oh well, I hope something BJD related comes to the NYC area sometime. :)

      Aaand I remember that several visitors to NYC had their dolls stolen because they weren't keeping a good watch over their stuff (while waiting for cabs, or something), and either 2010 or 2008 there were one-off/Limited edition display dolls stolen right out of the meeting room! Volks was really disappointed with the news & general dishonesty. They were doubtful that there would even be another NYC Dollpa – even before the Sickness or Tsunami disasters occurred. Then they close their LA storefront. I'm almost afraid to send an eMail & ask about the possibility of another US Dollpa!

    19. It was 2008 I believe that the dolls were stolen. (That was the last Dolpa I went to) and there were rumors that 2009 was cancelled because of that, though the flu was also a very good reason to cancel. That Dolpa while getting ready to depart for my bus I had one of my dolls stolen from right in front of me in the hotel lobby, but he was swiftly returned due to the amazingness of the bell hop. That year was kind of crazy all around!

      I do hold hope for another US Dolpa. The NY ones I went to were so amazing, and meeting Mr. Shigeta and Mikey was awesome.
