@clefairy I’m so happy that you’re so stoked about your new Volks arrival. They truly are amazing, aren’t they? (I once purchased one for a specific character, and somehow later wound up with half a dozen!) There’s just something magical about them. Ohhh my gosh what a sweet boy and what a beautiful picture!! I love his outfit, and the way you framed him with the teddies; he looks right at home with them, like a beautiful antique doll treasured by some little girl a century ago. Thank you!! ^__^ I’m excited too!! And yeah, I agree. This boy was an impulse purchase, but now I’ve started sketching up his story, and it involves two friends who I’m also planning on shelling as Volks minis now...
@PoeticSoul @clefairy Thank you both! Trying to find non-dresses for a DSD is not easy, thankfully Volks recently put out a MSD unisex outfit that fits the DSD body. There was another MSD outfit they made as well that was said to fit DSD, but as this one was actually pictured on a DSD I went with it. I may go back and see if the other outfit it still available though.
As a teacher, my favourite time of year is the summer since I finally have time to play with my BJDs. And by play, sometimes it’s just sitting with Michelle laying in my lap while I watch TV.

Ahh I love how their dresses match the props and everything!! ‘06 Rock restoration project update, if anyone’s interested (I am SO sorry for butt quality photos, I do not have a good setup yet): Before and after 1 month of sanding: Spoiler (Edited to not make pics stupid huge lol) I think he’s improved a lot color-wise!! I’m guessing he must look closer to his original resin color now, although I lack the expertise to say for sure? Plus while I was at it I got rid of some stubborn dark stains as well as all his seams. I feel like my hard work was worth it!! Next is to send him to the artist for body blushing. I should have in-person pics of his new faceup in a few days ^__^

I ordered a SDM from USA's FCS for August! I went with f-45 and a volks faceup. I want to get her the bat outfit that's currently available on Volks jp and make her a little vampire The wait is going to be hard, but worth it!
