Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I am with you 100% I prefer the more girly immature girls, which is why I do not own any SD-16 girls although I adore Kira and Daria. Every Dolpa I hope a pray for a WS Luna lol I hope they keep the SD-10/13 girls coming too.
      I died when I saw that V-cut and those biceps, this body is truly a work of art.

      You are so right Izam, a FCS SD-17 might bring down those high after market prices. I know quite a few people that would be thrilled if that happened. The promo photo does look like a rather large man.

      I LOVE THAT BODY SO MUUUUCH.

      I love my Yukinojo, but unfortunately even though his clothed silhouette is beautiful, there are some things I really dislike about his body unclothed and mechanically I feel like he could really have been improved.

      I already want this body for Uwe haha.

    3. I am really excited about this new guy. I am secretly hoping that it's not going to be for Dolpa 26, but rather the next Dolpa because I am way too broke! It would crush me to miss a big guy like this!

I was beginning to wonder if they'd ever dip their toes back into the territory they created & promptly abandoned with the SD16.

      Curious about the face now! Love those Tokyo Boys. :aheartbea Curious as to where their little story has taken them lately.

      And, maybe this giant means that Volks will start making shoes that fit EIDs. Gou dude looks freakin enormous. Fringe benefit. ^^

      This more mature/muscled body type seems to be what is most popular right now so I can't say I'm surprised they'd come out with a body like this but, while I can appreciate this style, it is really not my taste or what I'd want for my collection. I hope Volks does continue to keep those who enjoy their older aesthetic in mind.

    7. I really think Volks is not moving towards what other companies are doing, they are re-exploring a body they created a long time ago and perfecting it. I am glad they are moving back in this direction ^_^

    8. I agree. While they are certainly aware of the current market, Volks was the one that started the trend toward more muscle with Yukinojo. The DollZone copying fiasco derailed that for Volks, but perhaps that was for the better in the long run? Certainly the SD17, SDGr and this new SDGou are vast improvements!

    13. I am usually on the fence when I see a big new buff boy body from any company. I guess I am most thrilled because I have all of the other large Volks boy body types, they are all my favorite boy body sculpts (visually and to pose) and it is my favorite-ist resin type in the BJD kingdom. Oh please let him be 65-67cm! :eusa_pray

      My other thought about this doll as an SD16 revamp - Yukinojo was always the odd man out in that his neck size and head hole were soooo large you could not do an easy hybrid with any other Volks dolls. Perhaps the redo is also a standardizing so you could use an FCS head or SD17 head on the SDGou body or put an SDGou head on an SD17 body. It would make sense. :3nodding:

    14. Oh, now that's an enticing thought! It would certainly make sense to me as well - I always thought that one of the reasons that Volks may have moved pass the SD16 line to SD17 was because the SD17 boys have always been much, much more compatible with the rest of their lines.
      *sits and thinks about the possibilities* Oh baby - that would just be way too much fun. :whee:
      (65-67cm is also my hope!)

      I hate to be the bearer of bad news everyone.... But according to a Japanese blog a good friend of mine just translated for me this December's Dolpa marks the Tokyo Boys' anniversary and the SDGov will be released then... I don't know if this information is speculative or actual information at this point, but it kind of makes sense... Yukinojo was released 6 years ago at a December Dolpa:o

    16. I wouldn't say he's Iplehouse big, am I having proportion issues? He's not too terribly barrel-chested in my opinion, his torso is muscled but slim as well. He's looking hot to me, about as muscled as he can be without being too beefy for me. His collarbone and hipbones look amazing, I can't wait to see more!

    17. Honestly, I feel like Volks is about 3 years behind all the other companies. I have no doubt it will be an excellently crafted body but it's not exactly innovative and it's certainly nothing I haven't seen before. Volks seems to be scrambling to keep up with the competition instead of being the trend setter they once were.

    20. I think they started the trend with their SD16 boy body long before any other company had a tall very masculine body. But, to each their own. ^_^

      I am looking forward to seeing what girls they will release!!
