1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

warning: acid jones - etsy scam

Sep 5, 2016

    1. yeah, was pretty sure it was a scam. i had no idea who Marina joyce is, I don't really follow a lot of happenings in the hobby mostly because of the drama haha.
yeah, i'll definitely report them to etsy and urge everyone else who gets it to as well.

    2. I just made a YouTube video about this to warn people.
I hope they have never scammed anyone before and that we prevented someone from falling for it.
If this was legit, Marina would have posted about it on her official accounts, and there would be no need to send any dolls because Im sure there are collectors near her, who would meet up and they could be there behind the scenes while she makes the video.

    3. I haven't received the message but if they have $200 to pay someone to send them their doll then why don't they just buy a cheaper BJD themselves? Resinsoul makes some nice ones for $200 and under.

    4. No way. Psshhh.

    5. Also I saw on FB somebody messaged them on etsy and I saw the same person on Instagram claiming to have dolls for trade and they had photos of other peoples dolls claiming to be their own. I saw somebody ask what sculpt one was and they said it was a minifee. Which it was a minifee. A minifee karsh. But I do not think they knew what the actual sculpt was since it wasn't theirs. I commented saying that the 2 minifees were not theirs because they belong to a girl who makes lingerie for dolls. And they ended up deleting my comment and blocking me then soon after someone had posted about them aswell they set their profile to private. So be careful on instagram as well. They are iroxykunbjd on instagram (where they have dolls listed for "trade") and their other account on instagram is toxic_sprout (somebody got a message about wanting to trade bjds from this account)

    6. Interesting. They also told me they have an account on Instagram as Toxic_Sprout and Resisting_The_Decay. The girl said her name is Vanity, she's in Florida.

I also got a message on Etsy shortly after from someone going by Neabulae Prince, asking to trade dolls with me. They didn't say what dolls they owned, or ask for a specific doll of mine. They had joined Etsy the same day they messaged me, and have no sales and no followers, no profile info. I just told them I was happy with my crew and they never responded. However, they did end the first message with a little "<3", same as Acid Jones did....now I wonder if they're the same person...

    7. If someone did go through with it, wouldn't it be worse for the scammer (because they would give a shipping adress)?

    8. I got that message...It only made me laugh really hard. I felt suspicious because this message was not Etsy-related.

I hope that no one will be scammed because of that...

    9. well, that came out ugly, lol. She/he is fishing as if you hit enough people someone will bite which is horrible. etsy has the given contact info she gave them I would like to see her get caught for potential fraud if not fraud [I hope noone has fell for this yet]

I just did teen or fake teen I think she's a scammer and could be dangerous to people mental health if they lost a dolly and there are trusting people out there

    10. Hi! I don't want to be a bother, but I just got a message on Etsy from this Neabulae Prince. I was wondering if we could change the title of this thread to a warning on suspicious folks suddenly messaging many of us on etsy?

My biggest red flag was the brand-spankin'-new account and the fact I have only bought from Etsy, never sold.

    11. yep, good idea post his link and message

    12. changed the title! let me know if that doesn't work, super tired atm.

    13. I have been reading a lot of this on facebook. I looked them up and it appears that etsy has blocked them. They will probably make another account. I wonder if they've been trying this for a while under multiple accounts or not..

    14. not sure but I raised hades with etsy over them over the potential loss of a doll beloved by someone. Just flipped over to etsy and they are still there, which one was blocked or did you just block them?

    15. That's good, I hope lots of others did as well. It is rather odd that they would choose etsy over instragram or tumblr. But I had heard etsy was acting like it was no big deal.

    16. Because they don't intend to actually pay anything or return the doll, they are hoping if they message enough people someone will be foolish enough to fall for the scam and the scammer will get a free doll.

    17. currently, I am having my own issues with etsy and am not overtly impressed with the way they deal with few things but we will see

    18. If you get a spam/scam message on etsy you can report it as spam using the option found under the "more" button when viewing the message.

    19. Yes I get that. I was saying if it were true and they had $200 why not just buy their own doll. I know they are fishing for a free one.

    20. I am glad someone put this thread up as I was going to get to it later myself. I have friends who have also got emails from Acid Jones and I got the one today from Neabulae Prince. I would not be surprised if they are all one and the same person. I reported them to esty them a messaged back saying I know they are a scammer and have reported them. They have not commented back which only confirms what we all know. I really hope they haven't scammed anyone out of their doll yet. At least the more it's talked about the more people will hear of it and be warned.
